A question to ponder and i can see both sides. Should the Eagles play their starters say the end of game 2 and game 3? While no one needs stupid injuries it's still whole new concepts on both sides of the ball with new players and you need to see how things are meshing with the 1's vs different "opponents" you see in camp. What say you?

Pre is real football. It's where you sort guys to make cuts, but the starters only play against teammates in camp. You should see how things are working against different opponents

Different players in new systems. I don't want to get through week 3 before we figure it out lol

Daniel Snyder is out. They very likely are going to build a real football team now.

I’d like to see the starters get a series. This stuff is always fluid though. So it depends on what’s happening. A bad three and out and maybe I let them come back to end on higher spirits and confidence.

On D we need to play these starters. Building this new D we need to get things jump started.

We are having a joint practice with the Pats.

Well of the relationship is strained losing will only make things worse winning masks a lot of things as I said last season before the wheels fell off

But the impression I’ve gotten from everything this offseason if the wheels fall off again the Eagles FO is leaning HC over QB though couldn’t rule out a complete reset either

Created a very awkward  situation this season. I think they just knew they weren’t going to be able to grab a suitable HC replacement at that point this past offseason.

They’ll be figuring things out all season

Wilson making his case for WR3,or at least a nice piece of the time share

John Ross carted off practice field. Parris Campbell out with a groin injury. Ainias Smith has showcased stone hands. Devante Parker retired.Wilson has risen to the top by default.

Martindale added that he and Hurts spoke for about a half hour and discussed how the Giants game-planned against him and the holes in the Eagles' pass protection.

"It was very effective and he knew it, and he just wanted to know why we did certain things that we did. Then he went to work on that," Martindale said.

Hurts reached out to our rival DC in Wink even to try and better himself and this O. Can’t say I’ve really heard a QB doing that before.

"I've been doing this for 40 years," said Martindale, now the defensive coordinator at the University of Michigan, "and it's the first time I've had an opposing quarterback call me up. I thought it was pretty cool that the guy called. It shows you what kind of pro he really is. He's just looking at every angle that he can to get better."

Who run vanilla schemes.   Nothing is real unless the opponent is scheming to try to beat you. Vanilla plays don't say much.

Practice ....they finish around 9pm during camp ...that's what Nolan Smith said.  That's alot of work.  Not necessarily all game speed reps...but that's the whole day.

Wasn't that last year?

Is this another SF clearing the cap that is going to last a few years of discussion?

Much better than 5 preseason games combined

Always have 4 QBs at this point.   Three will go on the roster... one on the PS after the cuts
