I’m very much excited to see what he can do with a HC like Slowak in Houston or the OC in Detroit. Heck look at how much a difference a pretty standard experienced pro OC in Steichen made when he took over much more instead of Siri. That sadly was impressively what he could accomplish being weighed down in Siri’s O nonscheme. This season I was excited and knew everything depended on how far along Moore could get his O by seasons end. It’s just that glaring of a difference that an OC I’m not even that high on…represents a big upgrade and opportunities. Not too mention the benefits being gained by our players receiving quality coaching.

Who’s been championing Siri other than No Mas? There was rumored and leaked complaints and frustration from players with Siri’s O last season…even while not losing. That’s pretty damning….10-1 with the second ranked O at that point…with everybody not named FL and No Mas very much including our players realizing that was happening despite the burden of Siri having to be overcome by great players and especially players that knew how to win.

A trophy wife that is super high maintenance with no personality that’s in control of everything and doesn’t do much of any of the wife duties(cheating on you while embarrassing you in public)…that’s best as a wife the less she’s around. I stated exactly that especially with our quality character roster that nobody is really straight calling for Siri’s head. It’s tough when being around somebody and their kids so much to actually actively pursue their unemployment. It’s not like he’s actually going to land on his feet once he’s fired from here. Nobody is hiring him as a HC. Only chance he even has to land an OC job is under an experienced HC that completely runs the O. He’s pretty much a WR NFL coach. Or some made up show named position on O where his hard work can be put to use. Especially an older staff.

Why would I pay a guy 53 million a year for 5 years to have to teach him how to be an NFL QB? You are supposed to be paying the coach to teach players how he wants his scheme run. That’s pretty much every football situation at every level. The young athlete out of college shouldn’t be our most knowledgable football X and O source about how Siri’s scheme works. This is quite frankly just ludicrous statement. I can only possibly guess that your Hurts Hatred has really driven you to make such a completely dumb statement about the game of football. That is exactly the top job description of this paid career referred to as ‘coach.’

At least we were able to rode Steichens wave that far after he left….because our players just played that well to overcome the situation. You just Hurts Hate blame that he didn’t have the answers to counter the blueprint everybody saw to defend our O. I guess that is exactly explained by your expectation for the players to teach and supply the coach with the football knowledge for him to start building himself a scheme.
November 3, 20241 yr 3 hours ago, GreenbleedinNC said: How can you not understand what has been occurring? Hurts cannot handle being an NFL QB. He is a RB who can throw and is now relegated to being a game manager. Joe listed his weaknesses,go review those, then maybe you will understand what has been occurring. We are "stuck" with Hurts for a number of years now. This is the best Hurts you will see. The progress stopped last year and I am not the only one who saw it or said so I do have my hopes placed on seeing the best Hurts we’ve witnessed to date the more Moore is allowed to do. You might want to look up the definition of insanity. You are so upset that Hurts keeps showing the signs of not receiving would he described as a competent HC. How would a player ever progress without a coach teaching him and imparting his job description knowledge? Every athlete has a coach…not just football. Main job I’ve always understood of coaching is teaching. No idea what you were thinking those older supposedly very knowledgable guys hired as coaches did? You know they aren’t usually around to just engage with the fans during the games, right?
November 3, 20241 yr 4 hours ago, GreenbleedinNC said: The coaches are moving players around because HURTS will only look for the 2 reads. If they move a star into the slot it is teaching Hurts how to use field vision and make more than 1 read. Ever think about that? Maybe they are teaching him and you can't see it. If they put DSmith in the slot and AJ at TE Hurts would need to locate those 2???? He rarely looks to anyone else and why "no one has success in the slot" Yeah I totally thought about why we can’t get any production from the easiest position on the O the field. Just so many guys come through in TCs and during season …I mean it’s really pathetic that blind sure luck hasn’t at least found anything even really competent. But name and provide statistical success from any of the WR..must be at least forty WRs that haven’t worked during that time. I sure couldn’t tell you a single one. Yet when you move and have AJ or Smitty across the middle it’s successful. Not sure if your schools ever taught science? It basically has been a thoroughly large sample sized experiment proving exactly that the problem clearly isn’t we can’t or won’t throw successfully over the middle with Hurts…it proves this has been an absolutely failure by the GM.
November 3, 20241 yr Exactly why I had hope placed with Moore. Really does stink these guys have been stuck with Siri..not just one season…but he somehow was still brought back again this season. But Moore, not being anything that special as an NFL OC, is clearly having a massive positive effects for us. He’s already getting so many beneficial results that otherwise under Siri the whole time fans could not be proven differently about all these supposed flaws that those not already understanding the actual root cause of these situations. Hurts is better reading the D when he gets to the line and actually has time on the playclock to do more than just rush to get the snap off. The change from being the major outcast in the NFL coach utilizing motion not just the least..but by a large margin…has already provided easy completions…while also being a clear known aid for QBs to read a D.

But I believe the third season is pretty much all just an option bonus situation. Which is nice giving us the choice an option and control. But I mean…if you say it’s long term. Just no way such an elite FA could accept less than the two years he signed. They came to a nice number for that third year decision. We’ll have to be willing to pay that 10 plus mil to retain him. So either way year three Saquan should be happy with what happens. You keep saying that I keep saying It's short term and I am giving you facts to back up why the long term is in place you keep saying we don't have, and while I'm all for taking it 1 game at a time, there is indeed a long term plan you are missing

But you pay top dollar to a FA vet elite RB….you do that exactly to get every ounce of top juice from him the next two or three seasons. Any career he has beyond that? Not any priority for our franchise. We're paying Hurts top dollar, when do we see the juice from him?

You really just do consistently seem to have these bad takes about what we both are seeing and reading about being the same. We all understood Steichen and Johnson were under Siri’s scheme. That’s just known. But even then last season was so clearly our team just keeping the roll going of a team that knew how to win. But was a very lean version even of what Steichen was going with Siri’s O(usually I would have referred to the scheme…but there’s just overwhelming track record of evidence that calling it an actual scheme would be a lie). Problem was once the carry over of only a smaller portion of what Steichen had going the two seasons prior was sniffed out with a clear blueprint of how to defend it….then the season was done and in the tank. There wasn’t ever really any additions or growth.. or really just even variety that ever occurred during last season. Why not let Siri run the team and keep winning?

Hurts can't learn Moore's scheme, that's why we went back to the college offense because Hurts can't progress beyond it. We have him under center some at least and using motion more, now we need to derive more plays off that. I see growth, you don't. Siri is in charge of all that. Let them keep working together and finding new ways to use the things we are adding in. Hurts still seems lost at times(really too often). He needs to settle in and establish a rhythm and I would like to see more play action instead of the college RPO(this is what the linemen talked to Siri about doing) but ultimately it comes down to what Hurts can handle. Hurts needs to graduate from the RPO into the play action game and it's coming very slowly
