I’ve been of the opinion having a qualified coach with any legit actual scheme will just be such a massive boost. That part I consider my expectation for this organization to provide both our Oand D with.

Alright so the Playaction area Hurts already clearly been digesting more than just a little bit…here even before June. Huge boost!

I’m hopeful with what I feel is a likely reasonable expectation that Mannion going to install timing pattern throws/ing. There is an exact fundamental way for an NFL QB to go about the process of quicker timing throws.

Something Hurts hasn’t really had in his repertoire. Hitches, Slants along with Ins and Outs have been here. But all from the Shotgun.

Be so massive for Mannion to just drill drill drill into such a dedicated hard working leader like Hurts as many as possible. These don’t take a massive laser flick of the wrist or anything. Three step drop from C and hit a precise target leading his receiver.

Five step drop timing throws. This is something always could just be taught. All of which Hurts hasn’t ever been exposed to really.

Throwing motion from Hurts isn’t mollasses levels like Foles. But that element isn’t any obstacle can’t be overcome. Whatever Hurts needs to do for each timing route? Identify his version of the answer to make it happen. Then it’s just rep rep rep. 

All learning from scratch for Hurts…along with …I’m the only one disappointingly ever recognizes and identifies it’s about the entire O unit on the field has to be exactly together gel on the same page.

   Huge boost I don’t even doubt in my mind for Hurts. Especially if Mannion is capable of hybriding it specifically to our players attempting to execute it.

   You need to begin from an understanding about that AR been running and adapting it as long as anybody. He still is introducing new elements and ideas to Mahomes every year …so far at least has been confirmed.

My point by exampling AR is showing the most experienced and proven capable HoF coach(far from Bronze Standard..All time great) isn’t capable of just throwing everything at anybody with some blink of the eye. We have a third year coach trying out his version of this scheme for a test drive virgin run.

1)Can’t possibly expect Mannion first actual real testing and implementation to be at McVay, Shannahan or AR levels proven experienced ironed out.

  So ceiling for Hurts and our O can’t possibly be expected anywhere elite at those levels. That’s just simply basing off the first time OC.

Hurts couldn’t be further from experienced running this O. Totally different. So there’s an obvious learning curve at play.

So actually the answer would be NO about Hurts just full on running this completely foreign O anytime soon.

Hurts hopefully can add some key chunks to his repertoire. Playaction is more than just one play. It’s a whole suite and section of the playbook. Mannion almost has to focus on getting a large bit of this Playaction whole piece of the O installed and smoothed out quickly as can be done. Can’t skip it regardless. I know Siri and several here,especially FL, will be frustrated and wish to abandon the process. It can’t get be accomplished just in a single TC. Not like much actually really can. Takes actual game conditions and experiences. Doing it versus the Panthers isn’t the same as how you can work it against Spags. Different coaches along with differing talent skills of defenders assembled has to just be faced and dealt with.

No substitute for plain experience under real actual fire!

Mannion clearly wasn’t same style QB as Hurts. But believe he can teach well learned and rehearsed detailed blueprint on timing throws. Hurts really close to just learning from square one frankly. At least not full of wrong bad habits.

My mind revolving around footwork. Mannion is going to completely drill into Hurts proper footwork. How to hold the ball dropping back.

Adding the element of quick passing game getting the ball out quick.

I always just took this factor for granted as obviously ingrained deep within every O. Been completely missing under Siri. So embarrassing while frustrating.
