I do have my hopes placed on seeing the best Hurts we’ve witnessed to date the more Moore is allowed to do. You might want to look up the definition of insanity. You are so upset that Hurts keeps showing the signs of not receiving would he described as a competent HC. How would a player ever progress without a coach teaching him and imparting his job description knowledge? Every athlete has a coach…not just football. Main job I’ve always understood of coaching is teaching. No idea what you were thinking those older supposedly very knowledgable guys hired as coaches did? You know they aren’t usually around to just engage with the fans during the games, right?

Yes look up the definition of insanity and you will see your pic there. Just CLUELESS

Yeah I totally thought about why we can’t get any production from the easiest position on the O the field. Just so many guys come through in TCs and during season …I mean it’s really pathetic that blind sure luck hasn’t at least found anything even really competent. But name and provide statistical success from any of the WR..must be at least forty WRs that haven’t worked during that time. I sure couldn’t tell you a single one. Yet when you move and have AJ or Smitty across the middle it’s successful. Not sure if your schools ever taught science? It basically has been a thoroughly large sample sized experiment proving exactly that the problem clearly isn’t we can’t or won’t throw successfully over the middle with Hurts…it proves this has been an absolutely failure by the GM.

SO you want a huge investment for a guy who gets 1 target per game?(or maybe zero looks knowing Hurts)

Exactly why I had hope placed with Moore. Really does stink these guys have been stuck with Siri..not just one season…but he somehow was still brought back again this season. But Moore, not being anything that special as an NFL OC, is clearly having a massive positive effects for us. He’s already getting so many beneficial results that otherwise under Siri the whole time fans could not be proven differently about all these supposed flaws that those not already understanding the actual root cause of these situations. Hurts is better reading the D when he gets to the line and actually has time on the playclock to do more than just rush to get the snap off. The change from being the major outcast in the NFL coach utilizing motion not just the least..but by a large margin…has already provided easy completions…while also being a clear known aid for QBs to read a D.

The root cause is Hurts is a middle of the pack passer who can't make the 4-5 reads needed by an NFL QB. He is indecisive and panics easily causing bonehead plays. Instead of panic passes(see picks) he should take off like the RB he is. That is a strength he has,yet he will panic throw into coverage instead of running or throwing it away. He should know this by year 5 and ALL of college he played. Sometimes he plays like a green rook.

I don't hate Hurts, but he is nowhere near the superman you pray to every night. He has some fairly glaring faults and he's not really fixing those. When a play is broken he needs to take off like the MVP year he had,but he doesn't do it much now. You can't panic and run backwards. it's better if you toss it away. Just simple things every QB should already know. He is a top rate athlete, but his mental game lacks. He needs to stop trying to do too much and settle down an play the talent he has around him. It's OK if you throw a ball away. He seems to think it makes him look bad. What makes him look bad is running backwards and taking the sack anyway or panic throwing thinking he MUST make a play. He needs to just let the game come to him and stop forcing things when something isn't playbook perfect. He needs to watch film ALOT of it on Bowles defense. If he can figure that out,he will be much better off since that is the D that stymies him most

Hurts needs a guy he can trust in the slot. IMO that is Wilson at this point. Wilson is a TE who has WR moves and is a big target Hurts can(or should) see. We need a slot guy who demands attention from a defense and Hurts needs to burn them with that guy

I don’t think our lack of a 3rd WR is anymore than lack of consistency. Hurts favors the guys he trusts and knows he going to throw those 50/50 balls and tight windows to Smith/AJ hell even Geodart as we seen when our WRs were out. You can even look at Quez Hurts would at least target him he wouldn’t catch the ball but that’s a different story

So not sure if Dotson will work out or one of the other young WRs we drafted but if we don’t give them some time to build that chemistry and trust we will keep looking the same from the 3rd WR spot

You keep saying that I keep saying It's short term and I am giving you facts to back up why the long term is in place you keep saying we don't have, and while I'm all for taking it 1 game at a time, there is indeed a long term plan you are missing

So you witnessed a plan last season building on our O that even Siri had to admit was stale and predictable failing to adapt with answers? You saw in any way the growth and improvement with our team as the year went on?

5 hours ago, GreenbleedinNC said:

No that is you, thinking Hurts is "the best QB in team history" You are mistaken,he is middle of the pack until he can learn how to play NFL ball and not college while being surrounded by supreme talent

Yep…exactly why we need to get a new coach in. But right now we are getting glimpses of some growth when Moore and coach Doug are given the opportunity…which sadly Siri has limited. But the most Moore O we’ve deployed to date and the results were predictably fantastic! We keep just going with that even you just might be surprised. But pay attention here….because everything you dog Hurts out over he can be taught…if a coach takes the time not short cutting one game mentality, Frankly I’m fairly pissed at what I see as this coach kept way too long that made those type decisions with what I believe is our best QB in franchise history. Damage is done…again…and again.

We're paying Hurts top dollar, when do we see the juice from him?

He’s already shown to be worth that. Now let’s demand a top coach ..there isn’t a cap on coaches. Struggling to understand why we’d want anything less than the best O mind we can get.

Bad coaching 🤣

Clearly, Johnson got scapegoated for Siri’s dominating control of the O. Bad move not keeping him as QB coach. Feels like they only kept Siri again this year to bridge the gap for a quality HC this offseason as the plan. Just wasn’t much to look at this past offseason. So I understand not hiring a bad choice to deal with all that just to fire in a season after changing so much for him. Bellicheat is an interesting candidate…,but I wouldn’t go with him.

Why not let Siri run the team and keep winning?

What are you watching? He was terrible to start at 2-5…had to get Steichen and Hurts to bail him out. Exact same team…under Steichen that dug out of the near insurmountable hole Siri dug…while being held down by forced to use his O. Then last season the ride the wave of using what Steichen came up with…but less. When it came time to add any quality or adapt? Zilch! Collapse city under Siri. Our guys actually just played that incredible to overcome Siri…to just win..squeakers all..even against bad teams. Then again we get small glimpses of Moore’s influence and it’s just confirming you guys didn’t know what you’re talking about with so much you Hurts Hate. You just could get away with blaming Hurts just because he was always stuck under Siri. But most every sign as proven that just mediocre OCs in Steichen and Moore are major upgrades.

Hurts can't learn Moore's scheme, that's why we went back to the college offense because Hurts can't progress beyond it. We have him under center some at least and using motion more, now we need to derive more plays off that. I see growth, you don't. Siri is in charge of all that. Let them keep working together and finding new ways to use the things we are adding in. Hurts still seems lost at times(really too often). He needs to settle in and establish a rhythm and I would like to see more play action instead of the college RPO(this is what the linemen talked to Siri about doing) but ultimately it comes down to what Hurts can handle. Hurts needs to graduate from the RPO into the play action game and it's coming very slowly

So you favor Moore use of playaction. What are you using to judge that Hurts  can’t thrive under actual coaching that’s teaching him in an actual scheme? Siri was failing back in the way of Moore. Then Moore gets his biggest opportunity against Cincy. Looked to me like the results just confirmed how having a real pro O coach just obviously is benefiting everybody. I’m excited mostly based on what Moore could do this season. But he’s gotta be allowed to go to work and get this O to its highest level possible just in this one season. Not a three year plan. If Siri gets out of the way we might see all the signs of progression and improvement during this season. Wouldn’t that be refreshing. Everything you complained about with Hurts seems to already be showing the signs of progressing and developing…a real coach around not holding him back you might just be surprised at what he could do. You just don’t make much sense. You don’t like the progress and development of Hurts in coachable areas that easily improve with an actual scheme and deeper plans than one step at a time. You are all but damning Siri’s performance…but just solely pointing at Hurts for why he …and every other QB under Siri don’t thrive near their potential. Frankly just aren’t coached. Siri just takes what you got and that’s all he’ll run.
You gotta have some ounce of self awareness enough to realize you are looking for Hurts to progress by being coached and utilizing good scheme and playcalling. You trash our leader because he’s showing signs of what is proven to be so many areas of weakness for Siri. Yet some how really want to keep Siri…because every time he’s got larger fingerprints on things is when it’s looked the worst. Steichen and Moore proving better. Those aren’t elite O minds. Just pretty average standard pro coaching. Just decent has been absolutely dominating with the same players over Siri.

You love the try and win now while discarding the tools needed to reach the higher levels of actually getting somewhere. Siri I just laid out isn’t the reason for winning. The worst during his tenure are the moments he’s been dominantly in control. Same guys show clear signs of winning much more with Siri stepping back and letting just mid grade OCs take over, Siri was 2-5. Steichen took over and the team made the playoffs. Then the SB. Back to Siri last season and everything just went downhill. The  carry over from Steichen with players knowing how to win…only lasted and went so far. As soon as we needed anything more to add or adapt being left up to Siri? Nothing.

This really doesn’t mean anything lol means he is a bad play caller sure but also highlights him knowing it and willing to give up the control not many coaches would do this honestly rate most would go down with the ship

Also can’t read much into us beating up on bad teams lol clearly we are more talented then any team we have faced in the last 3 games…

I like that we seem to be getting it together but want to see us actually play a good opponent first before I get to excited….Washington in two weeks will be the first real test since the bye week then Baltimore… Two really good bars for us to see where we stand as a playoff team

I'm talking about THIS year, who gives an ish about last year? Why do you think we brought new coordinators in?(yeah rocket science) The O is nearly the same as last year(sans Kelce). We added a HUGE STUD RB,what else changed??? That guy you hate Howie added a BIG piece to our offense. Now we can play the KISS Hurts offense

He has to limit the O due to the lack of mentality from the QB. It's the "KISS" offense

What is is record since he has been the coach here? I mean overall since day 1? Are we back to this BS AGAIN? He has NEVER had a sub .500 season

SO we have basically the same offense with a little motion, added a STUD RB,so Hurts can have an even EASIER time than last year. Hand the ball off to the stud RB,pass when you need to,don't make bonehead mistakes. Use the tush push at the GL(KISS). IDK how much easier we can make it for Hurts. We tried to get Hurts to play QB,but he failed by tossing picks every game,so we are back to the Hurts KISS offense and we look better now that he is a game manager

I see they took our game out of prime time and moved it to 4

Cincy had a terrible D and didn’t have Higgins wasn’t all that great of a test for this team… I want a team playing like a playoff opponent and right now that’s Washington not to mention Dan Quinn has coached the Dallas D ever since Siri took over so he knows what to expect from our team offensively

Jags have not been a good team but does seem like they will have all their players against us reports saying Thomas, Tank and Etienne will play today so can’t sleep on them.
