Bring me DeShon Singleton as a UDFA

@Joe Ball another LB!

Get overseas Samoans for the O-Line; Africans for the D-Line.

Howie got this IPP market cornered.

Nut up then ****. What kind of a bet do you want make with me that Dalton is on the team unless they are able to trade him for more than they gave up for him. You can talk all of the stupid nonsense you want but it doesn't change the fact they aren't going to go out of their way to trade for a backup QB like Andy Dalton when they could have just signed some random backup QB to compete for a roster spot , only to make him compete for a spot. It's like you're new to following this team. Either way I will be waiting for you put your nuts on the table and let me know the terms of our bet.

Why the F am I going to bet on that when I haven't seen how this kid they just drafted does this summer?

You say go out of their way as if the Eagles had to go through this strenuous process in order to be able to obtain Andy Dalton. A GM that loves to trade made a simple trade. Why not just go sign some random backup QB to compete for a backup spot? Because the Eagles were able to get Dalton on the hook for just a 7th round pick and $1.5M which is basically the vet minimum. You go and sign a random QB with starting experience as backup and you are likely paying at least $5M+.

Andy Dalton was a cheap acquisition that provided the Eagles options to move on from McKee and still have an experienced cheap backup if they did. Draft has passed, McKee is here and they took a flyer on a 5th round QB. As I said, chances are Dalton is better than the kid they drafted by enough of an amount that they keep him. But it isn't 100% in the slightest. He is absolutely going to be in a competition for that 3rd QB roster spot with the draft pick.

Dont forget Bishop Fitzgerald.

Here's where it gets interesting with Uar....what the heck do you do with him for 2026? The fact that it was the Eagles that drafted him will undoubtedly cause buzz. He will not be safe on the PS...which really would be the best place for him. Fake injury IR sure, but the NFL cracks down on that now and if he can't practice with the team...you'll never develop him.

Mailata burned a roster spot for most of his rookie year until they found an opportunity to get him on IR, probably when they wanted the spot, in December. I'm assuming all the stress fracture in the back noise was BS. And then he spent the vast majority of year 2 on IR.

They may need to put him on the initial 53 and then IR him down the road.

Chiefs got the big temple WR

Their first round pick was by far the least interesting selection.

Interesting... I thought it was the most interesting because it was a clear signal of the changes we were making to the offense.

Uar Bernard is gonna get more hype and interest than any other Eagles pick in this draft. Uniquely Eagles circumstance.

Obviously I have no clue what will ultimately happen but on paper this draft is kind of just meh for me. I absolutely love the Lemon and Stowers pick and think the upside for both and injecting some young talented pass catchers into this offense is exciting. That being said the rest of the draft does very little for me. Bell is fine at 68 based on this draft but most years a guy like that is a 4th or 5th round pick who just hope becomes a good backup. Payton is a major project although I like taking a shot on a QB every year. The only other pick that even remotely intrigues me is the Nigerian dude. Morris is a big Georgia guard who fell to round 6 so he must not be good. Wisniewski is a box safety with borderline LB size which isn't a great fit in a Vic Fangio defense at safety. My guess is they drafted him for special teams and depth only. The last guy they picked, the edge rusher, meh. Love Lemon, Love Stowers, love the Greenard trade but the rest is pretty bland and guard depth and starting safety concerns me quite a bit. I'd give Howie a B. Overall this draft quality and viewing experience was an F and the worst draft I can remember.

Dolphins got DT Rene Konga

Yeah.

You don't take him unless you have a clear plan to eat the roster spot for a year or two. Luckily we have one of the best DT rotations in the NFL, so we can probably afford to keep him on ice for a year.

LMAO, so in other words you are going to pull a Bryan Rust and talk a big game until you have a chance to nut up and then skate away with your tail between your legs? **** ass move but not surprising

Very nice draft. Well done, Howie.

Rams are signing Matthew Caldwell. I dont know who that is and I wonder if they think theyve gotten Jeff Caldwell.

Would have been really uncomfortable if he said that Cole Payton is a jerk and that's why he left NDSU! "I can't stand that guy!"

Great question. If he doesn't count as a roster spot during the season, that would be huge. A legit red shirt where he could practice and not take up a spot, but also not be exposed to waivers.

But, I don't think so. I think he just doesn't count against the TC roster number.

He was drafted so he counts. They have to keep him or cut him. That is my understanding. It was the same with Mailata. Everybody figured he would be cut and put on the practice squad but he looked ok in the preseason and the Eagles were afraid he would be picked up on waivers.

Their 7th round picks in the last 20 years. There are a few years they don't have any 7th rounders from trading them.
