Picket was a half-second late or a half-yard behind several times.  Lack of reps as the backup.

Koy Detmer looked mediocre when he came in during the game.  He looked like an All-Pro when he practiced all week before his start against the Niners in 2002.

Better record vs similar opponents? I'm guessing the wins over PIT and Bmore play a factor? *shrugs*

I'm not sure how to comprehend the 3rd tie breaker.

But I guess since the eagles are the only team above .500 the commanders have beaten..but I'm unsure if I'm interpreting that correctly.

This is wild. Why is the backup QB being held to the same standards as the starters? What backup QB comes in to any game and is able to still keep them in the game till the end? Smith is a starting WR and the backup QB dropped the ball into his hands. He should be held to higher standards. Of course we do better with those defensive turnovers, but that should be a given if the starting QB is playing. Backup had us in the game in the end and the starter couldn't pull it off. Everyone knows Pickett sucks but he was still in the game the entire time. Kind of weird to see our starting playmakers getting excuses.

I wouldn’t look too much into this game as a reflection on Eagles current state. Eagles were dinged up after a physical game against Steelers, injuries affected us & CJGJ ejection was honestly the swaying point of the game. Jayden Daniels is also legitimately really good.

We barely lost with the backup QB who played like trash. Game would have been different with Hurts playing all day.

Just need 1 win over next 2 weeks to lock up division & 2 seed.

Biggest takeaway was special teams was biggest issue today.

Yeah. That’s another thing. What in the world was up with the kick coverage?

It's okay. The other team played well, made some key plays when they needed to, and squeaked out with a win in their own stadium. It's not like we got folded by 2 scores or anything. We're still one of the best two teams in the conference with an excellent shot to play in another super bowl.

How many teams lose games when they win the turnover margin 5-1?

Obviously all three phases played their part in this loss, but it’s undoubtedly a win with a routine catch by Smith. No denying that.

So we ignore every play that happened before that? Picket doesn’t throw a pick into triple coverage on our own 7 yard line and the Eagles probably win by double digits.

We could do that with a bunch of plays. Overall Devonta had a bad drop but is normally amazing. Picket was consistently awful throughout imo and was bailed out huge by AJ drawing penalties.

Considering that's what you do when we win with Hurts.... yes lol

Did we ever find out what CJGJ did for his second foul that got him ejected?

Did everyone in here think they were going undefeated all the way to the Super bowl? They were bound to lose a game, and the redskins always give trouble somehow. Then hurts goes out and it was easily a loss

As frustrating as this loss is, I kind of agree with this. I’d rather lose now than in the playoffs. That doesn’t mean I’m excusing this loss—we should have won this game. But my BP is dogshit, and the weed hasn’t kicked in yet, so I need to calm myself down somehow.

F this game.

We just need to hope Hurts is back next week.

or the falcons can steal a win next weeks since the eagles don't have a chance to get #1 seed

I don’t think anyone is blaming the loss on Pickett. (Or they shouldn’t be anyway)

The Texans to the Lions earlier this year. It happens.

Here's where I'm at.

Hurts was out, Sweat was hurt, Slay was hurt, CJGJ got ejected for...something, Davis got banged up, Pickett had a sore arm.

They still narrowly lost to a divisional rival on the road playing in their SB. The drop sucked, the defense did too, but the fact of the matter is if we don't get so banged up we blow them out.

Sucks, but we move on. Have zero fear of any team in the NFC, especially Washington.

Being a cocky €unt

Blaming the refs for this loss is weak. We lost this ourselves in almost every way possible.

Especially when he should have won the game with a perfect ball to Smith.

Yes, Saquon lost us the game in week 2.

Why are you pretending otherwise?

Sure if Quinyon didn’t bite on McLaurin fake they don’t score in 1st half. If we don’t throw a pick, miss a FG we in. What’s your point?
He dropped the pass. You’re right, we probably win if he hangs on. What do you want to have happen? Does he suck now?

Pickett def was off on quite a few throws, made some bad decisions…but lost in all this is OL protection became a QB responsibility this season.  Pickett not only came in cold off the bench, but had to pick that up too (based off what I saw no OL seemed to take that over).  OL was not functioning well…which leads me to believe Hurts is actually doing better in that department than i thought.

He's right, it's insane he got ejected. I've never in my life seen a player get ejected for trash talk that wasn't directed at a referee. Unless he spit on a player, it was totally out of bounds to eject someone for trash talk. Ridiculous abuse of power by the officials.

I must have missed the triple coverage you are talking about.

Feel like I'm living in bizzaro world listening to noted Hurts haters Rob Ellis on WIP talking about how you can't blame Pickett at all and the defense didn't do anything to win this game.  Defense got 5 turnovers and Pickett did nothing with it all game long.

The ones who kick field goals instead of scoring touchdowns. Semper Fi

Two dropped passes from being 15-1. I know that’s football but just crazy.

That’s every damn player in the league.  Not good enough - I want the refs to be accountable and say what he did.

One play doesn’t win or lose the football game. Kenny Pickett had the possession and was up 21-7. And then proceeded to lead us to5-6consecutive terrible drives

The Devonta drop should have never mattered. Kenny Pickett put us in a situation it had to
