October 30, 20241 yr Anybody… do a ton of research and try a dig up all the successful Os and QBs under bad HC, in no scheme with stale predictable limited playcalling. Were any of them the odds favorite for MVP during any portion of those seasons? Leading the second ranked O?
October 30, 20241 yr I do clearly recognize the difficulties turnovers present. It’s not like those don’t affect the games. It’s just that what my understanding is more about is not wanting to short cut…again under Siri. I don’t want to focus on not throwing interceptions so much to beat the Browns as to not address the bigger pictures here. I’d rather progress learn and grow and accelerate the bigger season path and goal for this team…than stall bigger picture improvement. I’m more in the thinking of go for it. Make mistakes but also make major gains. Get this O advanced as far as possible as quickly as possible. One single season …how far can you install, develop, adapt and make our own this completely different scheme?
October 30, 20241 yr It takes years to master any O. QBs have shown how the closer to forty they become how much more advanced their understanding of the position is increased. Just unrealistic to have expectations of both to be accomplished by the smartest most talented QB ever played the game even …instantly.
October 30, 20241 yr But our problem that is ahead of us is that we will need as many tools and mastery as possible to overcome the almost guaranteed future of this season. So the more we hold back advancing to make sure we play not to lose…the less we’ll be capable to reach as a season ceiling.
October 30, 20241 yr Let’s all examine this theory on The Brotherly Shove being all Oline and nothing to do with Hurts. Not sure if anybody here actually watched the game. So go check out the highlights. Let’s all examine the Brotherly Shove TD against the Bengals. Just can’t possibly watch that play and say it was all Oline. There wasn’t even an Eagles player there fighting but Hurts. Like five Bengals against Hurts by himself. Should have been stopped. Was called a stop with Bengals all pointing towards shutting it down. Jalen Hurts actually single handed went against at least five Bengal defenders and forced the TD by a smidge.
October 30, 20241 yr Explain how a play that you’re convinced is just all Oline created can be a TD without a single Oline player reaching the endzone even.
October 30, 20241 yr See what somehow goes overlooked is the brutal abuse that situation creates on all our guys…but very significantly to our QB. Look at that situation and just think about how very much you wouldn’t want to be that guy carrying the ball. Strongest people all on you in every direction at all different levels of your body. You want a QB to protect himself. They tried focusing on preaching to Hurts to get down or out of bounds to avoid getting hurt and taking the hits all last offseason. Yet on the run was the lesser evil of situations for him. In the pocket is much more dangerous for him. Just think about how you can have your main focal point being to get your QB to realize he is needed so badly that he needs to avoid injury risks at most all costs. But then you put him in so many of these Brotherly Shove situations that no QB possibly could withstand.

I was clearly identifying that there was some major issues that I got bashed for recognizing while we had only lost one game. I really don’t think most here did still even do realize the smoke and mirrors at play. If they did they wouldn’t still be sticking by these bad theories they’ve formulated and keep regurgitating. If they understood the issues of a 10-1 team just no way they still could be thinking what they state. Yet they still are spewing this stuff even after a total collapse. You know i'm always extremely generous Unless we lose that is
October 30, 20241 yr I wax so desperate for that third WR that could play more than just in the slot. That lead to me wanting the trade for Dotson and approving of that deal. Got to admit I was totally wrong on that one. This season has been one which had ample WR trade deadline options to be had. Amari Cooper would have been such a better trade. Just all kinds of options this season at the position to be had. We gave up a premium third rounder for a bust. Just brutal how we just can’t do anything to find a capable third WR for years. But got to call myself out here on that I wanted Dotson and suggested trading for him before Rosie actually made the deal. Looking pretty clear I gotta take the L on that opinion of mine. I’ll own it.

The Commanders dumped talented players and you stated they weren’t anything to be concerned with this season. Yet….whats their record again? What did I state?

October 30, 20241 yr 2 minutes ago, joemas6 said: What did I state? Plus it’s understandable because you don’t watch college ball how I don’t think you realized how dynamic and talented this kid is. I do see a major flaw and downside with him. He’s very RGKnee-ish. I don’t think he’ll have longevity in the league.

You are shattering human records with so endlessly being proven incorrect yet the ability to remain so smug. Ham, I still don't think you get it ... nobody cares!

Can I ask... why do you always make it you vs the world. Its a forum for discussion about the Eagles... why do you always have to make things about yourself? Nobody points out the obvious all the time... it's assumed people can figure that out. " I was the one saying...." lol Come on now. Really. " See what you don;t realize No Mas... is that running the ball helps the QB...etc." you think? Did you call the radio station back 20 years ago showing how at no point in time did any team ever win a Superbowl passing the ball 60% of the time... and discussed how instead of running the ball with Duce, Buck and Westbrook...we passed the ball 62% of the time with Johnson, Pinky and Freddie Mitchell? But you couldn't point out the coaching flaw then... because Andy was your boy right? Are you really that self absorbed to miss out on the fact that the Eagles fanbase already has a built in hard on to run the ball as much as possible after 14 years of " Gotta do a bedder job dere" , that you think you are unique to this mindset? This QB especially ... regardless of the fact that he has by far the best weapons and an OL pretty much just as good as ever.... he needs the run game more so.... because he just isn't as good of a QB when it comes to the passing game. When they start games passing so much... they struggle. When they needed him to pass the ball at the end of the Seattle and Atlanta games... when there was still plenty of time to move the ball, but it had to be passes... he turned the ball over. Playing with a lead... playing when the running game is firing on all cylinders ... he thrives in that situation. You may live in a dream world where you think wew can physically just dominate the best teams at the end and can get away with less from the QB... then fine. We shall see. But to go overboard in thinking the QB is doing anything elite.... or carrying the offense... when the rest of the guys around him are the dominnt ones... just wrong. Give him credit... not doing anything wrong... doing his job. But it's not hating when you say he isn't the one carrying the team or playing elite. He doesn't have to suck or be elite... there is plenty of room in the middle... which is where he is.
