Not just the single deep plays we usually see, but stuff with wrinkles that drive opposing DC's up the wall. Things like changing where WR's line up. Drop Smitty in the slot and let the DC figure out what that means. Maybe we even try a flea flicker. I don't want an offense based on gimmicks ,but hey run something off the beaten path once in awhile. It sure worked with the Philly Special. I agree that Hurts needs to be able to run. Such a sellout last year, but as I also said he has a chance at redemption and I hope we see that. We know Hurts doesn't have a huge arm, but if he picked up some arm strength and can LEAD these WR's they can score. We lost alot of yardage over the years by Hurts throwing behind and they(WR's) had to stop and turn to make the catch. Those are lost yards. Hurts needs to take that step up. Quick decisions with quick accurate delivery. I will be sad though because we have too many WR's that are capable and we can't keep them all. Some team is going to get a nice BU WR whomever we cut. I think we can cut down on TE spots. We had too many last year. Stowers should provide enough incentive to free up a space or 2. Should be a good battle for RB3 as well. I'm still holding at 11 wins. I see no reason that can't be achieved. I hope to hear encouraging news about Bell as camp rolls on
July 30Jul 30 can i repeat my claim that eliot shorr-parks is the worst philly sports reporter, ever? the only thing worse is when he appears on the morning show and gets into it with james seltzer, who has the worse sports radio voice ever.

July 30Jul 30 Author Fantasy team 3-First one I actually drafted in LOL 4 Iggles players(well 3 plus the D). I'm fine with my BU's too. Counting on at least a partial rebound from Bark and a solid season from Smitty. Goedert-IDK what to expect. I think it's too soon to count on Stowers taking any meaningful targets away from Goedert at least early on. IDK what to expect from Jaxson Dart. he looked good last year when Scat was in(not so good when he wasn't), so if he fails my BU is fine by me. Herbert would have been fine as my starter so may have jumped a bit too soon for Dart. Happy with both my starting RB's. Iggles D we'll see so I snagged Houston and I can play the match ups(as I can at QB) drafted 2/10 they ranked my draft B, so I should at least be competitive. It's fun to play win or lose, so I took a few "risk/reward" shots in this one. Iggles selections are those since we don't know what's on the way. But I'm confident in bark, Smitty and Goedert and I think the D is going to be better than they rank them.

Problem being he doesn’t have the name recognition brand going for him….pretty much at all. Don’t think hardly any non-die hard Eagles fans have any idea he even exists. Even amongst Eagles media and faithful seeing him ranked as like 15th most important Eagles. A few lesser quality Eagles online sources I’ve seen trying to pretend there’s some camp battle between him and Nolan. Hunt already overtook Nolan. Many evidently missed it. Really Nolan and Hunt aren’t apples for apples comparison players.

Really Nolan and Hunt aren’t apples for apples comparison players.Want to add my optimism towards Nolan while I’m at it. Might have come across as a slight towards Nolan(my comparison versus Hunt). I’m actually of the mindset Nolan going to have his breakout year as well. He’s a hard working quality dedicated pro. I enjoy rooting for such athletes. He overcomes slight size deficiency by converting speed to power. He can play ball big time. Just always going to struggle facing durability issues. Which doesn’t even bother me…as far as I’ll roll with a player that plays at a high level when he’s out there at least. Give me a dozen quality games a season I can work with. After saying all this it’s tough for me to fully endorse investing in Nolan long term though. The wear and tear on him I predict as limiting his career longevity. There’s a BUT….pretty much surrounding his future price tag cost. Not sure he’ll command that huge contract payday. So don’t want to completely just write the idea off of him remaining an Eagles. Comes down to a real possibility he brings great value as a keeper option. Believing he’s a better asset than his contract will demand. He fits so well here. Good locker room hard working Georgia Dline. Credit him solidly as part of the crucial key culture in that room with Jalen Carter.
