In HS(seriously) our coach bought a whack- a- mole game and made us all do it.....repeatedly. it really helped us with reaction times,helped the D with getting arm speed up,the QB's to get the elbows moving faster. It was fun and a lesson all in one. They have a ping pong table. This should be used as a training tool not just in the break room. You get better...slowly,you don't notice it,but it you take a before and after the difference can be stunning. Coach would also borrow the pitching machine and would shoot tennis balls at us from 70-80 degrees. After you get hit in the side of the head a few times,you learn how to use peripheral vision LOL. He was an awesome coach,too bad he didn't go pro

Quez had speed,he wasn't a particularly good route runner. I am anxious to see what paris has. As I watched Ainias,I saw that "shifty quick" that JJ had. Although he isn't near JJ's talent level he had those attributes. Slot can give you a split 1/2 second,but thats a window Hurts needs to see

TBH I can't say if the coaching staff had enough confidence in Quez to call plays for him. I hope that changes now,or that on given plays the slot would be the 2 read not the 3/4 read. I believe Moore can help with this

yeah deep downfields,thats what they are best at. Hurts has the confidence with them,but at times they run farther than he can throw LOL,so he needs to get that release away before they outrun his arm

This is why teams will try to get Hurts to "stall" on decisions. He knows he can't throw 60 air yards (that is not a knock that is reality),the outside WR's can literally run themselves out of the play. In essence if Hurts waits too long they take themselves out of the play. You don't even need CB's

"Reads 1/2 too far away or covered, read 3- Goedert, read 4-slot, those are covered and I am out of here". This is the progression we need to see in under 5 seconds. If there is a window the ball needs to be gone in 2.5. You could also add read 5 here with Bark. if he sees Hurts in trouble he can find a way to offer a window,it not THEN Hurts should run his butt off because everyone is already downfield lol

Goedert very effective in the middle of the field and he is the BIG target Hurts can see. That's why Goedert was misused last year. He not effective on 1 yard sideline passes. The OC failed to understand the sideline is an additional defender. I don't see Moore making this mistake

Well during that span we got AJ and Smith and they took away target share. There is only 1 ball and so many targets per game. There should be one guy that shines every game and they need to understand this may not be your game for that. I would like to see more production from the slot. I'm looking for a fun, hard fought game vs the Pack. This team should be far more exciting to watch and IDK if the Pack will be ready for us. I'm looking for a win. Probably not the 31 I wish for per game(AVERAGE). But a solid 27 should work if our defense is ready to roll. 27-21 Birds

I was a big fan of the early McNabb.   But as he got older I got this sense of that he was no longer really trying to win...it was more " I just need it to be set up where everyone agrees its not my fault when we lose"

As I read your posts...it's the same feeling I get with Hurts for you.     

This guy has an embarrassment of riches of talent around him.... you really just need to sell yourself on this idea that it just can't be his fault if anything goes wrong.    It's really a lot of work that you put into it.  Just seems exhausting.

I'm expecting a completely different looks on both sides of the ball. The revamped D and how these awesome new athletes will be used and perform as Howie breaks tradition TWICE in the same draft. On O, I don't care what Ham says,this O is as potent as any I have seen in recent memory and that is league wide for me. There is one guy who needs to step it up and we all know who that is. This roster would even make ME look good. Air this ball out along with a top RB who can kill you every time he touches the ball. Rook mistakes are expected,but there is no question this is one of the most talented teams we have had in quite some time. I'm more than fine with Moore as OC,but I guess being ranked #2 isn't enough for some. Oh well too bad,he is our OC and I'm fully behind him and I believe he will make this team fun to watch as we should be unpredictable with the bevy of weapons Hurts has at his disposal. The D may not be stellar out of the gate. They should get better every game as they get on the same page.Once that happens,I see no team that can stop us. No one talks about Huff,but he can be extremely disruptive and I believe we see more stunts and Blitzes than usual. As a fan,I am super excited for my team and their prospects. Still a question at a few spots, RG,C, slot, but Bark will make them look good also. Using Goedert correctly will be night and day for this team. I suspect Gains to be a part of the running game with maybe a splash of RB 3 now and then. I'm sorry,I understand there is alot of work to be done with new coaches and staff. I believe they will put this all together. Siri needs to grow as a coach and I'm looking forward to seeing if he does that. he has a good supporting cast but as HC he needs to listen to his coordinators.Curious to see how Paris fares in the slot or if he loses that job fast to Ainias,but any production from the slot will be a boon for Hurts. I'm excited for this year and can't wait until we take down the pack in Brazil. Let's GOOOOOOOO!!!!!!

That Jets game was such an important game last season. We did so much right on O …yet they contained us.

We did a lot correctly on O....    except....   I don't think you will say it...but that was to me the clunker for the QB.  Really in his career there haven't been many..that was the one last year.

There is a difference between.... everything not working and wanting your QB to make up for it with his play... and the QB just having to avoid mistakes.   The Jets game was his bad one.   

What I think happens THIS YEAR... we upgraded RB 1....  added a RB3.     Semantics for me however anyone wants to hate on Gainwell's 4.5 carries per game for 4.6 yards.... the big difference THIS YEAR...Barkley could carry more of a load than Swift...plus Shipley can actually touch the ball vs getting ZERO from Scott/ Penny.

The Jets game should have been one where we ran more...having the ability to give the RBs more carries will be huge.

Keep Gainwell at 4 or 5 carries... but now add 3 for Barkley over Swift...and Shipley carrying it 5 -7 times... that's a big difference in these type of games.

I just think we have more variety if Hurts will use them. It's hard to be as predictable as we were last year with the talent we had. We have even more at the skill positions in my view than last year. There may be a weak link here or there,but really this is a talented roster. Best overall I have seen in many years

That sounds like a nice mix in the running game,bark is also a passing threat and I hope we use that also. Bark seems to be looking forward to trouncing lot of people this year. Even losing Kelce and the RG in flux,this is a better O line than any Bark had in NY

If this guy plays like this for us missing Cox won't be such a huge deal
