Hurts in no way outplayed purdy. He was terrible with his checks almost all night.

Purdy threw two picks and padded his stats with like 100 YAC. I don't think we had a single completion beyond the LOS where there were any chances at YAC.

At least we dont have to watch this crap anymore. Embarassing offense, every game that wasnt agains the raiders absolutely sucked to watch. I haven't hated an eagles offense like this in a long team, even when the offense sucked at least there was usually a lack of talent. This group has zero excuses at all and their insistence that they were "about to turn the corner" all Fing year was infuriating.

I hate saying this. I want the Eagles to win every game they play. But it was like pulling teeth watching that offense. I woke up this morning like i hope the win but part of me was at least if they lose i don’t have to watch this shitshow on offense.

What makes this worse for me than anything is that when I watch other teams I actually get enjoyment out of watching them come up with creative things on offense and getting their offense to function. When I watch the Eagles, the only joy I get is watching the defense for the most part.

Can we admit something though even with 2024. The offense looked great in 2024 because they had a historic run game that covered up for a lot. Saquon could just bust off a run so they would have a touchdown. This year we couldn’t do that. So when they actually had to sustain drives and be efficient like they were pass wise in 2024, it wasn’t happening. My point is the historic run game covered up for a lot of the lulls this offense would’ve had more frequently if the passing game was asked to step up every week

Why not? Those last two drives mean nothing if the offense did literally anything, but they didn't.

But they did mean something. And they failed. Twice. It’s a team game. Don’t let them off the hook.

I think if there's another season in which the Eagles fandom demands Sirianni, who's never not made the playoffs, to win the Super Bowl or be fired, it's clear I've outgrown Eagles discussion and should consider not participating in the fandom anymore. Because clearly the appreciation for how difficult it is to win a Super Bowl will have been completely lost.

Provide to the discussion as to what makes him a great HC then? CEO? But can’t fix anything on either side of the ball when things go bad.

What is he great at? Legitimately, what does he do well? I can’t think of a thing he does well. So let’s hear it. Culture? Birds have always had a good culture as long as I can remember. So what is it?

So it was the first half when we did that 2nd or 3rd and like 18 run? lol

Hurts is not a QB who can be effective if he's not actively gaining chunks and first downs on the ground and a threat to run impacting coverages when he's passing. Even the biggest Hurts supporters will acknowledge that.

Hurts will be 28 next year. The running threat is fading. So how does this end?

I'm not sure if Brady really understands why Hurts was leaving wide open pockets, but if he's right about him leaving wide open pockets because he wasn't able to see, it might really be time to consider if he's the guy. There was at least a time or two where he left a clean pocket only to run away from the open target.

The eagles really aren’t going into 2026 as the most talented team in the league anymore.

The QB is a below average passer. The OL has no RT. The defense will have a net efflux of talent for the second consecutive year.

And the biggest boost is usually the 2nd year players…and Campbell and Mukuba were pretty meh rookies.

They aren’t quite oozing with talent anymore.

I love that the cult thinks Hurts decided that the 2nd and 18 call should be a run instead of a pass.

Really funny stuff.

QBs love runs on 2nd and 18.

Wouldn't that include making a stop with the lead at the end? Instead they gave up a huge TD drive. By definition, no, they didn't do enough.

Well hell then the offense should only have to score 3 every game if the defense does their job according to you

When did the offense do enough? The last two drives don't matter if the offense could do anything against a bottom 15 defense. There's a reason Shanahan is a respected coach, he does the opposite of our coaching staff which is scheme guys open. At least the defense put up some semblance of an effort

Counter question, since you have all the answers? What did John Harbaugh do so well that let him remain the coach of the Ravens? How about Dan Campbell with the Lions?

Do you know? I'm just wondering.

I think Campbell played well and will only get better

I'm assuming the 1st round pick is going to RT

Though to be honest I'm worried about the long term health of Cam and Landon

YAC often is a QB stat. Robinson and Jennings long catch and runs were great throws. Hurts didn’t give Shipley a good enough ball and basically tackled him. Purdy got to his fifth read on the game winning TD. Hurts threw into triple coverage with the game on the line.

There have been six years where I've felt we had a SB level teem during the year. Five of those went to the SB and only the 2002 season turned into a loss before the SB. This year was never a year that entered the group and at no time did I feel like the team was going to the SB. We were never a great team. Not at any point.

Can't believe that no one in this current trash Philly media couldn't ask him if he was going to consider any coaching changes at OC or on offense.

Cowards.

I don't think you can say he outplayed Purdy today. He played like crap today. He allowed a terrible defense to look good, made a bunch of poor decisions, just a poor performance today.

Purdy made like two good throws and threw two picks. The fact that it's even debatable shows the immense difference in quality between the coaching staffs.

Siri and Patullo have a crazy talented roster and Shanahan had nothing.

If Sirianni was fired he might not even get a HC interview. He's useless and he's been exposed as a fraud

I will, there's no point discussing any more because the defense was the only part of the team doing anything the entire game and is the only reason we even played a game today

The 49ers best pass was from a WR.

Purdy was not awful as a whole in swirling winds but Shanahan schemed guys open for him all night.

Lamar exploded into the league

This is why I think Patullo and Johnson sucked:

Nick has said numerous times that each offensive coordinator runs his offense. He sets the frame work, and they build within that.

When you hire a Steichen or a Moore who were previously OC’s in different schemes, they’re able to add unique flares and wrinkles and ingenuity to Nick’s framework.

But when Nick hires from within, he’s elevating guys who only know what he knows. The offense becomes nothing more than the framework, basic and conservative as humanly possible.

Howie will get him to bring in a new guy with fresh ideas, and suddenly everyone will think Sirianni is a stud again

Yeah you’d pull him into your office and shine his knob

Probably. DE could also be in the mix

There's no A game when you have a bunch of amateurs coaching against professionals. They never put him in a position to succeed.

He outplayed Purdy tonight but the result is massively different because the Niners have professional coaches and we have asshats who belong in high school.

Hurts is not an all timer but he has clearly demonstrated that he's capable of playing at a very high level when put in position. Same as AJ and Saquon.

What the F were you watching? 😂😂

Nope just not look like a bunch of stiffs against JAGs and CMC. It was a totally uncharacteristic performance but the defense was poor tonight
