Find it hard to believe we would keep either coordinator. Vic might not be a hard sell to keep for a new HC so possible he sticks around.

Hurts I don’t think his job is as secure as Ham makes it out to be…. But I do think he will have to be really bad like tail end of last year for the entire year type play.

I’m believing the plan this season was based on the plan for next season. You see how Rosie and Lurie move so consistently. They hire Desai because he runs what was considered the closest to a Fangio D. Then hired Patricia. The D didn’t have the manpower last season. So Desai was a dead man walking from day one. The plan was always going to be turning things over to Patricia. Rosie probably had Patricia undercutting Desai all season. Giving Rosie ammo to use in his infamous postgame coach meetings. Where Rosie gives a hard time to his underlings even in huge triumphs. He has his analytics guys and then Patricia just second guessing Desai all along. Actually I was surprised at the job Desai accomplished. He really was lacking tools but I thought did a good job with them. Desai wasn’t the problem last year. It was the GM that didn’t provide enough quality personnel.

I see the opposite.  I don't think the roster was deep last year.  The timing of Cox and Milton injuries right as the physical battles vs SF and Dallas came up when both teams...in fact... like 4 teams in a row...had extra rest.  Not 3 days like Dallas and SF...buy that was huge...the Georgia DTs hit the wall.. defense was toast.  

I also believe AJ is the difference maker on the offense... we aren't going to win any playoff game without him.  Jam the WRs and take away Hurts running... well, that's the last 2 playoff games vs Tampa...just pathetic offense. 

No reason to believe we don't succeed this year.  A lot of the holes filled... including the 12 foot cushion on 3rd and 8s.

I actually feel good about Embiid.  This injury this year should have shown us what an older Embiid would play like.  He isn't going to lose skill...he will lose mobility and leaping ability.   He dominated and was the highest plus/ minus in the series by far on both teams. 

The problem remains when he comes off the court in the playoffs...the Sixers go into a huge minus situation. Hopefully they fix the backup 5 spot before wasting money elsewhere.

 

Rosie I believe deserves the main share of fault for the collapse last season. First we weren’t a world beating team to have expected or believed we had that quality of a team to be 10-1. Our guys did a great job rolling on the winning streak and pulling out victories each week. Pretty much didn’t matter how good our opponent was we just relied on pulling things out at the end…or OT twice. Niners and cowboys were far superior teams than us. Shellacked us. Should have been expected….except so many fans bought in to the 10-1 hype actually believing we were unstoppable juggernaut. The gap between us and the Niners last season was actually pretty much just that glaringly wide…as the score resulted in. Niners were so clearly setup for a SB trip. We had some fantastic pieces. But nowhere close to a complete team. Can’t just ignore a whole position group. The slot CB plan was weak…at best. Bradberry is understandable mistake at least. But paying him all that money as a fall back because Rosie was so caught up on showing Ceedy Duce who’s the boss. Bradberry had a fantastic one season. But no way it was a better idea to pay him so much more as an option because Rosie understood the market for CGJ. Rosie needed to bridge things and work it out with CGJ. Instead he had to prove his ego and he was right to teach Ceedy Duce. Rosie has brought in dozens of young CBs the last few seasons….before drafting Ringo. What’s going on that they couldn’t find or develop even one out of all those they brought in? Had a top Secondary coach on the rise in Dennard. Dean as the locked in leader and playcaller of the D was the largest leap of faith almost I can recall in a GMs Master season plan. He couldn’t get on the field at all his rookie year. I’m optimistic on Dean even….but durabitly has always been a concern.

But Rosie failed the personnel last year. Failed the coaching hires. I think the main thing that got the wheels falling off the bus was him enacting his plan to demote Desai and promote Patricia. Looked like the whole team lost all belief in what we had setup as a team. Siri is so likely being a stock together speech guy through the tough times. Then Rosie undercuts everything.

I think the biggest issue last year....was not getting off the field on 3rd down.   Just ridiculous stats on giving up 3rd and long... which obviously we did the job getting to a 3rd and long in the first place.

I think it's better karma now with the QB's babysitter no longer OC...and the WRs and a few OL got paid...not just the QB.  Every one  getting recognized now makes for better chemistry.

Moore being Siri’s first choice, not an RPO guy...is great for the rest of the offense.  I think the more uncomfortable the QB is during the offseason... plus no attention to his $$ like last year... the better for him and everyone else.

 

Some people focus more on people making a mistake....  for me... I focus on how the people handle it.   

What was wrong last year...wasn't going to get fixed last year.  But I was looking at how things would get addressed this year. 

To me it was bogus having the last two RBs as pro Bowlers.   They gave zero all around ability...they ran behind our line .  Barkley is a legit RB ..all around. Plus we got zero from RB3.    I believe we just upgraded RB1, RB2, and RB 3 this year.  Gainwell will benefit from the other 2.

White was on the outs in Tampa because he went rogue too often, wasn't talent.  We all of a sudden have a young athletic secondary.   I believe upgrades in the other WR spots.

Also... the schedule is night and day from last year.  Big difference.  9 road games and playing too many teams off of extra rest last year.  Much easier ordering of games and the more 1pm starts will help. 

From everything being hinted... not having Reddick in the locker room is going to be helpful as well.  

Person focused on getting more money and taking away snaps from the other guys... etc.  Been a lot of talk on the radio about that stuff.

For me...I like the former players perspective... we have Jon Ritchie,  Hugh Douglass and Ike Reese on for 12 hours here...  the dorky hosts looking for attention I'm not a fan...but those guys offer good perspective and i feel have some inside information that they hint towards...but don't really say. So their topics and how they choose to answer is something I pay attention too.

In my view the Eagles "issues" are not lack of talent,but lack of concentration for the full 60 minutes. You have to play tough out of the gate and their main problem was bonehead mistakes at times they needed the play. We will also have issues if Siri (and staff) cannot adjust on the fly. It's time for him to step up too

Didn’t AJ have a long streak of double minoring last season catching passes from Hurts? Yes….i did think Hurts was doing all the  right things to be MVP. Was leading our team to overachieve to be 10-1. AJ has been having the best seasons of his career with his buddy Hurts. Seems like Smitty has been doing well also. Not sure what you’re complaining about on that front?

The D clearly wasn’t getting fixed. Changing up the O to deliver more quick hitting passes to beat the blitz was just such an obvious solution. There is more than just a WR Bubble Screen.

 The RBs the last two years I’d be fine with….partnered together having the two headed monster backfield.

 White’s coach said he’d rather have a guy a step or two slower that’s headed in the right direction…than White. That’s where he’s at.

 

Our schedule is challenging this upcoming season. Green Bay, Falcons, Bucs, Rams, Ravens, Browns, Saints,Steelers, Bengals, Jags. Gotta go earn each of those wins for sure.

Those that believe we are stacked with so much superior talent than the rest of the league….lets look into that for a minute here. Let’s take our first four games. Are we really more talented than Green Bay? How about even the Falcons? Think I’d give us just a slight edge over them. Saints or Bucs? Niners and Detroit clearly more talented teams atop the NFC. Are we above these other four NFC teams we start our schedule playing though?
