Right now. He's never played football EVER, so who knows where he ends up. Could play O or D. We need to see what he's good at

Idk... it seems DL is where he is going to be working. The DL coach seems to be what Stoutland was for Mailata, I doubt that changes.

Isn’t the DL coach the odds on favorite to become the new DC if/when Vic retires. Jim Schwartz probably be in the running for the spot as well I image

So we are projected to have the 7th easiest schedule this season and the easiest in the entire NFC East.

He is the guy that I believe will get the job next

Any good organization you should want to promote from within whenever possible…Hurtt makes a ton of sense to take over wasnt bad in Seattle as the DC they just changed to a defensive minded Hc that wanted to bring his own guys.

And it’s obvious the impact he has had on the DL has the playing great ball Carter, Davis, Milton(23), orjomo(last year) and some of the other rotational guys

The whole board sees right through Ham's agenda.

What agenda? I just give my two cents on every Eagles move..always.

That he is too tall? But Mailata isn't? The one inch matters that much?

Plus isn't acknowledging the first step to " fixing " anything?

He’s not Mailata. You need to begin with recognizing just how special Mailata is.

This whole post was stupid looking at 2025. Carter was a disaster mentally... from moment one getting ejected before taking a snap... and Davis play all season winning both defensive player of the week and special teams player of the week. Carter's play went backwards.

Just a complete horrible take on your part.

Similar to " the key being Gibbs catching the ball out of the backfield " he ended up with over 100 receiving yards and Detroit couldn't put up 10 points.... just awful take.

Actually feel it more proves my point

Agree with the position aspect. Still, to go as far as saying he can't fix any flaws??? Really? You don't have to dig that deep. Simply the idea they could have taken another player there is enough.

Feel they forced the pick over positional need. Also added in the film reviews I’ve come across explaining why I don’t believe he has a starter ceiling.

Sure acknowledging and being coachable are so key to fixing things. But some guys weaknesses are exactly what sinks them from ever getting there. Heck …MOST!

Thought it was a new offense?

Same HC….with same GM…built to dominate rushing.

You’re just a prisoner of the moment. This all went down fairly much like I was predicting could be problematic. Everybody else blew it off because nothing had happened yet like that as an Eagles.

What is "the workaround"

Instead of two handed punch….he does a one handed punch,

Just asinine take looking at Carter ...and you keep digging....perfect example of you and the shovel.

Stand by consistently what my take was and has been on the situation. I pretty much predicted what happened to a degree. Now the key is whether Carter is permanently physically messed up?

Mailata signed thru 2028, he will be 31 then. Say he's plying well and we extend him through 2030. That gives Bernard 4 years to learn the game, improve to the point he can take over for Mailata, taking some garbage tome snaps whenever he is ready for the experience. Sounds like a plan. What if Bell can take over for Dickerson at LG? May not fix the lane issue but that's a solid left side for the new passing QB's blind side. With 2 round 1's next year we can take the top OT if we so choose. Goolsby sounds like a guy we can use. Don't even have to move to 1. He has played both left and right T. Let Lane start the year with that kid taking over when he's ready. Now you have your 4 horseman for the future in place

Benard is Clint Hurtt guy all the way. He stood on the table for him in the draft. He personally has worked him out. Uar is Dline.

I mentioned Stowers well before you buddy you can go back even further and see this

I never claimed you didn’t like him…or anything about anybody else. I did my draft prep and very much singled him out on my own as our pick. Then FL and I discussed whether he’d still be available for our second pick. Wasn’t so sure.

That would mean ham has to read others posts and acknowledge them.

Stowers was my early on favorite TE in the draft lot to like about him former QB smart player freak athlete probably the best in the class even better then Sadiq. Obviously raw fairly new to the position only 3 years as a FT TE think he split reps in his first two seasons of college between QB/TE. Has to improve as a blocker.

Probably also because I had Sam Roush on my board at TE as well since he was the complete opposite of Stowers being the more traditional inline TE similar to Geodart and Kraft(GB). Seen him as a real possibility as well for us.

Knew it was going to come down to what the teams preference was in a new TE

Yeah I didn’t look at the hundred mock draft attempts by all before I had finished my own draft prep.

This was the result of " what did Trench Warfare experts say about Markell Bell"

I form my own opinions. Don’t believe in the player. But then after we drafted him digested even more specific intel about him.

Just curious... " mid round Day 2 pick " where was he selected?

I’m sure you can find some person..somewhere saying anything. The guys evaluating him I agreed with weren’t fans if him. Called him day 3 pick.

Clint Hurtt personally gone after this player. Pretty much feels so much like the Mailata scouting by Stout. Our Dline coach now pretty much taking over that role now with Stout run out by Siri.

But yeah…he could play LB…honestly S wouldn’t be totally out of the question. But he’s playing Dline. Possibly all across it.

Uar could be the key for Hurtt to close the deal of earning that step.

I’ve felt like he has been Lined up by Fangio. Parker likely would have beat him out…but he’s DC for the Cowboys now.

I don’t like Bell…we clearly were feeling the need to get a RT. It was a forced pick. Glad they didn’t force the first round pick. Believe it could have been a T very easily but they had a run on them.
