Be so fantastic if Mannion can get up to speed on his own job performance anytime by the end of season one. That would be complete stud lightning quick elite O mind.

Wouldn’t hesitate for a second to fire Siri and promote Mannion if this occurs.

Honestly my bar is so much lower. Crazy steep expectations for the most inexperienced coach. Like all time flawless… never occurred in history skyrocket development. My bar….you know….even being really positive towards Mannion is at: by the end of the first season can Mannion show enough to prove he can handle the job and is the guy?

If Mannion looks like he can handle the job as Eagles O mind anytime this season? That’s enough for me to move on from Siri towards an actual O mind.

Haha…if Mannion gets anywhere near to providing levels of an O that players have even the opportunity to produce at elite NFL levels? I’m not just ditching Siri for Mannion. I’m backing up Fort Knox kind of top coaching salary to secure Mannion as Eagles HC.

Dang…my underdog depth G Micah Morris got injured. Really such a critical blow to a player in his position. I liked the draft choice pick with him. So believing keeping him could really payoff nicely over time. I’m not even limiting him to not getting to serviceable levels of G play if needed as a rookie. Maybe he gets stashed on IR(probably most realistic likely scenario). But then he’s not practicing which obviously I believe stunts development. For a guy in Morris situation just being nicked up maybe missing a practice or two? That could be the difference in him missing out on making the team. Even could be the career defining difference.

Cameron our young T development I look at as possessing a ceiling of quality starter. Got injured. Will he even make the team? Really so crucial our battle taking place for Oline depth. Moved another young T in to G this season. Obviously if he shows signs of G/T versatility? Huge boost for his chances making the roster. Hinton? Hilton? Not counting him out.

But Oline completely changed. So what is new Oline coach looking for and tthinking? Flip a coin. I don’t know. Honestly my answer is he wants to trade and bring in Darrisaw. I’m completely supporting Rosie working a miracle finding a way to swing making that move happen.

What percentages and chances do you place on the scenario of both Lane getting injured and Vikes understanding they can’t compete towards contending this season before the trade deadline?

Personally I’m placing percentages at actually pretty likely both do indeed occur. Now actually pulling off the Darrisaw trade?won’t be easy….or cheap.

I wouldn’t even be sweating surrendering the lofty draft to such a trade would require. Financially how could it work out though? You know I’ve been critical of Rosie too heavy reliance gobbling up cap with backloaded contracts and dead money.

Seems like Eagles money and situation already overwhelmingly already locked in. Outside player additions are not looking like any worthwhile consideration. Are we locking in Q at market setting elite money? I mean..actually he could really bend us over about as hard as he chooses with his overwhelming leverage. Not even going to be a single wasted second between Rosie and Q about less than highest paid DB. Be completely offensive to even approach him with less than record setting.

Q leverage is insane though! If Q stands firm on shattering way beyond top

paid DB? At What price can Rosie actually afford to decline retaining Q? Or how about this question? If Q bets on himself…how much would he get reaching FA? That bidding war would be insane! Way beyond 31 mil per season current highest paid DB. More importantly and crippling Rosie would come down to percentage levels of guaranteed money Q’s contract would reach. Not ballooned BS paper cosmetic

window dressing propped up appearance highest paid DB well over 31 mil. Q could easily NFL contract uncharacteristically demand so much more of that money flat out being guaranteed …locked in to his bank.

Q proven absolute elite in every aspect straight from Toledo the entire time. Quality character dedicated driven durable best DB. Lesser logic media minds knocking him solely based on not generating enough interceptions. I concur he can improve in this area. I’m not even doubting for a second Q is absolutely going to do exactly that producing locking in turnovers this season and moving forward. He would do it improving just on his own. But having an actual CB opposite him will provide opportunity. Predicting Q will be challenged more than ever this season. He’s dropped a few he was completely in position for. I’m not even blinking for a second considering Q limited incapable of securing the catch(you know…a very legitimate and common deciding trait why athlete plays DB). I’m positive he’ll absolutely erase any considerations about his limitations completing turnover production.

Oh yeah…since I’m so very clearly the singular poster option here to point out that FL’s attempted #Hurtshate bashing over first practices QB1 overthrow….witnesses reporting Hurts was sacked on the play. But…better not even get near stepping on our franchise guiding leaders pinky toe with actual contact….Hurts slightly frustrated dead play chucked the ball towards open Smitty. Clearly no version Hurts and our O didn’t realize the play was a failure…before any throw to try and define best ever franchise QBs HOF level tracking career path. Oh yeah…practice number three? Not PS BS game three. Not actual real game…or important moment.

I’m completely 180 from FL on this moment in fact. Play was dead and failed. But….what I care most about was Hurts clearly saw the open target best option. Not so worried about whether he can be accurate..especially so absolutely special and opposite he produces the higher the moment and stage.

You need a stat padding production in the first quarter of least important opponent matchup? Probably chose Allen as best option for that. Allen really at his best the lesser the situation. But Allen really has to prove he is capable not shrinking the bigger the moment pressure becomes. As of today? Allen label can’t even be reasonably debated as anything but not capable of champion levels. Dozens of QBs just wish they had a single season opportunity to grab a ring that Allen has experienced his entire career. To be fair…rookie season when he was terrible? That supporting cast wasn’t contending levels even if he wasn’t so irradically inaccurate.

So many would have absolutely seized that ring if they traded shoes with Allen. Champions! Heck QBs exactly have…with less surrounding in fact. Even more just never were given a single such opportunity ..all they dreamed or needed to reach highest goal.

Goodell and leagues absolutely king making lopsided Allen favoritism propping him up. Versus Hurts faces Goodell all out every possible move to thwart. Indoor SB grass they completely sabotage while refs make sure they block letting Hurts have any opportunity to get just a chance to answer like a champion. Goodell had to ref interfere 100 percent. Refs don’t seal king money making all out WWE levels for Mahomes? Not a single person watching or playing even was questioning the outcome after Chiefs kicked that field goal. You know…if it was a level playing field…not talking about grass but refs.

Everybody on the planet absolutely knew Hurts was answering driving us down and scoring. So much so….Goodell had absolutely no other options and cards to play to deny him(Eagles). Goodell knew if his ref didn’t end the game right there. He had to.

Had to completely demolish Mahomes to bring home the parade. Given any opportunity to interfere? Goodell 100 percent all out against us. Most powerful man in football pulled out dozens of power manipulations to thwart us…just to get the opportunity to seal the game for Mahomes at the end by making sure Hurts wasn’t given any chance to do…exactly what we all knew he was going to do. Hurts SB MVP game all the king making horses by most powerful man couldn’t deny him or us.

Eagles fans are making grave mistake! Have to get Goodell out. He completely is against us. He won’t let us win another championship. Only way was by complete dominating destruction! Shouldn’t let that accomplishment shield situation in any ways though.

Jakorian Bennet knocked the ball away denying Wilson securing the catch. Ouch! Big WR failing to out muscle bad CB while not producing separation. That worth ten negative marks against him to make the roster.

I know No Mas gobbled up Rosie terrible trade for Bennett…as more Rosie flawless great magic. But standing by my opinion of Bennet stinks. At least Carter barely missed a snap last season….fail! Gave up a proven quality DT depth player…we would have utilized in the rotation regardless. Carter weakest season contribution turned out to demand much more needed quality depth DT reliance. Just tossed him away for a bum.

Track record just so overwhelmingly and undeniably top quality. Yep

tooting my own horn.

There are so many areas I’m completely ignorant about…but I know me some Eagles!

So I totally understand why it’s frustrating for some to feel like all they hear is so many top players I claim as ‘my guy.’ Or trying to attack me facing "I called it.”

This is valid I am hoping to see the passing game as more effective this coming season as we look to see if Hurts is the answer at QB

I get it, but to me it's the same stuff every year

The team goes with the running game and the defense.

Do we really expect " this is the year" with the passing game? It sounds similar to Dallas fans.

We know the big contract extension is the issue....$65 mil per is going to be the market rate for the next top paid QB. They love all the intangibles and are giving all the chances in the world, but we know they are business people first. Option B would allow a lot of money to be spent elsewhere, that's the decision I don't think they want to face until after they take care of locking up the CBs.

Perhaps the performances of Smith and Hunt come into play. Maybe Ojomo too.

Would be awesome to keep that all whole if they all step up. But can't do it with a $65 mil per contract on the books.

Also you have to think they would prefer to get value in return. So lot to think about BOTH WAYS!

I just view it this way. Hurts has to show the CAPBILITY of a passing game and/or he is a threat to take off. And I don't mean the 2 yard OOB scampers to the sideline running 12 yards horizontally for a 2 yard gain, the OLD Hurts, the one that could turn a busted play into a 40 yard gain, you know a REAL run threat. Where did that Hurts go? If he is bad at both, teams will just hone in on our run game making us 1 dimensional which is what every defense tries to get the other team to do, become 1 dimensional. If Hurts is selling out again and not going to run and his passing is sub par, it really let's the other 52 down. For me, as a professional you never give up on a play until you hear the whistle. For me also that includes practice. If you practice wrong, you're going to play wrong. If you want to be perfect, you need to have perfect practices which we know both are an illusion but the ultimate goals. Like I stated when I was in bands, you practice until you can turn in perfect practices. There are no fans at band practice, you have to critique yourself and those around you, make suggestions, plug the holes, make the changes you need to. Only then are you ready to perform at a high level. Anyone who quits or goes 1/2 assed at practice will do the same when the stage is set. If you practice wrong, you will play wrong. I don't care which day of practice it is, you come to hone yourself and your game. Allowing yourself to play like crap and letting it slide, just means you have no desire to be the best at your craft. And while some days you may not improve, you should never be satisfied with going backwards. We all know Hurts succeeds because of the insane players Howie goes out to get through drafting or FA. Having a great running game should never excuse a QB from wanting to be in the top 10, not 19/32. Hurts did so much damage by running, got paid, then quit doing it. OK, if you're NOT going to do that, then I don't want to see missed opportunities missing WIDE OPEN guys downfield. If you gave up on the reason you were paid, you best show me your worth in another area. We watched Hurts "not see" WIDE open guys many times. If he's "OK' with those in practice, he will be "OK" with those in real time. If you can't take advantage of freebies, you are leaving not only yards on the field, you are leaving psychologicals on the field too. You have to BURN the other team for mistakes made, not let them go. As most said it's very early, so NP but I don't want to see practicing badly and accepting that as the norm. Bad practices lead to bad play when you need it. Hurts was AWESOME at the flag 7 on 7 "pro bowl" (which has now turned into to a bigger joke than it was before). I was labelled names because I demand my QB play to his ability and improve(as I do every other player), not because I spend busloads of money to put the best players around him to "COMPENSATE" for lack of improvement. At some point my QB should improve AT HIS POSITION. If I don't see that, he's not going to get another contract. I'm not going to pay QB 19/32 as if he was a top 10. RUN, PASS, do SOMETHING besides "mediocrity" and If I am Howie he should demand that right now. No, I'm not going to panic, but every day is 1 day closer to week 1. To be fair, I did not see the play, perhaps it was a bad call by the writer or he read it wrong, that happens so IDK, but I also watched in horror with everyone else, as guys waved their arms downfield WIDE OPEN and Hurts not even seeing them in real games. That's HORRENDOUS for a QB. "I need to do better" is old now and it's been repeated on loop too often. If you still need to say this after 6 years you have not improved. Hurts needs to be the lead on the field with steadfast perfection, not the same old mediocre we're used to. It's year 7 not year 2. Sorry for the essay. Rant over
