As if Embiid can stay healthy.

The Sixers could compete without Embiid though now that they have Brown. The Warriors don’t have enough I don’t think.

I don't think they can if we are talking about competing to win the title. They are still fully dependent on Embiid being available in and throughout the playoffs.

I doubt we get Lebron

They should be able to extend Embiid's career too, if you can get him to stay within 10 feet of the rim. Block shots, rebound and get a steady 18 to 20 a game on easy put backs and 6 to 8 footers. No need to be out guarding the perimeter running all the f over the place. He really does go from guarding perimeter to crossers to paint a bunch of times a game.

They can literally sit Embiid for the first 62 games of the season and be a top 5 seed with who they have. Bring Embiid along slowly in to game shape over the last 20 games. And then let it rip for playoffs. Probably sweep the first series or 2 which will give him some rest too.

I believe Anaheim already put out there that they would match any offer sheet. But that is a ridiculous offer sheet. And I love Leo carlsson.

Howie's getting a little tired of other GMs in this city trying to upstage him, he's about to re-sign Jalen Carter and then trade for Justin Jefferson to show everyone else who is still king around these parts.

The Leo Carlsson move is incredible by Briere. Hope it works out.

Embiid could and would get injured during the playoffs even if they rested him the first 62 games. Happens all the time. He hasn't played 5 games in a row since the 2024 playoffs, hasn't played at least 6 games in a row since 2023.

This past playoffs he came back from his appendix surgery in game 4 and by the end of game 7 he had already tweeked his knee which had him all hobbled during the Knicks sweep which he also missed a game during.

He did get schooled by Gansey on dealing Browns to Boston teams.

Yep

I'm hoping he gets traded. He is oddly quiet after all the excitement Gansey is bringing.

As the EMB resident Eagles, Braves, and Knicks fan (Dad is from upstate NY and a diehard fan), really good moves by the 76ers.

We watched the Knicks suffer through the 90s and 00s. He was as elated last month as we all were when the Eagles won their SBs. Pretty sure my Grandfather, God rest his soul, was at the game the last time the Knicks won it all in 73.

The East should be very competitive this year. Not sure the Knicks will strike lightning in a bottle in consecutive years.

Front loaded. Carlsson gets $35 million in next 12 months. Love it. Great move by DB. Reading Giroux is signing with us as well.

I have no idea how the NHL salary cap works but I love these type of moves. Reminds me of when NFL teams found loopholes and put in poison pill clauses on offer sheets. Bring me the GoT’s style moves.

Messi is the only team sport athlete I’d put in the same category as Michael Jordan

Greatest team sport athletes in the last 30 years. I’m sure there’s an international cricket or rugby player I don’t know about but…

  1. Jordan

  2. Messi

  3. LeBron

  4. Brady

  5. Ronaldo

Honorable mentions: Bonds and Gretzky

This is true actually knowing Howie over the years.

Matthew Stafford and wife invited to Swift/Kelce wedding. Mahomes of course. No Jalen Hurts and his wife? Bulletin Board material.

That had best be a semi-illiterate statement because what it actually says is that the Flyers would have to fork over four first-round picks in each of the next four years - a total of 16 first round picks.

World Cup has been phenomenal. Going to give Premiere League a chance when it starts later this summer.
