Like to see some kind of deal by Howie,Pickett for an experienced slot and a pick. IDK who that could be at this point. Pickett not impressing anyone enough to want to trade for him. My trade for a box of donuts is looking good. Dean seems like he is turning up the heat. We need those previous draft picks to step up

May not even be a trade piece. He seems disinterested in football, like it's just a job he puts up with. Just the vibe i am getting(which means nothing at all)

Mekhi leg injury concering. Toth expected to start at RG Sat.

Been saying he has the talent even last year=called it 🤣🙄🤨

Really looked like he’s had what it takes all along to be developed. Not talking Pro Bowl ceiling potential…but good backup level. Which is all we have been needing.

I will also when he plays

I take in and absorb the whole team really. Team sport and it takes a whole roster…and maybe then some. No doubt QB1 is so massively important. But need so much more than just him to get where we want to go.

I liked the pick also where he was drafted. Believed he could fill a couple niche areas. Returner and YAC creation plays. Not sure I’ve ever seen him as being a full on Slot WR with all those duties. Kind of felt like the idea was a committee approach he would contribute too. I’m just not really seeing it now nearly as much. Just a bunch of work and development needed for what end gains with him?

I’m saying my read is he knows the situation well. He has zero shot of becoming the starter. All he’s needed to do was make sure not to compound a ton of mistakes and lose his job. Basically his situation was laid out that if he just held the ball and took sacks instead of getting aggressive he’s QB2. If he went for it and threw several bad interceptions and fumbled was the only way he would be demoted. Situation and incentive created this situation a bit with him. Next season he’ll be in a contract year. Be different.

I mean who do we turn to week one if we are forced to go with the third string RG? I thought it should have been Keegan. But they just never got him any reps on the right side. Nick Gates maybe.

Some of you are very highly in favor of just putting the best guys out there for the team needs. So would those fans be in favor of moving Dickerson to RG to let Keegan step up at LG? Just in the name of putting the best five on the field?

I always viewed him since entering the draft as a guy that needed to be developed into a backup QB. So just not all that good to begin with.

LOL he was the #1 slot WR in the draft(I llked Malik Washington also). He wasn't drafted to be another Covey. He is not transitioning which we find with many rooks,so you either dump them or make the decision to put more work into them if you have the space.

I don't want guys like that, that only play in contract years, or have their agent tell them at what level they can play, dump this POS . Bad pick, waste of a roster spot for a guy who actually wants to play

Personally I don't need to start the musical chairs O line again. Football players used to be tough, play with a broken nose,or bleeding lip. Now they are like soccer dads.Sad. Bubble ball by 2029

John Metchie III is another gettable receiver currently buried on Houston’s depth chart. He’s yet to fully pop in his NFL career, but he’s a 24-year-old former second-round pick who’s bursting with potential.

I mean...you can run full speed with a bleeding lip.... if you have a leg injury that is slowing you down or preventing you from having leverage....idk if I want you blocking for Hurts and Barkley.

But with Ham's overanalysis per usual.   Mailata is the LT... Dickerson is the LG... Jurgens is the C...Lane is the RT

Those guys don't move.  Seamulo apparently never played LG before he started in 2017.... he did fine.   The next guy...whoever it is...is going to play RG now.

The decision is who plays that the best or fits in to make it the best unit ...they aren't moving any of the other 4 guys. We can stop that wasted thought...and put that right behind drafting LB round 1.

Right,I don't want the musical chair O line. Fix the bad spot and leave the others go. We can't risk Hurts getting hit on the blind side

My gut is telling me the kid from Michigan is going to be the eventual starter at RG.   I think they are forcing the big dude as the starter at the moment.  Could be this injury to the Jets guy is a blessing in disguise.

People fall in love with size...  why else would anyone want this big guy from the Jets to play RG?   " Stout can work miracles with this kid"   etc.

The Michigan kid just looks like a winner.  A football player.   The guy you would trust more to make a play when needed

Season hasn’t begun yet. So it wouldn’t really be musical chairs for this year. Could be seating out starting Oline as Mailata, Keegan, Jurgens, Dickerson and Lane. Getting the best five guys out there.

Like I said I’ve had my eyes attached to that Texans roster. They have a real strong 90 guys over there
