I mean...you can run full speed with a bleeding lip.... if you have a leg injury that is slowing you down or preventing you from having leverage....idk if I want you blocking for Hurts and Barkley.

But with Ham's overanalysis per usual.   Mailata is the LT... Dickerson is the LG... Jurgens is the C...Lane is the RT

Those guys don't move.  Seamulo apparently never played LG before he started in 2017.... he did fine.   The next guy...whoever it is...is going to play RG now.

The decision is who plays that the best or fits in to make it the best unit ...they aren't moving any of the other 4 guys. We can stop that wasted thought...and put that right behind drafting LB round 1.

You were all for doing what was best filling team needs getting the best guys out there at CB. You don’t see this applying along the Oline though.

"However, Sirianni has reportedly taken full responsibility for last year's collapse, which should help the Eagles attack 2024 with a renewed vigor.”

  1.  This line had me laughing. Siri took full responsibility for the collapse by firing the other coaches scape goating them.

Right,I don't want the musical chair O line. Fix the bad spot and leave the others go. We can't risk Hurts getting hit on the blind side

Like I mentioned though Dickerson can play very well at RG…arguably the same as he plays LG. Our fifth best OLine option this second looks like Keegan who only plays LG.

My gut is telling me the kid from Michigan is going to be the eventual starter at RG.   I think they are forcing the big dude as the starter at the moment.  Could be this injury to the Jets guy is a blessing in disguise.

The need an opportunities have been there at RG all along yet…..they haven’t given Keegan any looks over there even.

Keegan has played on the left side his whole high school and college career

They had need at backup C but kept Hennessy at RG over that positions glaring need all along….despite C being his natural position.

They shoved Becton in at RG even though he’s never played G before.

Now throwing Toth in there. Out of need.

Steen was a T in college but they’ve been forcing him into this RG spot out of need. Never at LG.

Gates I thought they’d give a look since he has experience there.

A couple others guys given looks at RG …like Kinnard. Yet never Keegan. Singularly been LG.

What tells you Keegan can play RG?

Dickerson we know can play RG

Got a little sound bite from our joint practice. Hurts was smack talking with Jabril Peppers and stated that was the first time he’s been hit all camp.

Fangio talks about how in practice they don’t finish instead back off. That you don’t really find out until a real game.

Fangio "seven on seven isn’t football it’s a teaching drill”

Like I said I’ve had my eyes attached to that Texans roster. They have a real strong 90 guys over there

Woods would be the obvious choice, but I liked Metchie in that draft. He's only 24,not really established. Sitting behind others when we could offer him a chance to play. All these injuries are delaying the rooks growth. IDK much about Metchie in the NFL. I hope to see ASmith play more this last game so he can make his case to stay, but looks like a long shot at this point

Ans Scharping is a guard that they’ve been playing at LT - which has not been a success.

Maybe they should start camp all over….

Season hasn’t begun yet. So it wouldn’t really be musical chairs for this year. Could be seating out starting Oline as Mailata, Keegan, Jurgens, Dickerson and Lane. Getting the best five guys out there.

Sure it would, you want to blow up what already works. FIX the RG spot and leave the rest alone

Fangio said he wouldn’t say most of the time the down guys are responsible for a gap and a half. Pretty contrary to what we’ve heard before.

Metchie interests me as the YAC Creator potentially. He hasn’t done squat so far in the NFL though…to answer your thoughts on that part.

I don't care about YAC like you. You focus on that too much. slot guy should be a clutch guy FIRST,who can bail Hurts out after read 2/3. The only way you get YAC is if the defense allows you to LOL.. There are no YAC "creators". if you have the twitch anyone can get YAC.But that "twitch" guy is what we need in the slot. ASMith has it,but they haven't let him play enough to showcase his skills. perhaps he isn't cutting it in camp. Metchie has that twitch also. JJ is a master at it

I would not go that far guy like AJ breaking a tackle gaining extra yards is him creating YAC…. Guy like Tyreke outrunning guys is him creating YAC with his speed….

Do agree that it isn’t the most important factor though can’t create YAC if you don’t get open and CATCH the ball first.

Yeah give the QB a window to throw to,that should be the first consideration. A guy like Edelman, that 3rd and 4 guy

Metchie could easily be the buy low option and finally cleared from Leukemia… shame but he definitely fallen behind other guys now in Houston could need that fresh start

Everyone wants that. But Ham thinks there are "specialists". I don't. If you can break tackles great,if you have outstanding speed, great. We all want that like the other 31 teams. But the slot guys first responsibility is getting the first down, move the chains. Let your "star" players get the YAC

I doubt they would ask much,or maybe they even cut him. he is pretty far down the depth chart in Houston. Like WR 6 although we don't need to add "just another body"

lol Ham just funny he thinks guys WR are replacing Geodart as YAC no they aren’t they might be able to gain YAC but they aren’t replacing Geodart as a TE. How you have to defend Geodart is completely different then how you have to defend a WR

Why slot guys are paid less. Of course you have a guy like JJ that can light it up from anywhere, but you are going to pay for that and the slot gets like what 3-4 targets a game

All I want at slot is a guy that can give Hurts a window in the MIDDLE OF THE FIELD which we haven't had Hurts throwing there. Teams know it and defend the outsides.. Hurts needs that middle of the field threat.Move the chains first, worry about YAC later, those will come. Edelman/ Amendola bailed out the GOAT Brady
