My belief was Rosie screwed up fairly decently not retaining Reed Blankenship. Just set him up as the obvious leader of our Secondary. All aligned by Fangio…but under Parker. Blankenship that blue collar right kind of leader, ideal. Had the total respect of Q and DeJean.

Last year you said we were moving DeJean outside for the "big money", but now you question it? Now but not last year? Isn't that why we got Wollen? DeJean will be paid no matter where he plays because he brings value to the team. DeJean is best as a roamer. Mahomes found that out the hard way.

Chargers plane in Philly- I can't rule them out for AJ yet, but that is stuff they can do by phone. As it's offseason, teams sometimes use their jets for charters to pay some bills. As a former pilot(Cessna 150 aerobat) I also know some places have the only tech who can do a certain job on certain jet parts. Maybe there is one of those in Philly. So we'll see soon. Still assuming AJ goes to the Pats, but last I heard there was no real deal in place unless it was done with nods and winks LOL

Thomas Jr gives us another big body WR to play outside still on his rookie contract, extra 1st rounder. Jags get the better player right now likely fit better in the Coen System

This has been the FO way of doing things at S for a while now. McLeod was the top S let walk after 21, Epps after 22 over paying him opening up the spot for Reed, Gardner Johnson walks after 23 because we didn’t pay him(end up bringing him back in 24 cheap) after 24 move him again and draft Mukuba.

Now Reed time was up and already talks of Coop playing S in the base D.

Clearly looking like the Eagles and Vic are looking to Cooper Dejean to take over the mantle of leader in the secondary…. And image at some point few years down the road we will end up seeing him go S full time

Mean little but positive early sign for our rookie OT he was taking first team reps in OTAs at RT with Lane Johnson not in attendance.

It would fit in the range of what the Eagles want for AJ trade. Being similar to the Quinnen Williams trade package. Also have Waddle going for a 1st and a 3rd.

1st round pick I see staying don’t think Thomas Jr would command that type of compensation. Instead of the high day 2 pick though replace that with the player. Then likely some day 3 pick swap.

Of course it comes down to how true are the rumors Jags want to move Thomas Jr as well and if they like AJ.

But don’t see it as super unrealistic trade

His passing was stellar??? His decisions were top rate???? His field vision improved??? Why do we need another WR? If they really wanted to help Lawrence the Jags would keep Thomas and add AJ. What do we do with Wicks that we signed for 2 years? Chargers actually could be a team. Herbert is wasting away there(no not because their jet was in Philly lol) AJ would be great addition in LV for their brand new franchise QB also. I'm not going to guess,I will just see what happens in a few days

Well I wonder how far and how creative Fangio can get in the Secondary this season? Really would be fantastic if we get one more DB going. I know I’m greedy. We have room to get some decent playing time to one DB that steps up….or traded for. That’s before even considering injuries.

Why wouldn’t you add a former 1st round WR that is only 23 years old if available? Rumors the Jags could be looking to deal Thomas Jr are already out there as are they are interested in AJ.

As for Wicks you keep him he adds depth and he should still compete for the other outside WR spot against Thomas Jr.

Both guys are cheap option one of his rookie deal and Wicks extension nothing that crazy either by the time they both came up for new deals then you make the decision on who to pay or if you let them both walk

We’ll survive….but there were many intangible qualities he was holding down. Blue collar…hadn’t made much money guy….leading the soon to be huge money high draft picks. All arranged and worked out under Parker.
