But very doubtful a collection of random fourth string defenders are going to be able to handle that switching and trading off they had to do to follow the motion and beat the pick. I’d say their fourth stringers did better than our starting defenders did twice in the SB….you know when we gave up two TDs to the Chiefs on the same play with no defender anywhere near. McKee got the game ball(yes i realize it was a pre game LOL) Why didn't Kenny?

August 17, 20242 yr 3 minutes ago, GreenbleedinNC said: Well IMO the 2 does matter because when Shew had to go in(at least he tried) we lost both games,so it should matter IMO the #2 doesn't matter until he has to go and play.  August 17 really doesn't mean much. They can say anything... means nothing until a meaningful snap comes.

A play is executed. It doesn't matter if it's the 1's or the 5's. The play was executed

This one is right where you can see exactly what was implied.... yet you refuse to see it?  Lol. It was purposely designed as Siris answer predetermined. You are slurping it right up like he intended. I have no idea what that statement means…other than he got across we had a physical joint practice and he isn’t playing his starters.

True, but we're discussing who that should be should that happen. Like Shew, like Foles,it matters

I would assume he meant the starters?

Which isn’t what he said.  let’s do the math on just the starters getting 89 plays. How do we divide these 89 amongst the starters? 4 ways? O, D, P and KO? 22 plays for each

It was an answer directly to the question.  Our guys got in the work at practice..they don't need to play in the game. That's why he gave the answer Now.... whether or not the guys got enough work in... that's a different story.   But...." I don't know what that even means"  bulls#$t ... you know exactly what it means.  Siri is saying the starters got the work in during joint practice. That's what he means and you know it. You , me or anyone else can disagree if we want them to play.... but the answer implies the coach thinka they got work in during the practice....there is really no arguing that

August 17, 20242 yr And there is no " slurping " of Siri.  Andy or Chip could be the coach...and o would have zero interest in having the starters play in preseason.  Â

The play was executed Yeah …you really are trying to say that a collection of starters that have gelled together well versed in responsibilties of what to do with motion and switching off couldn’t have stopped that? It was close even with some random backups backups backups barely played with each other.

I'm simply stating the coach thinks they got their work in during practice So Hurts and AJ don't have to run a token 5 plays during a preseason game. That's what he meant with the answer.Â

August 17, 20242 yr Ainias caught it and got smacked and held on. That’s deep in the fourth quarter of a PS game. But I do agree QB made the throw, WR held on…great playcall. Would have been crazy great coaching by Mayo if they had stopped it.
