You see guys who leave want to come back. Why is that? Must be worth something. He's better than all the BU's we had, but you are right we need to see if he's worth the loot. He seems very happy to be here

July 18Jul 18 Author So IDK said he's covering Smitty just fine, so either 1)Woolen is ready/effective or 2) Smitty isn't the 1 we thought. I'm betting on the former. He's only on a 1 year, so if he's bad Howie left an out. If he's locking Smitty down and that is correct we should have a suffocating secondary that can't be thrown on. Of course real camp starting soon where we will know alot more.
July 18Jul 18 On my numbers through 40, I left off my man Vick at #7. Not sure why I screwed that up.5 McNabb, but more because I don’t know any other 5s. Same for 1 Hurts.2?3?I don’t watch soccer, never have…maybe some soccer guys.I stopped watching baseball at the 1982 strike.Haven’t watched basketball since MJ.So missing plenty of options in those sports for lots of years
July 18Jul 18 Nolan Smith and Jalyx Hunt…are those the DE starters? Who are the backups? Those two don’t excite me a lot at that position. They are good; not great.Campbell takes over for Dean. Can he do it?Joe, what excites you so much about the defense?
July 18Jul 18 The ESPN reporter also described a widespread respect for Hurts’ intangibles while pointing to the statistical realities that have tempered his reputation as a top-tier quarterback heading into the 2026 season.
July 18Jul 18 "There is a great deal of respect in the league for Jalen Hurts, for his intangibles, for his toughness,” Fowler said on 97.5. "He throws a great deep ball, and he does a lot of things well.”

July 18Jul 18 There's a great detail in which they coach, and there's a precision to their offense, and there's a physicality to what they do, and it's complementary," Macdonald added about how the 49ers perform under Shanahan. "Everything's married off each other. All the route stems are married off each other. They vary their pass protections. The run game is diverse but complementary. Again, they're constantly evolving, so you have to keep pace with that, and it's not easy to do, and that's why they've been so successful."
July 18Jul 18 Maye was present for all of the team’s voluntary practices, and had some really strong moments (plus a few uncharacteristic mishaps) in those," Graff wrote. "But a few voluntary spring practices are hardly a reason for concern or optimism. Instead, what was telling was what the coaching staff wanted Maye to work on. They want him more in control of the offense, so they spent time at practice without giving Maye a play call, hoping he could figure out what to run on the fly based on what the defense was doing."
