Idk it seems you are missing the concepts of the positioning of these guys.  They aren't going to be raising their hands to block a kickoff and they are 5 yards away from the kicking team who is going to move first. That's about 2 or 3 strides.  It's basically going to be a spread out OL type of blocking with the ball carrier starting deeper with the ball.

Ok C'mon MAN!!! 2 or 3 strides is all you need for an angle of attack 🤣

The D helps the O out…and the O helps the D out. Symbiotic relationship. Our SB loss…if the D makes a play ever would have helped our team. But let’s just take the Bradberry PI call at the end. He doesn’t get called for that penalty and the D forced a field goal? Hurts takes us down and scores. Just almost no doubt our O goes down and scores. A field goal to take the game to OT at least. Quite possibly a TD bringing home the parade though.

1. Trade him...get value back

2.  Keep him at the current salary but he remains " disgruntled "

3.   Overpay him

I'm not seeing another option other than releasing him without compensation?

WOW,I need to know how our defense helps Hurts play better. I'm all ears on this because i am clueless. The D get's Hurts more stats? a Better completion percentage? More rushing yards? What?

Actually the bribe happened for KC benefit. Those field conditions were a straight sham. If the league office doesn’t rob us we do win that game. Field conditions that all my life I’ve never witnessed such and egregious situation like that. But then the refs made sure the game ended with KC killing the clock. Everybody knew we’d score after KC kicked that field goal they were forced into. Robbed robbed robbed. Blame anybody you wish. My number one is the freaking league to blame! Our O almost still overcame everything the league put against us to bring home that parade. Very proud of Hurts, AJ, DeVonta, Goedert and Elliott. Those guys balled out. With everything against them..they would not quit or die.
