AJ and Smith both very good at YAC extending Hurts "range". Turns a 45 into a 60 but face it Hurts can't throw 60

I actually would say that exactly how far Hurts can throw

Maybe COvey runs that play. I don't mean to do this alot, but you can offer new looks for the D to worry about

I’m sort of with you…without being with you here. We both are thinking two players in the backfield could work. I’m just thinking they’ll be RBs. The area we have depth…instead of the depth weak area being depleted even more by taking a weakness and depleting a depth strength area. You know…don’t have WR and do have RBs. Taking away from the weapons lined up at WR isn’t doing us much favors. Adding to the WRs with the RB depth was more the obvious answer I saw.

Formations with two RBs in the backfield. Or putting a RB at WR. Or at least motioning a RB out wide. Those sort of things could take our strength to cover for our weakness.

I just want different looks not the same 8 plays

Hurts should be a master at the I formation. Alot of RPO colleges run it. It would play to Hurts strength. Then do it again but as a diversion. I hope Moore has this in his box of tools

Fake, have Hurts roll LEFT, BUT he needs to get set to pass,he is awful going left on the run

I formation with Shipley leading bark, Goedert out front, then let Bark lead block for Covey(or whoever) out of the I Tyreek and Aiyuk very good on sweeps out of the backfield

Nope…not jumping on the Saquan lead blocking for Covey train

Doesn't matter either way to me

That part will be great. We know we will get that. Long developing relying on Hurts to make the big play….should now be balanced out.

I GTG back later

He caught his last 2 how is that stone hands? LOL. He is a nervous rookie for effs sake

He was coming off injury also. I just have issues with guys whoms whole job revolves around catching the ball….when they don’t catch the ball. But this was the first of anything Ainias has done ever in the NFL. He’s stunk by all accounts so far. Think CGJ even called him out on that he hasn’t done anything all summer yet. It is what it is. Clearly he fantastic if he started clicking. But the clock is ticking.

What does Moss have to do with a late round slot guy? REACH and a ridiclous one at that

No doubt it was intended to be.

Kid hasn’t earned a roster spot is the reality to date though.

Better do it yesterday then because the clock is ticking to the opener

That’s what I’ve been saying. But maybe Rosie just waits to see if we honestly can be in reach of contending or not. Are we one or two pieces away from being a legit SB threat? Kind of like how I stated last season I thought we were a Patrick Queen level trade away from becoming a legitimate contender. Think this season we are a few smaller level additions away. Can Mustopher backup or take over at Nose? S depth concerns with starters having durability concerns. LB room(perennial issue). Number one for me has been third WR. Thinking we need at least Robert Woods level move. That’s the optimistic version of Woods potential this season at that. Want better…but you get the point..maybe.

Carter and Davis both need to step up now

Run stuffing it clearly falls on Davis being our number one weapon. Is there even a number two here? That’s the problem.

Don’t care what level coach you have on D if you are running a 3-4 and don’t have an effective or big time Nose play…PLUS crappy LBing…your run D will suffer.
That’s before even getting into how teams will feast on putting our LBs into conflict Run/Pass….because none of them can pass defend.

I bet Love throw s for more yards this year do we have a bet?

More yards isn’t making more big plays. You are confusing your stats here.

Jalen Hurts has been right at the top of the league in creating big plays. That’s just what’s he’s been very successful at.

In fact that’s all we pretty much relied on last season for our O. Teams figured that out..then we had problems. They blitzed and dropped back deep.

All QBs are weaker going to their WEAK side. That’s pretty well known at all levels of football.

Jalen Hurts could always throw the football a long way. He could always run faster than almost anybody. He could always make big plays.

Even in his late-season cameo as a 22-year-old rookie in 2020 after Doug Pederson benched Carson Wentz, Hurts led the NFL in yards per completion, averaged 5.6 yards per rushing attempt and had the third-most 30-yard completions in the NFL over the last four weeks of the season, behind Tom Brady and Deshaun Watson.

He’s the opposite. Hardy ever been under C. He ran Spread formations. By two RBs on the backfield I’m clearly talking Pro Form style side by side dual RBs. Definitely not talking about running a bunch of 60’s I Form.

You see what you want to see. It’s statistical fact I’m referring to. Your Hurts Hater agenda just won’t allow you to understand it. It’s been the whole O we’ve been running the whole time with him. You’ve missed what’s occurred over the last three years plus. We rely on Hurts making the big plays…which he does as well as anybody in the league.
