They showed they want him, first denying Cleveland from getting him in a possible trade for Garrett. Clearly making it known he was off limits. Extending the 5th year option and now extending him 4 more years.I believe he is the only one extended that far at the moment.Next year they do the same with Mitchell and they can extend him to 2032.Wrong! You believed the smoke. He was the only guy possible to be involved in the trade for Garrett. Browns chose Verse over Carter.

Might still see Smith in a trade.Nolan trade value at its all time low. Look….you don’t sell at lowest value points. Nolan much better than being valued. Likely will be a very significant player for us even.

I was really excited (but too young to appreciate it) when the Sixers finally won it all. I lived through so many years of losing Eagles football. So when they finally won the Super Bowl in my late 40’s…..oh man, I went bizurko! It was such a memorable moment! You guys may understand, but most people thought/think I am a fool when it comes to my passion for the Eagles….living in Idaho…growing up in Idaho.I was so excited for Wentz as after that year he led them to enough wins to lock up home field advantage; I thought he would be a superstar QB for years and years. And yet he wasn’t. McNabb and Hurts are good and I’m super grateful Hurts helped the team win a Super Bowl. I just don’t get excited about his passing prowess. McNabb could NOT hit a crossing route in stride to save his life. Hurts wont even throw the ball in the middle of the field…and when he does, it looks late or slow or the wrong read half the time. Yes, I am over generalizing, but I hope readers here can get my point. I don’t mean to "bash” Hurts. Hurts is a slightly better than average QB…as long as he threatens a defense with his legs. If not, he is simply below average. I am NOT a QB whisperer. I have never played the position at any level beyond little kid football. But I did coach with some very intelligent former QBs and learned a LOT from them. Point being I am NOT an expert and don’t claim to be. Watching Hurts play, he NEEDS to use his legs to excel at his best. I like Hurts. Don’t want Cunningham to think I don’t. I would would prefer a Joe Burrow. Josh Allen. Justin Herbert….dare I say Patrick Mahomes. Reality sets in. There are only four of those guys and their teams are not letting them out the door. So we ride with Hurts. I just want him to use his legs so he can be the best he can be.I’m not blind. I just stand out believing our O has been embarrassing from Siri. He can’t teach…which I call coach. Passing Game Coirdinator been his right hand puppet Patullo.

The way Howie runs this team trickles down to the sustained competitiveness. If my neighbor is having Trix, let's just say I won't be having Fruit Loops. It’s been the good and bad. Mostly good. But my complaints surrounded his little negative holdups. He wouldn’t relinquish power by hiring anybody qualified to demand any power as a coach.

Hurts has no excuses left. Key for me will be if Wicks can show out so teams can't DT Smitty. Lemon is a real threat if used correctly. Hurts needs to move into the top 10 IMO. It's a tall order if the running game is working. I'm not going to whine about AJ. Wicks just needs to take this opportunity he didn't have in GB. We have hit page 3,000 even though I deleted alot of my early posts 🤣Yes …let’s see what happens. Imposing you and Cook labeling Hurts deficient throwing over the middle. Well it’s actually fair coming out of college. He was running a Spread. So wasn’t really targeting middle as much…TEs. Plus he isn’t prototype size. That’s the disadvantage. Natural limitation for him. Especially behind our monster huge mountain sized Oline.

Rosie couldn’t find that easiest piece left of the roster puzzle in a third WR. Heck…second WR…in my book.
July 29Jul 29 So if you have a WR known for blocking? Or a second TE known for blocking? How much receiving production could be expected?

I’d maintained this exact stance the entire time. So if you guys are right? While I’ve been wrong? Then Hurts still won’t produce over the middle.

July 29Jul 29 We already saw the answer provided. Moore just moved Smitty inside occasionally, Then what you know? Hurts produced in the middle.
July 29Jul 29 How is something just so glaringly obvious to me completely missed by most all posters here?
July 29Jul 29 Just now, cunninghamtheman said:How is something just so glaringly obvious to me completely missed by most all posters here?No guy capable of producing…here…or anywhere any of the dozens and dozens of attempts Rosie and Siri tried all these years.
July 29Jul 29 Heck…Siri had no O. Completely relied on our athletes to overcome and produce in weakest conditions.
