Same guy pushing packers talking about trading for Carter so take it for what it’s worth

It makes sense. I'm sure the Eagles would like to have him back and I doubt Sweat would mind. He left to get paid.

Eagles are "in” to extent Howie will call and ask.

We agree on Tank and hopefully the new guy uses him more. All I'm trying to say is unless they are punting on the season they should keep him and I don't see the wisdom in doing so now.

I hear you. But I don't think the 2026 Eagles are necessarily a great AJ Brown away from winning it all. They may have to take a step back this year. They gotta lot of question marks on offensive line and are aging at RB and TE (if keep Goedert). I don't think they miss much with Devanta as a number 1 guy and a decent number 2. Don't know who that is. They barely used these weapons all these years. Ha. New OC might be able to unleash these guys better and any new parts and it will be diverse enough and better than last year's version. With or without AJ . Let AJ be a diva elsewhere. For me he didnt back up the talk. He lost me with the drops against SF. He turtled in a big game. Sell now. The Eagles need to become a championship defense once again and just maybe can stomach a solid offense and still win it all. Their championship aspirations lie with the defense. Why I was so opposed to losing MW just breaking out in his prime.

Sweat can come home.

But not at the AZ price tag.

I think the DIckerson may not be for any specific move but just in general to free up money. Maybe to squeeze in whatever they want to do. Greenard, Brisker, etc.

Hes all over the pro day posts but I noticed he called something before it happened on packers free agency. He may be more reliable for packers stuff only not sure. But he seems fairly plugged in.

They may not be, but they don't have anyone close to his talent to replace him with. It's easy to say they won't miss him, and Smith got open because he is talented, but you can't discount how much having Brown on the other side helped. I think we have been pretty spoiled the last few years and forget what it's like to not have two top ten WRs. Again, if you want to write the season off go for it. If you want to give them the best chance to succeed then you keep him until you get an offer worth doing it. They don't have to move him regardless of what the talking heads say for clicks.

If a guy is underperforming and wants out. And a new contract extension. Then we might as well rip off the band aid. He's not part of the future core here. I think that's clear, so cash out. Before you get very little. And will have to learn a new offense. Might as well start clean.

So what's the holdup on Goedert? They had all this time to work on something, moved the deadline from Wed to Fri. Just git er done.

AJ Brown was not great last year. You can blame the situation and that's fair, but it's the truth. He lost at the catch point. He gave up on routes. He wasn't winning downfield. Oh, and we still have to manage his knee/hamstring week to week. That was fine when he was an explosive #1, but not anymore. He's still killer on slants in man-coverage, but teams don't like playing zone against us so that's gone. He'll be better on a different roster as long as his knees hold up.

This team just needs to run the ball better. Getting another WR with speed to back off the some safeties is in our best-interest. The ideal version of that is Brian Thomas JR, but that's expensive. A lower-tier option like Mooney could work (doesn't count as a comp pick too). The "play great defense" and "run the ball better" option IS on the table for 2026. It doesn't need AJ Brown as long as we can access the deep ball again.

The analytics clearly indicate Mike Evans is a 36 point difference

Remaining pre-draft tasks:

  • Re-sign Goedert

  • Re-sign Epps

  • Maaaaybe re-sign Fred Johnson so they're not desperate at OT?

  • Acquire a decent Edge, FA or trade

  • And will they extend Jalen Carter or wait?

Re-sign Goedert- Yes only because we can save cap space.

Re-sign Epps- Meh

Maaaaybe re-sign Fred Johnson so they're not desperate at OT?

If comes only for minimal salary.

Acquire a decent Edge, FA or trade- URGENT!!!

And will they extend Jalen Carter or wait?

Wait for sure. Could be another Jurgens case of damaged goods.

Don’t just look at 2026, look beyond as well. Howie does.

Correct. They didnt need any finagling to do those two deals.

Epps is not enough at safety unless the plan is to start Cooper at safety which isn't popular. You cannot rely on antoher rookie along with with Mukaba
