My 1st question to myself for this was why would Howie let Reddick walk, but pay someone else more? It made me wonder if Reddick was a team problem and caused so much unity stress that his talent wasn't worth it. Why else would this happen? Huff is not better and had a lower snap count throughout his career.

Bingo!   Just obviously seems more to it...especially when we take off the small lense of just the Eagles perspective... and look at why the entire NFL doesn't

Its a rolling cap though….so really we are discussing future cap….where Rosie always put it.

Right.  .so they Cao space saved this year would be rolled into the future to provide more cap space.

And correct... it's a player decision... because they chose Huff instead of Reddick.    They didn't save money doing it did they?

Think about it... instead of saving cap on Reddick... they broke even this year ...but then added Huff to the cap.

So the player decision was Huff...they thought adding Huff was better than redoing Reddick.  Cap wise, that's 2 things that worked negative.

See you look at a one time price... I'm looking at money and cap space starting from the beginning.

It's Ike choosing when to take your SS money... sure the longer you wait the higher the monthly amount, but if you start off taking money early then it takes years before you break even.

Instead of saving cap and redoing Reddick...they added cap by getting Huff.  When would have Reddick have caught up to Huff?  3 years?  Maybe 4?

So they chose Huff .. player decision.

But with Reddick....the entire league doesn't want to pay him.

It's why when you say..." No Mas the player made more money by waiting"

No they didn't...the earlier they get paid, the earlier they redo their next deal... you never catch up being a year behind, regardless of how much the contracts go up.

The team costs more waiting...vs the cap.  But the player doesn't ultimately make more cash.

I am disappointed in Goedert to this point. he should be tearing up defenses, especially last game with AJ out. He did little. Like 38 yards. Don't tell me we will misuse him again this year

Hard to tear up the defense when you don't get the ball. If you look at the all 22 you'll see him open and Hurts either not seeing him or ignoring him

If our D learns to tackle, pressure the QB and stop the run…things will start picking up

Ceedy Duce has the second most missed tackles of any S

Baun has the third most missed tackles of any LB

Sad. I'm questioning Hurts learning ability. Same old lack of field vision. If it's not the RPO(which really hurts downfield blocking by the O line) he seems totally aloof and nowhere near 53 million a year. This is a make it or break it year for Hurts IMO and so far it's broken. Goedert is a great weapon and a top TE(when he gets the balls as you said). It's so bad, I benched him in fantasy. Just a sad display of wasted talent and Hurts has OPTIONS almost every play. He is still at the college level as a QB. No growth whatsoever I can see(if I could see it I would say so)

USC/Michgan great game. Like the Michigan RB Mullings. Runs hard

Actually Mullings is listed as a rare FB and plays back there. Looks like the game winning run by him. He is a dozer

Although I love a good running game,my expectations for this year were lots of fireworks. But we don't have the QB to do it 😞

AJ out again. If bonehead plays like last week we will lose this game and the D will get schooled by Carr. I still have Hurts in for one more week in fantasy, then he will be benched

If this becomes a shootout it's like a machine gun vs a cap pistol

HELLO captain obvious

Grandson had a catch last night

Of course it was called back by our favorite penalty, illegal lineman down field

22 points.  If they can give up 22 points each game we should be in great shape.

Hope we keep it competitive today but the way the saints have looked last two weeks iM not confident going into the game

Hope we can finally get some other guys going in the passing game today. Get Geodart the ball some, like to see Dotson etc.

See if our guys can start putting things together here. Let’s go Eagles!

Wow NFL worse 7 yards per play by our D
