" when I say physical, it doesn't mean you run it every time, you can be physical running the football and passing the football"

The definition of a non answer.   Why isn't it obvious? 🤷

How much have I been pointing out how we should be wearing out our opponents. Being physical!

But I do think it begins with letting our guys attack our opponent. So running the ball early I think is a key to the overall physical approach.

Keep saying how if their DB is forced to run support and gets a bruised thigh just how agile and tight will his pass coverage be after? An edge player or LB getting mauled by our massive Oline…that has to bring some hesitation to his pass rush.

Because it’s exactly what I believe we’ve been built for. AJ is as physical a WR as it gets. Maybe a message to a player like Slay that you can’t just make business career decisions when it comes to tackling.

Right,,,, it's YOUR AGENDA!!!!!      The answer was a non answer... end of story. Very obvious.

Any game where Barkley has more carries than Hurts has passing attempts... is obviously a good thing.

Maybe it wasn’t actually me that needed to listen or read Siri’s complete statement about physical. AJ is next level as a physical WR. Hurts is as physical as a QB gets. Siri goes on later to make clear that physical isn’t just running the ball but applies to the passing game as well. Sites the pass to Smitty up the middle, that you proclaim Hurts can’t make, to rewatch it focused on the crushing block made by Stoll.

Once AGAIN name me 1 team that doesn't want to be physical-ONE(still waiting on this answer after 5 hours)

Yes... so as a theme... not new to football... a coach wants his team to be perceived as physical.... as GB said, which teams don't want to be perceived that way?   Which coach wans his players to be soft?

He won't answer LOL

Moore put Smitty running up the middle. He caught a big time TD from Hurts. Each time all this happens it’s clear proof what I’ve been stating is actually correct while what many here try and Hurts hate with about low stats throwing in the middle are just from Siri and Rosie’s flaws instead of Hurts.

They put him up the middle because Hurts is now a game manager and not a QB and it works great. After league leading picks,WHO would want their QB to throw unless it was necessary?

Ham and a lot of the media want the coach to say ... we are either a running team or a passing team.  They want a definitive answer.    Siri doesn't want to pigeon hole the team as one or the other.   The general " physical" answer... like you said, no kidding.    how many teams are finesse blocking and finesse tackling teams?   Come on.   " Only took 7 weeks...blah blah blah"    It was a non answer.  " But I wanted all along... 12 posts later etc"

OMG... rocket science we all want to run the ball more... to get the ball in Barkley's hands more... OMG we are so smart...lol.   " But I wanted...lol " I Called for... lol

Is it rocket science... that when you have a running QB... your team benefits from running the ball as much as possible with less passing?    Vick with ATL ... Lamar with Baltimore ... no kidding... you don't win with these guys passing 35-40 times.  That's more times needing to read a defense and make the right decision.   The more we can put Hurts in a run or pass situation where the defense thinks its a run and Hurts only has to make one read either keeping the ball to run or throw one of two passes... that's what we need.

Oh wait... the new theory here.... more run blocking helps the OL... I think Ham's boy Andy Reid came up with that one.

Her is one for you... I think if it rained more in the desert... you would be able to grow more vegetation there.  Pure genius.

When you watch the Smith's TD... you think to yourself... great throw or great catch?  I see absolutely phenomenal protection...a decent throw that an NFL QB should make... and a great catch at the end of the play.   When the WR has to jump for the ball while being covered... I don;t really call that a great throw... the WR has to make the more difficult play.

The throw I like this year, was the TD pass to AJ last week on 4th down.  Pressure was on, launched it up ... and AJ makes an easy catch.   That's the QB making the play right there... blocking wasn't smothering, he had to rush... and the WR didn't make a great catch... the play was made because of the QB.   The Smith TD, the QB benefitted from the other 10 guys and just gave the WR a shot to make the play.  Two totally different scenarios.   Most QBs should make that play to Smith... the one to AJ you don't see as successful.

BTW... I've been ready to move on from Slay all season.  Get these young guys in there.

Addition by subtraction.  That part I will agree with Ham... without Slay and Maddox... the team absolutely is less soft... more physical.   I'm not a fan of either.  I think Brown brings a good aggressive style as the #3 S too.

Amazing how a coach can look better without Slay, Bradberry and Maddox missing tackles.

Absolutely. Coaches have given up on trying to get Hurts to be a QB.He has been a game manager over the last 2. No turnovers. Barkley and AJ are the showpieces as well as the tush push O line. All Hurts needs to do is get the ball in their hands and Hopefully we get Goedert back soon. It's the "no risk" offense which really runs counter to what Moore likes to do. But Siri's call. Siri's job is to win games. It appears he shut down Moores attempt at a "west coast" offense and/or Moore sees Hurts doesn't have the talent to pull it off. Just a guess on my part. Week 1 we saw the Moore type offense, then it just kept getting less and less until now we are back to playing Hurts ball. We are called haters because we wanted to see Hurts take that step to becoming and NFL passer and that has been abandoned fpr whatever reason(s). But I'm not rambling on for pages. That's just what I see in the game to game differences. The D appears to be gelling some and if that is the case, then having Hurts as a game manager works. Hurts will never be an elite passer. I was just hoping and pressing for improvement in that area and was called "inept", a hater" "not a real fan" "don't know what you're talking about" and other phrases.I said before that "this is the best Hurts we will ever see" I said that a few weeks back. I'm not typing this for acclaim, nor glory nor "called it" status, but as an inept, non fan, hater who doesn't know what he's talking about,it seems fairly obvious the progress stopped. So this indeed is the best Hurts we will see. I'm glad we signed Bark for 3 years if this is the best we see from Hurts in the passing game. it's fine. Just manage the game, run the ball although I will still bish when a guy is wide open and goes unnoticed. I suppose I will just have to sulk in the corner and buy more foam "bricks" LOL

Any team can want plenty of things. Actually being dominant physically is a whole other matter

But each team earns an identity. Our identity is physical. We will put pressure on any team that doesn’t have a lead on us. Because they all know we will and can grind down the clock to end the game.

I don’t disagree it’s a team game. It does take everybody to make the plays. But you just endlessly can’t give Hurts credit for a single thing. That ball was right over Smitty’s shoulder. In fact Hurts just scored consistently throws such a catchable ball. I mean show me the clips of any pass catcher having to give to make the spectacular catch from Hurts.

Smitty is a crafty route runner. But the defender was right in his hip. Ball had to be thrown perfect.

See that was getting close to actually becoming our identity instead. Being physical is a good football identity. But you have to earn it. Were looking like a no quality pass rush bad tackling team.

I mean you kind of hit on something accurate in this. Started out Moore’s O and then backed up some each week. Tampa just can’t even say…so scratch that effort. But it was clear Siri took over to save his job after the bye against Cleveland. Then Saquan had his day in the return game. But this game was totally back to Moore installing his O. Look at the results. Game manager my butt! Elite runs and passes to win the day!

The exact opposite of giving up coaching Hurts. It started to show when Moore was given a chance again. Siri had to acknowledge it even. I believe Rosie had to bring Siri in and force this situation to be allowed to happen.

I mean I’ve been saying it before it actually occurs….and then it pretty much goes down exactly like I’m saying it needs to. So not sure where anybody here would have an ounce of confusion.

There hasn’t even been an everybody to give up coaching Hurts anyway. One guy….short cutting …short term goals….playing checkers instead of chess Siri. That’s it.

The reaching to Hurts Hate is just pathetic at this point.

Yes you want Hurts to fix the fact he’s been stuck with a bad HC that doesn’t have a scheme or a very strong knowledge of the X and O of football.

So you’re upset at the fact every QB under Siri has looked pretty bad. Several guys have been here now. Three guys that were starters even. None looked their best under Siri. Better before and after. So explain that.
