July 25Jul 25 We couldn’t have a group of guys any lesser experienced in this new O. Totally as foreign as it gets.
July 25Jul 25 The 2024 Offensive Player of the Year has called himself a natural two-cut back, using his explosiveness off both legs to create something out of nothing. With the new system in place, Barkley is trying to improve himself as a one-cut back to get down the field as fast as possible.
July 25Jul 25 when Hurts takes deep shots, he converts at an absolutely elite level. As Jeff Kerr with Sports Illustrated noted, Hurts stands as one of the very best deep-ball quarterbacks in the game. His 118.1 passer rating on throws of 25+ yards places him fourth-best in the league, dispelling the notion that he struggles to make teams pay in the passing game.

July 25Jul 25 Author The good thing about this O is with a new staff we have experienced players(mostly) that will grasp and execute a new system. Siri is an excellent CEO, he understands the personnel so well. Those that have played in similar systems will be able to add a little to smooth things over. I'm not too worried about it. Keeping Hurts in NON PANIC mode is about all we need to do there. The O line should be better than last year which should help the running game. That was our issue last year with Bark not being able to hit the 2nd level. I see no repeat of that problem if the O line is better. Anxious to see if Hurts can get some kind of chemistry in the passing game. Wicks needs to be effective enough that teams can't DT Smitty. Again I don't see that being an issue, but we also know Smitty is kind of slight in stature/weight, so I hope the game plan is such that we aren't exposing him to open hits. I would like to see less hitch routes and more crossing/slant type passes where he won't be as exposed to hammer hits. Wicks can take the hits but we need to shield Smitty as much as possible IMO. It's kind of a role reversal from what we used to. I was playing with precision guesswork(lol) and figure Smitty for 1300, Lemon for 800, Wicks for 7-800 also. Tack on a few hundred for TE's and a few hundred more for RB's in the passing game. We really have too much for most D's to defend if we use them all correctly. Should be a super fun season to watch

July 25Jul 25 Smitty most likely going to post lowest yardage season yet. They’re going to be focused on him forcing us to win other ways.

So refreshing ... normally all obsessed about the Birds, who are backups here abd there etc. So nice to have other sports in the conversation and actually taking priority. Letting the Birds fly under the radar until there is actually something real. Let camp take its course and all those things work out on their own time. So much healthier sports environment at the moment.
July 25Jul 25 Reminds me of back in the day... nobody obsessed about the draft. We had Flyers and Sixers playoffs going on, the Phillies season starting... The draft was reading the Sunday paper and seeing who they got. Now... people post on social media before the actual pick is revealed...even round 7. It's nuts. This is why I laugh when people criticize the commissioner... under his watch the college kids running 40 yard dashes get better ratings than a finals game for NBA or NHL...or even World Series. But hey, this rule sucks...lol.
July 25Jul 25 Which sports do fans know the assistant to the assistant to the quality control coach... lol. It's an unhealthy obsession really. Hey we are going tp win now because we hired this assistant OL coach..He has the best technique for holding the blocking sled...lol
July 25Jul 25 This assistant was from this winning team 8 years ago... he helped put away the trash after meetings.. This increases our chances of winning now. Lol. Has nothing to do with our players...but our clean film room means a few more wins...lol
July 25Jul 25 Author As the #1 Smitty should have a better season than last year as long as he stays on the field. Last year was mostly hitch routes. Not much YAC chance with those. I'm looking for more breaking type routes since he's always been good at route running, even back to his college days. Smitty should have no problem surpassing 1,000 yards. "The Dagger" is great on deep routes IF Hurts can hit him in stride. That's a big issue since Hurts has many underthrows. We will suffer if the Dagger has to fight for contested balls due to crap throws, that should be Wicks role. Hit Smitty the dagger in stride and he's GONE. Quick decisions need to me made by the QB with accurate passes that are thrown with authority. Any noodle arm weak rainbows are going to get picked off. I'm changing Smittys name to the Dagger for future reference. I will still call Washington the WUSS(p*ssy cavers). The Dagger gets some excellent work out time working against our TOP CB's in camp

Less distractions for the players from the media is like you said, much healthier environment.

July 27Jul 27 Author https://texaslonghorns.com/sports/football/roster/rasheem-biles/16941 When college ball fires up, keep your eyes on this kid. LB for Texas. Could be available late round 1. He put up some nice numbers for Pitt before he transferred to Texas for his final year to hopefully get more TV exposure. Remember to watch for ASG's grandson at Wyoming
