Maxey starter like 3 for 13. Cant have that. And, no help. VJ 10 points. George has yet to score 20 in the playoffs...

Their defense and rebounding hurt them. Boston hit 20 3s at a 43% clip. Most of their looks were open 3s. Losing th rebounding total by 8 and giving up 15 offensive boards. I don’t know what the Celtics second chance points were but it has to be in the 20s. Remember vividly 3 3s that way.

Very clear to me we're running the current McVay offense and not the Shanahan offense.

Love this pick. We should have taken Dawand Jones in 2023. Make up for it. Bell's size will make him at minimum a swing tackle. Even those players make real money in free agency. If he's more than that? Don't need OT next year. If he's not, this doesn't prevent us from replacing Lane next year. This also forces Hinton and Cameron Williams to develop and not coast.

Dawand Jojes was my exact thought.

I really had no idea what to expect of our OL preferences with the new scheme. I guess we aren’t going to be OZ.

As much as I've defended Hurts (because the hate is too extreme), I've also been critical. It's clear Lurie and Howie see the window with this defense and Fangio and no one is safe. Stoutland out. Nick's friend OC out. Hired Mannion and Grizzard. Getting younger WR and TE to add. AJ will be traded. There is a new direction and they want explosive offense again. And if Hurts can't execute that this year, I honestly would not be surprised at some point seeing him benched. I think they mean business, show results or else, to any player. They (naturally) believed they had a strong chance to repeat last year and they are still hungry, they want to get back to the SB and keep winning. Contract wise Hurts will be here but after next season if he doesn't run this offense and it's not running smoothly as expected, change will come.

Thanks for the blog recap of what has been discussed ad nauseam for the past 3 months...and to think everyone underestimates your genius level knowledge

Eagles loading up on offense. Makes sense. They sneakily got older here (and guys playing older than their age) and needed to hyper focus on that. I am going to assume that Howie's not done at safety and grabs another vet in trade. I think this has been a solid offseason so far and we are still not done. Feel much better than last offseason overall. And still have the pending AJ trade to look forward to.

We are going to stink next season. 🦅😝

Wonder if the Eagles intend to convert someone to OG. Have no depth there at all. Sign Becton?

I mean. I considered that. He was a QB and new to TE. But can blocking really be that bad still?

Unless they think Kendall can play G.

Bell - well, he’s huge. Massive upside, massive risk.

People talk about Bell and that size as a positive. I worry about someone that size against speed rushers in the NFL. It's not like he's some great athlete. Some studs on the board. I'll feel much better about the pick if Eagles trade back in with McKee but I doubt it.

Ah, yes because everyone else posts only unique ideas that have never been discussed before! WTF is this coming out of nowhere, you ok bro?

I don’t think they’ll bench Hurts. I would never wish injury on a player, but if it were to happen to Hurts, I’d be really intrigued to see what McKee can do with this offense and I wonder if that’s the catalyst/excuse to transition away from Hurts.

Yup...it is a down draft year at the top. I am guessing the Eagles saw the first round draft grades end around 12-15. They may have pulled the trigger on an OT at 23 if one fell to them, but I doubt they would have gone up for one of the main 4. When one of the 1st round graded players fell in a position of need the Eagles took their shot. I think two 4's was a little rich, but if the Eagles felt the talent would help the team, then so be it.

We all pretty knew that this draft class was stinky. So far, it's playing out as such.

I went into it thinking that if the Eagles can get 1 or 2 decent players, that would be good enough.

He has pretty good feet for his size and long arms. He played against some really good edge rushers in college and dominated.

Obviously nothing is guaranteed, but I don’t think he’s the typical lumbering giant. He can actually move a little bit in pass pro. Just not very inspiring as a run blocker, at least from what I’ve seen.
