So if we did a tush push from 2 or 3 yards it’s not likely included

He's already behind. Any playing time is a plus. Maybe he returns kicks. He was locked in his room for weeks just studying because he was hurt. So let him feel like he is part of the team. let him dress and get a few plays in maybe. No one is expecting him to be a star yet

I appreciate the fact he is an awesome RUNNER. Now play QB(which you fail to appreciate or respect)rather than be a RB who can throw

But Moore i believe is more capable a coach that can teach and ughh coach. So should help. Just quoting what Hurt said in his own words

Very good at attacking the seam and giving the QB a window to throw into(a great quality for a slot). Tracks the ball well and makes some tough catches. Although he will be on the PS,there is upside I see,to ascend in time to at least a BU role

He was locked in his room for weeks just studying because he was hurt. So let him feel like he is part of the team. let him dress and get a few plays in maybe. No one is expecting him to be a star yet Well this was one of the concerns with this prospect …was durability. I don’t know anything about his ability returning KOs. Rodgers has been really supposedly looking like a stud doing them. Not that we’ve been able to see any of that stuff. One area I thought of DeJean as absolutely elite was on P returns. Totally think he’s a weapon to take one to the house. But it’s a difficult or interesting situation there. Covey is a top P returner. More through consistency. He also is reliable on his decision making. But hasn’t shown that ‘give him a crease and he’s gone ability.’ He just very solid vision and quality returns. But it seems like Covey has been pushing and earning time as a WR. Helps that our QB has been pushing for him to be utilized more for over a season now there. Problem has always been Covey is just too small and fragile. Risking him without a good backup return option was much more difficult. Now with multiple other quality options(DeJean…but others too) our coaches can risk Covey more. This season it’s time to go for it more with Covey. We’ve needed the WR options pretty bad. I know most just see AJ and Smitty…boast how great our WR room is. Those two are fantastic. But what they open up for any other WRs could and should be huge. Dotson had a field day praying on our Sidney Brown, Blankenship and Rick’s in that…way to tonight game last season that was 31-38 I believe. Now I want to see Dotson and …yes Covey….producing. Such an overlooked element. Not many teams have enough coverage players to shut these guys down also. Totally been missing out on the full scale situation that having AJ and Smitty brings. It’s short sighted to just look only at their individual stat production. They command attention. They clear out massive areas of space behind, around and underneath them. Opposing S have to by default lean towards both top WR options. Creates huge seams in between. They both have speed…creating large voids behind them. We’ve been leaving so much of this untapped left on the table every week. You don’t have to look at Dotson and Covey and think about how they stack up compared to a Jefferson type WR. They’re being put in a position of facing bad DBs. S at best. But many times it will be injury replacement inexperienced players that don’t belong. In short what’s the damage that can be done against our opponents worst coverage player….in large empty space created areas? Any player that belongs in the NFL at all should look darn near elite as our third WR in these situations. Not because they are the best WR….but because of the super easy situation. {The other game with Wash went to OTThose that believed our record of 10-1 actually meant we were the best team in the league can’t possibly explain how two of those wins were in OT and one score come from behind win over such a lowly team in the Commanders…a third being a too close game pulled out over a terrible Pats team. I’m all for just get the W and move forward. Not against that at all. It’s just when any fan tries to use the 10-1 record as the reasoning our 2023 squad was the best that this actual context needs to actually be applied. Coming from behind to beat the Commies 38-31 was a W…but more like a reason to not believe the hype. Good teams need to know how to win. So it’s a positive there. But as far as winning over bad teams by battling terrible Pats team, coming from behind in a one TD victory over a terrible Washington team and actually needing OT to beat that Washington team the other time? That’s 3 of the 10 wins. It’s great that winning instinct was there. But the worst teams in the league showing they could go toe to toe with us was more proof of how far our team was from being a contender. Our team carrying over their winning ways was all positive past season. But it wasn’t proof of them being elite and the best.
