Re-sign Goedert and go draft this guy RD4 or RD5:

6-4 259 - nice

I don't want a first round WR unless they are special.

The Eagles aren't going to identify those 6' just OK speed guys in the 20's that become top pros and, respectfully, Jalen Hurts isn't going to make them top threats.

Devonta Smith was special...one of the best separators, producers, and route runners in NCAA history.

If they are going to spend a first round pick on a WR for this offense that doesn't even throw the football, then it better be someone that runs a 4.2 and makes the rest of the defense look like it's on pause, not slow motion...or someone that is 6'5" and moves like they are 5'11"...or someone whose routes make Marvin Harrison Sr. look sloppy. As many things as they've figured out, they do not, can not, have not, and will not identity the future gems amongst the mass of 6' something pretty good prospect types. And we just don't throw the ball well enough or often enough to invest in WRs that are more interchangeable than special.

The #Jets have been eliminated from postseason contention for the 15th straight season. The longest playoff drought in North American sports continues 💔

Doubs to Pats

We'll see how this affects AJ Brown

AJ isn't leaving

I hope they overpaid him and count on him as their WR1

4 years $70M for Doubs lol

Omg what a terrible deal. Just because you have a rookie QB contract doesn’t mean you have to be stupid

And he is a great blocker.

Everything that Calcaterra wasn't.

Mid-round gem in my opinion

I don't really think much has changed with AJ the entire offseason. They are under no obligation to move him, this isn't the TO situation. They will get their asking price or they'll keep him. If someone meets the asking price I think they'll consider it. Also wouldn't be shocked if Howie pokes around Brian Thomas Jr. Not just for this year but for the future because AJ is likely gone next year anyway.

Yep. Howie held all the cards here. They absolutely do not have to trade him. His "issues" are minor at best (the biggest IMO the effort toward the end of the season, I can understand that for frustration with Patullo, still a professional should do their job but hopefully new coaching helps everyone). The tweets, the other things people over exaggerate and call him a cancer are over the top. The team likes him.

However, contract wise and how the roster is built everyone should realize that AJ won't get another contract here. It makes absolutely no sense to trade him before June 1st unless they get an amazing offer. After the 2026 season (or maybe post June 1st) he will be traded for the best compensation they can get. There will be other offensive players gone after next season as well as they will likely rebuild the offense to get younger while the defense core stays intact.

This seems like an unsmart decision.
