I swear that I just saw football coach Pete Carroll riding an e-bike on the Huntington Beach boardwalk thingy.

There is one person on the American crew that I can't tell if they are a guy with a high voice or a butch woman. I haven't looked it up, just continue with the uncertainty each game I hear them commentate.

No one cares

It gave me great pleasure to see Argentina thoroughly disgrace themselves in the WC final, both in the game and after. FIFA will be gutted that their little Prince Messi didn't get his coronation, and them having to finally discipline the Argentines for bad behaviour because it was just so egregious.

Fletcher with Hargraves doing the analyzing. I think Hargraves (sp) was a former goalkeeper. I believe they also did the England game in Mexico and they were great.

Darren Fletcher does football and NFL comms, so is a good one. Did the official NFLUK podcast years ago too. Owen Hargreaves was an oft injured player who had a moment in the 2004 and 2006 tournaments until he inevitably got injured again. An improvement on some we had on our TV!

I wish FIFA would pay Kate Scott 150 million to be their exclusive television announcer so that we wouldnt have to hear her for 4 years and she could never ruin another 76ers game.

When a Sixers game appeared on my cable package and Kate Scott was commentating, I finally understood the criticism. Very much nails on a chalk board

@Miami The much better team won.

The villains lost which is probably the best thing anyone can say about the game. Tuchel and the English team hopefully saw that game and maybe will re-think their approach to defense. Argentina's physicality and dirty play wouldn't be as problematic for me if they also weren't floppy crybabies.

He's the answer to the question: "What if Rob Gronkowski was dumber, less talented and played a more physically taxing position?"

Dude will be very fortunate to get a second contract. Although he'll probably have a career after in the WWE and conspiracy theory podcasts. So there that.

The irony. Enzo deservedly gets tossed so they lose a man down in a final no less. And then the guy puts his hand on the other player's throat after the game. Not sure what discipline is appropriate but the federation should be sanctioned. Was glad to see that Messi congratulated the Spanish players. My new least favorite team.

There are soooooo many bad drivers (completely unaware) out there that honestly I thought I could write a comedy show on it alone call "Driving me crazy"

  1. The person in the left lane driving the exact speed as someone on the right causing exactly the scene above.

  2. Their slightly less retarded relative that just drives in the left lane for no reason

  3. When a car, A CAR goes to make a turn but then swings wide like they're an 18 wheeler (and of course this happens when you are getting ready to go around them on the shoulder)

  4. You are in a 40 mph road, single lane in each direction so can't pass, and the f'er in front of you is doing like 20 MPH. That is until they see the yellow light in front of them, hit the gas and leave you shaking uncontrollably stuck at the red light.

  5. The situation happens above because their more retarded relative pulls in front of you from a side road to drive this slow when they could have waited because there is no one behind you for miles....but felt the need to pull in front of you to drive that slow.

These are just my top 5 but I have a ton of idiotic instances on the road that just make me want to cut the car off that has the stupid inside of it and pummel them. #roadrageisreal

I think it is foolish to believe that Howie brought in contingencies if Mannion fails as a play caller with Grizzard and Johnson. Still not clear whether Johnson is here as a contingency for Mannion or back up contingency to help Parks Frazier. Although Frazier has some support from VanGorder, who did coach QBs for a couple of seasons at Georgia.

8 days until it is real football season in Philly.

Why? Twice now they've hired OCs with zero experience, and both times it's ended horribly. It makes complete sense to hire someone who has actually done the job before so you don't completely waste a season like they did last year (the Brian Johnson year was a combination of offensive and defensive failures, so not as obviously wasted as last year).

This team has a very short window of opportunity to seriously compete for a super bowl, and they completely wasted last year. They hired a clueless, incompetent idiot at OC, refused to fire him, and we had two OL playing at 20% because they were hurt all year (I also blame the OC and HC for that).

This way, if Mannion completely blows at the halfway point and we aren't wildly behind in the standings they can make a playcaller change to at least make an attempt to salvage the season. Even if his play design sucks, a different playcaller could provide even slight improvement. All they needed last year on offense was marginal offensive improvement because the defense was so good, and they couldn't even get to mediocre

Also from that article

Sirianni also said that during the spring, there wasn’t a day he beat Mannion to the Jefferson Health Training Complex and there wasn’t a day where Mannion’s car wasn’t still in the parking lot when he left.

I truly hate when people point to working hours as "dedication" or "great at their job". Just because you work 12 hours doesn't mean you get anything done. In fact, if it takes you 12 hours to do what most people can do in 8 I would say you probably suck at your job.

I worked with a dude who always showed up when the building opened and left when it closed, absolutely horrible at his job. Turns out he just really hated his wife.

I always just took it as they are putting in the work cause they want to be good at there job. No it may not be in all cases but, there are plenty of examples that working hrs like that made for a very good employee , coach or player

I doubt it's even true. This is the standard old school football compliment, for some reason. Throughout a year you'll hear of 4 or 5 different players that are first ones in, last ones out, which obviously can't be true.

The Women's FIFA World Cup will run from June 24 – July 25 next year. Another decent distraction before training camp starts.

Before you respond with comments about the quality of women's sports, remember that our women's team has a chance to actually with the whole thing.

Yup, Guys staying consistently staying late was the early indicator of marriage issues.

I don't think any of those ideas are mutually exclusive. Grizzard and Johnson are both potential options as help during the season with issues and successors to Mannion if he gets hired elsewhere as a head coach. I think part of it is Howie trying to get some outside voices for Sirianni and Hurts. They did a terrible job last season fixing offensive problems. My guess is that Howie thinks more options may help get to a solution.
