No idea.Argentina goalie faced 20 shots instead of three. Gave up just one goal. The more impressive feat I’d judge things as. Not some weak soccer players striking either. Several Spain players possess absolutely sick legs. Rifling rockets at goal…pretty nonstop. Spain players can power shots from almost anywhere once they get past midfield that are struck so hard they could possibly force a rebound off the goalie’s save. Unlike pathetic USA soccer. We have two …maybe three guys only that even possess any kind of power shot ability. Nothing like half the Spain team can do. We have three guys that can force a rebound off world class goalie with their best strike …pretty much inside the box only.
July 20Jul 20 Cape Verde some small island off the coast of Africa has a population just over half a million people only. Way better soccer team than USA. The went toe to toe with defending champ Argentina. They weren’t outclassed. If the case was small island relied on a couple elite world class players…while being surrounded by just enough decent…or not terrible players otherwise….you know a stud athlete can be born anywhere. But this wasn’t the case. Cape Verde wasn’t just 11 capable players. They weren’t riding 11 do or die from start to finish. They were substituting!
July 20Jul 20 Cape Verde half a million population capably fielded world class team. T-E-A-M! USA with all our millions population is the team only can field a couple strong players we rely on instead. Idea of quality substitutes being laughable. We don’t even have worthy starters.
July 20Jul 20 USA props up any soccer player with any decent leg…that can maybe just perform some back heel pass occasionally(pick any form of beyond simple basic soccer move). Most all of the rest of World Class teams chose from a hundred such capable players just deciding who makes their team. Basically our best elite poster boy…is just considered normal qualified player on any other real teams. Cape Verde didn’t have the super stud elite player….but could turn to their bench against the biggest toughest opponent in the highest level of moment.

No reasoning for this embarrassment! Talk of America favors many other sports instead at fault for our complete failure to field a world class team my entire life. Bogus! Island …Off Africa…barely 500,000 people proved to be way ahead of where we ever have been in my life. Yet we can’t find 10…11 soccer players in our millions of people? Think about it….Pennsylvania(pretty much pick most any state) should capably produce better on its own …than our entire national team ever has. Way more people than just half a million African islanders…
July 20Jul 20 USA soccer is a complete embarrassment! Wish I’d stuck with soccer instead of choosing football and basketball. Never was going to be fast enough to go anywhere being only 6’1” in those sports. They were my passion though. But you gotta have Answer(Iverson) level quickness at 6’1” to have a prayer to reach any levels at basketball. I pretty much could play any sport fairly easily all my life(not to brag…just to make the point more clear). USA soccer I might have been National Team capable….at least from the aspects of being quick with speed at 6’1”. By speed …nowwhere challenging most NFL combine 40 times at 4.5. Not really sure what my forty time ever was. Could run forever….extremely competitive.

But really more about how pathetic our national soccer team is…ALWAYS HAS BEEN!

I moved and stopped playing at very young age. My rival competed against every year full scholarship to Notre Dame(crazy money tuition). He was a top player for them…well talent wise. He unfortunately was derailed being alcoholic. I watch USA soccer seeing players doing things I knew better than before ten years old even. Like job receiving hard cross in front of goal with header is always to get it down. Our best our best….heading it over goal …OFTEN.
July 20Jul 20 We did create some brilliant moments this World Cup. Finally! But then followed it up with terrible garbage. Ref dropped the ball for us and our guy kicked it straight out of bounds. Our defenders were absolutely incompetent. They screwed up often maintaining shape and sticking with opponents that didn’t have the ball. Basic…like any person could at least do this part. But….worse than that…just flat out couldn’t defend even when matched up. Not talking about our defender getting outclassed by Messi. Talking about pretty much ANY world class players.

First PS game in 3 weeks.More veteran experience was brought in with the free agency signing of Arnold Ebiketie. Since entering the NFL in 2022 as a second-round pick by Atlanta, Ebiketie has totaled 129 tackles, 16.5 sacks, four forced fumbles, and 126 quarterback pressures through 67 appearances. The former Penn State Nittany Lion returns to Pennsylvania for his fifth NFL season. The Eagles signed another notable edge rusher to a contract just last month, signing A.J. Epenesa. Drafted by the Bills in the second round of the 2020 NFL Draft out of Iowa, Epenesa has accumulated 24 sacks, 135 tackles, four interceptions, and five forced fumbles through 91 games over his six years in Buffalo.https://www.philadelphiaeagles.com/news/eagles-2026-training-camp-position-preview-edge-rusherhttps://www.philadelphiaeagles.com/news/eagles-2026-training-camp-position-preview-defensive-tackleThis D will be pretty solid. The biggest question for me, even though not huge, is the safety position. In Fangio We Trust!Eagles123, love it! Get my priorities in line! I’m glad somebody kind of cares about my opinions that don’t matter. HahaThanks for the insight on the signings. I really like Epenesa! He is a workhorse with tremendous effort…at least he has been for the Bills. Great pick up.

I don't even care if they are cheap seats as long as were togetherThose priorities are great! My wife would say my priorities are 1) work, Eagles, golf…..then everything else. That would be fun GBNC! When I play golf, people give me crap that my golf bag is Eagles, hat I wear is Eagles, golf shirt is Eagles….and I tell them if the club would let me paint a golf cart with the Eagles logo on it I would. Haha.My wife tells me I act like I’m a part owner or something….she doesn’t like that I am sooooo passionate about the Eagles. Other than horseracing, I don’t watch any other sport at this point in life. Casually I pay attention to other sports, but I dont care who wins/loses. I still get pissed when the Eagles lose. Yes, stupid I know.
