Why do you constantly put words in other people's mouths. And always extreme. I'm saying there isn't going to be 5000 approached here. Only so much they can do. going to come down to the players

We’ll see what happens. I feel confident in my thinking that we will see different tactics unfold on this play. Time will tell. LOL... what creative things do you think ... other than a pulling blocker? What can be done here. Where nobody can move... until the returner gets the ball? I agree we will see 5 to 10 different things that I just said... you act like its going to be 3000? Block straight... block right... block left.... pull... come back side... lateral or reverse. How may other strategies do you see here with this formation and nobody being able to move prior to the catch?

So a big one here.... a ball that lands in the landing zone (inside the 20) ... and rolls into the end zone for a touchback... goes to the 20! So... I would assume the returning team will look to place 2 returners... to prevent the kicker from trying to kick it past the returner. That leaves the return team with 9 blockers engaged with 10 cover guys. That's interesting. We will see kickoffs be lower now, hang time works against the kicking team. Almost like they are trying to score a goal.. land the ball inside the 20 but make it go fast and low. Nice!

OK... so you know how you go off in a different direction during a conversation and makes it difficult to follow. So.... how does watching the hall of fame game... and or.... hoping the Eagles let the other team score more during preseason.... so you can see kickoffs.... how does that effect Bradberry? If we let the other team score more in preseason... does that help Bradberry make the team? Does it hurt him? When you watch the hall of fame game tonight... how will that change your view of Bradberry making the team?

Plenty of people have the intangibles to be a part of a team and even to lead one.... but they couldn't play QB without tangible skills.... see the field and make a throw. How about those laces eh????

Bradberry not playing any ST does that become a factor? Just variables at play you aren’t factoring in.
August 1, 20242 yr The kicker isn't allowed to cross the 50 .. until the ball is touched or lands in the landing zone.

August 1, 20242 yr Will you attack the blockers specifically trying to get a gunner through to make a play?
August 1, 20242 yr 1 minute ago, cunninghamtheman said: Or is it like you pretty much suggest nothing matters…. Just whatever players out there? LOL... again. Do you expect to see the players that will make the roster,... play on kickoffs during preseason games? Or do you expect more guys who won't make the roster be out there? now we know kicker and return guys will probably be guys who are in the plans to make the team... of the other 19 guys... you really think we need to make the other team score more, so we can see more kickoffs with guys who aren't going to be on the roster? You expect creative strategies during preseason?
August 1, 20242 yr Yes I think we could benefit especially to start our season by getting in more PS returns
August 1, 20242 yr Author So what round should I take Mahomes drafting from 10th? I got him with pick 34(practice)
August 1, 20242 yr 3 minutes ago, cunninghamtheman said: Are you going to zone or man block the return? You don't have layers here.... again... other than... block the guy in front of you... block the guy to the right... block the guy to the left... pull ... what else do you expect here? Think about it... while you try to go block the guy thats 4 guys away... he is going to move forward... there isn't going to be too much time to set up blocks. AS THE VIDEO SAYS... WE KNOW YOU WATCHED THIS AND ARE SPEAKING FROM EDUCATED POINT OF VIEW.. not an ignorant one that wouldn't watch the video put out by the league.... It is supposed to simulate a play from scrimmage.

As Arnold said, there are no bad exercises. Just I don't put too much stock in 2 extra returns in a preseason game than the hundreds they will do in practice.
August 1, 20242 yr The beauty of this new rule.... it will be easier to simulate in practice over and over again, because only the kicker has to go back to the kick off line. Much different than 10 guys running full speed for 60 yards and then having to do it over again But hey, maybe that is too complicated for some people to understand here? A scrimmage type play, can be practiced a ton as compared to the old school kickoffs. Similar to practicing handoffs can be done on a larger scale than throwing long passes down field... at a much more efficient rate!

August 1, 20242 yr Just curious... on a run play from scrimmage... is the NT considered a gunner because he is just trying to occupy blocks?
August 1, 20242 yr Author Don't really care for the new KO rules, except for 1 aspect. It stops kickers from kicking into the EZ. They need to be more accurate now. Best kick(as I understand it) would be to have it hit the landing zone and skip into the EZ untouched. IMO there are too many rules to where the ball gets placed after the kick(if not returned). I suppose I need to see it in action, but I don't like more complications
