Any of those top school RB's are usually worth grabbing

Just a key offensive element we needed…think even Moore will want some of these plays. To me it was very highlighted missing element when Goedert wasn’t around. Believe Rosie and company very much noticed this also….brought in some options to not get caught without again. But they are small fast WR great at running those plays. I understand how it’s hard for people to wrap their heads around a tiny WR doing the job of a very large TE. But Goedert brings that special element we very much have relied on. Something Ertz never could do. Ertz great route running and recognition. A TE…but never a guy to design for YAC plays. Ertz catch and tackled guy. Goedert is much much more than that. Just get him the ball and he creates.

No matter how you spin it never going to replace a 250+ pound TE with a WR.

simple mismatch alone makes it different even if the play design is the exact same.

A DB trying to come in to tackle Geodart v 190 or smaller WR???? Ok you bring a S or a LB over to cover Geodart that opening things up for the run in the middle1 less LB or S in that field isn’t going to happen with the smaller WR.

Point being you can have another YAC guy great they aren’t replacing anything Geodart does or brings

Why is it key if it's not going to happen? The missing element when Goedert wasn't around was Goedert and why we need TE2 to step up

Not looking to argue. Just pointing out our specific situation. With Goedert hurt we had to turn to DeVonta to do these plays. It’s a needed piece to the O. DeVonta has much more we rely on him for though. So glad we brought in these alternate options. If Goedert is out…I expect one of these two WR to get that uptick and takeover that role.

Not hard for anyone but you we recognize having other players capable of YAC plays that far different then replacing Geodart though.

You can have multiple players capable of producing YAC plays doesn’t mean they are filling the void left by the other.

SO now were in that area where the big selection parties are over and it's guy sitting in basements with parents LOL

DeVonta took over for Goedert? Did I miss something?

You right this shouldn’t even be a conversation since a WR isn’t replacing our TE in any which way or form

I’ll be sure to point out the uptick in these players if Goedert misses a game. You just going overboard. I’ve never called these two WR TE2. Just specifically calling them in the battle to be the second option to takeover on these specific YAC plays Goedert runs. If one of these WR shows really well doing it…maybe Goedert’s role with them decreases even.

Clearly need that 185 pound TE replacement to go with smith at TE

Your thinking is just too rigid to even try to consider my point. Is what it is.

Lmao how many of these so called specific YAC plays do run that so drastically filling the void of Geodart

A screen is designed to fool the defense and get blockers out in front.

" designed YAC"  ????    kinda obvious.  But the guy catching the ball is the beneficiary of all the other elements involved.... Ertz wasn't a guy for that because he wasn't a guy they could sell staying in to block.

No I consider it pretty basic you could have simply said Smith gives us another YAC option fine I agree he will no doubt get plays designed for that…. Hell could and maybe even should get more plays designed for him if Geodart goes down would need a new 3rd option.

But that again isn’t replacing Geodart is my point it’s we have another player playing to his own strengths.

i don’t expect a 190 WR to give the same mismatches our 250 pound TE does….

Your point is a play where Goedert fakes staying in to pass block.   A key point that YOU are missing

Wilson,ok WR, he has some promise

Honestly I think it a far bigger problem if our coaching staff is trying to use our 190 pound WR in any way the same as Geodart. Two completely different players
