Looking at the standings this guarantees whoever wins the East gets the 2 seed. Which means playing Washington or Green Bay.

This is wild. Why is the backup QB being held to the same standards as the starters? What backup QB comes in to any game and is able to still keep them in the game till the end? Smith is a starting WR and the backup QB dropped the ball into his hands. He should be held to higher standards. Of course we do better with those defensive turnovers, but that should be a given if the starting QB is playing. Backup had us in the game in the end and the starter couldn't pull it off. Everyone knows Pickett sucks but he was still in the game the entire time. Kind of weird to see our starting playmakers getting excuses.

Well again, I guess it doesn’t matter because the eagles are going to win one of the next two and win the division and get the two seed… but… the defense gave the offense like 90 turnovers. Picket was useless unless there was either a penalty or a player caught a dying duck well before the sticks and made a play for themselves.

I guess what I’m mainly saying is Picket stinks and he isn’t our qb so this game doesn’t mean a whole lot. They won’t get the one seed but oh well.

Being a cocky €unt

He needs to treat refs like he does receivers and give plenty of space.

The game came down to Smith. Point blank. We gave him a huge new deal, all he is here to do is be a sure handed WR because he isn’t a deep threat or someone who breaks tackles.

He has 1 job and that’s to catch the ball when it hits him in the hands, and he blew it.

Not true. Blaming individuals for 1 mistake is a C trick.

Pickett sucks. He still led the team down to 33 points and a GWD if the defense doesn't give up almost 40. They still scores 33 points even if Pickett sucks.

Did I mention that Pickett sucks?

We all recognize this

You'll be able to slob Hurts' knob again soon

Tbh hurts has missed time late in seasons 3 out of 4 years. In 2021 hurts missed a game late in the year where minshew stepped in (week 13 and fortunately we had a bye the following week and beat a bad jets team). In 2022, he missed 2 weeks, we lost both games and was forced to play in week 18 so they could get HFA. Last year he made it through. This year has a broken finger on his non-throwing hand and essentially missed 3.5 quarters of this game with a concussion. I can’t blame him for the concussion just like i couldn’t for wentz when clowney knocked him out. But the pattern is developing where he’s banged up towards end of seasons and misses time. Frankly small hands Pickett isn’t the biggest reason we lost. He’s part of the reason though as his int played large in the end too

that said the defense was good in creating turnovers today. Pretty much bad in everything else. They were bad in the red zone, bad at keeping containment and bad on 3rd and 4th down. Bad at tackling. And gave up way too many big plays. 3 pass plays of over 30, 2 over 40 and a run of 29 to Daniels on 4th down

Pickett def was off on quite a few throws, made some bad decisions…but lost in all this is OL protection became a QB responsibility this season.  Pickett not only came in cold off the bench, but had to pick that up too (based off what I saw no OL seemed to take that over).  OL was not functioning well…which leads me to believe Hurts is actually doing better in that department than i thought.

Another person who hates on Hurts anytime he's less than perfect now bending over backwards to make excuses for Pickett.

It isn't a coincidence that Hurts has one of the highest QB win percentages of all time and Eagles far in the losing colum in games where he doesn't play.  He leaves game with a lead and nearly the whole game played with another QB and we lose it despite 5 defensive forced turnovers.

I must have missed the triple coverage you are talking about.

Well watching the reply it looked like a lot of red jerseys standing there anticipating a slant to AJ. Maybe I went overboard with my description but I found it to be an ill advised pass they were waiting on.

This was a bad loss but maybe they will fix some of the things that led to it.

Everything is fixable.

Too many drops.

Too many undisciplined rushes letting Daniels run free.

Too many inexplicable coaching decisions... including the wild cat at the 3 or 4 yard line.

Without the starting QB... you have to have everyone else step up.  They didn't.  Teams win, and teams lose.  The team lost today.   This will humble them, and give them a fire for the playoff run.

Yeah. That’s another thing. What in the world was up with the kick coverage?

Not sure but that was bad.

Pickett wasn’t good, but he was good enough to win today. Gotta catch the ball.

Yep, he wasn't good but AJ dropped the sideline pass. Saquon dropped the one that he put in the bucket down field and of course DeVonta's catch would have sealed the game. Their top 3 players all dropped passes in the last few minutes of the game.

What frustrated me was that, even with multiple replays of the hit to Hurts’ head, the announcers continued to glaze the Commanders as if we weren’t about to rout them before he got injured.

Olsen can eat a D.

Meanwhile, in Buffalo, the Bills are on upset alert.

Blaming the refs for this loss is weak. We lost this ourselves in almost every way possible.

I don't know about that. There was once again a lot of tacky calls. Either missed or completely fabricated to screw us

He's right, it's insane he got ejected. I've never in my life seen a player get ejected for trash talk that wasn't directed at a referee. Unless he spit on a player, it was totally out of bounds to eject someone for trash talk. Ridiculous abuse of power by the officials.

It doesn't make sense

Smitty drop was brutal but I can’t imagine hating on him for the mistake considering how many big plays he makes for us. Sometimes it just happens that a player makes a mistake.

Maybe in the future our special teams could be bothered to not let our opponents start at the 40 every effing possession.

Most underrated part of the game.

Our Defense’s best ally was our ball control offense. Lose that and our defense is more vulnerable

We’ll get Washington round 1 and beat the crap out of them

Game next week isn’t a sure thing either. Dallas D has been better and if Hurts is out, we’re in a lot of trouble.

Defense didn’t play like an elite defense, but still did plenty enough for them to win the game. A lot of blame for the offense - including the O-line. Barkley was basically hit before or at the line of scrimmage after the first quarter. Smith dropped the game winner and so we end up losing in Philly fashion…

Barkley gets hit because they put 10 in the box how are you going to block all that

"Man what a change in play by this Washington D to shut Saquon Barkley down!"

No, Greg. The change was that we couldn't throw and the entire team was in the box.

Such a legendary sketch. Apparently it bombed at the table read and was almost cut, but then killed at dress and the rest is history.

I'm guessing he got caught using the N word, even though it's probably used every play. I'm not saying that in any sarcastic way, it's just my guess.

I know it gives them an edge, but the defense really needs to mature moving forward. Gardner Johnson getting tossed was inexcusable. Carter has been doing some stupid stuff the past two weeks too. That was a soft call on him today but you can’t put yourself in that situation. They were also too buddy-buddy with Daniels today.
