Draft done,I will post it in a few mins. I did ok I guess. Tua and Lawrence are my QB's. Rest of the team is pretty solid

Did we actually run Playaction? It’s a miracle!

Usually anything over 1600 you can contend. Mine is 1626,so not too bad from 10th

Yeah matchups never tend to matter.

On the kickoff...you are getting a little ridiculous.

Can you just write your team...didn't translate on here for me.

Make what you will of it. Ignore If you choose. Just making what I believe to be actual interesting football talk. It’s obviously my way to try and figure out holes and ways to gain advantages. For me it’s much more interesting…clearly more challenging to try and think through and come up with ideas without really having any major roadmaps. Not basing my thinking and ideas on anybody else’s ways. So these are just pure unfiltered original thoughts and ideas.

With two return men back there a lateral situation seems like easy low hanging fruit of an idea to mix things up.(concerning the KO returns)

I actually think I’ve been brainstorming some pretty interesting ideas. Some different ways of approaching the play than just the obvious straight up free-for-all. Seems like you and plenty of others only see it as the old school game we played as kids we called:   Now forgive the very nonPC terminology of my childhood back then….we launched the ball up and one guy caught it and everybody just tried to kill him….I wasn’t the one that named it …but the game (you guys are very likely familiar with it also) was Smear the Queer!

I had alot of picks go right before I picked(ugh)

I’m just spitballing ideas of any ways of deploying any strategic advantages to this new football play. Because honestly on face value it looks pretty lame and boring. Professional football players should be able to easily contain these returns. You almost would need something resembling the USA Women’s Rugby finish to make a big play on it. For those who missed it our women absolutely pulled out the most amazing finish. Dead in the water about to lose our girl broke a tackle and took it the distance to grab victory! WALK OFF STYLE!

There are rumors of them potentially shopping Lockett. Actually think it will happen. With him out of Seattle you could get that boost you need out of NJigba.

But if you just judge the quality of your fantasy football team according to some points rated scale predetermined …there would be no point in actually playing the game. You can autofdraft or buy some pay sites predetermined autoranker according to your scoring system. Some non football fan can do that much. The beauty is picking through and being able to envision where those rankings are wrong. Frankly all of us here pay plenty enough attention to the NFL to easily stand toe to toe ranking players with most any of these so called fantasy pros. Only advantage and thing I’ve really leaned on them for is if they highlight some matchup situation with stats …or mostly just their insider knowledge of any injury situations. I only really looked to them about wherever my guy was suiting up that day or not really. Always sucks when you choose to start the wrong guy. But when you go against your gut and start the other player on your roster because you were influenced by some ‘pro’. …that’s when it hurts.

They have fantasy leagues now playing ‘Best Ball.’ Meaning you don’t need to set your lineup each week. It automatically scores your best players on your roster. I’m liking this idea.

I just got so sick of having to manage the roster and put in the time every single dang day to play any high quality competitive fantasy football. Your matchup ends very late Monday night. Then have to get on waivers so quickly after that. Then have to hit the after waivers pickups if you didn’t want to loose your waiver positioning. Then have to get all into figuring out your weeks lineup based on injury and matchup information really before Thursday nights game. Check in Sunday Morning to finalize things watching the injury reports. Maybe even make a decision late Sunday or even Monday night. Just too much. I played several leagues to make it worth it. But inevitably started missing more and more times of getting my waivers in…or getting that weeks lineup figured out before realizing Thur Night Football was big for my team that week.

So I gave fantasy football up, started playing it with freaking dial up internet. Geez…that was serious work to accomplish back then. But Best Ball has me interested again. Think I could invest the time needed into that.

So what did you come up with after watching the preseason game?  Just curious?

Seems too obvious but then also more difficult because you won't have the overpursuit as much since the 10 defenders will be already set in their lanes especially the outside defenders.
