So theres a precedent for them to get things right after the review board checks things over. The only thing I feel a little bad about is that it took this long. Belgium prepared all week for a team without Balogun and supposedly no chance to appeal. Day before the match, Balogun is in. Thats really tough for Belgium. This should have happened a lot quicker.

This should have happened a lot quicker.The rules didn't prevent the card being incorrectly doled out in the first place thriugh improper use of VAR (the initial corruption). It's all faux outrage to me because if this happened to France or Argentina the world would first have rioted against the card to begin with and then would be applauding this reversal.

Surely he didnt call for Ronaldo's to be suspended so there is a precedent for FIFA in THIS world cup to overturn the suspension for a country other than the US.

FIFA needs to take a hard look at themselves if they were able to reverse that decision (by their own written rules looks like they could) and decided not to because of....reasons? They haven't even addressed the improper use of VAR to issue the card in the first place, they had an official completely ignore guidance and not a peep about corruption. Let's not pretend this is the first time politics has affected FIFA.
