If the best offer out there is two seconds just keep him. No reason to get fleeced. If the asking price isn't offered don't do it.

You also hav etc ask yourself can you get more value and I don't see how you can based on how he's been playing.  Quite frankly, 2 2nd round picks seems pretty good for a backup QB.

At the end of the day, Eagles won’t be getting a one for Wentz unless they throw in own picks or players of value (who?!). At this point I’d settle for two 2nd rounders (equal value of a late first) and change. There is no turning back unless Carson does a 180 and suddenly is all in.

According to what I've heard, Wentz' issue is with any and everyone who doesn't think he's as good as he thinks he is, reports have him being a bigtime egomaniac.

"Anonymous sources" and "reports" strike again.

Most NFL players have big time egos, nothing new there.

Sorry if I don't know all the rules... Last year Colin Cowherd said if Wentz pays back money to the Eagles before the end of the of the league year it would save cap space. So my question is, is this still the case when the new league year starts? If Wentz does in fact pay back some money trading him for less than 1st's may be more "worth it"

If it's true that Wentz has issues with Howie only, it "could" work since his issue isn't with the new coaching staff. But it would take everyone working to move forward.

If either side had any intention of moving forward they’d be sending different signals. For example the Texans are loudly saying they’re not trading Watson - period.  The Eagles?  Crickets.

When Doug got whacked I thought they were going to try to get Wentz back on track and develop Hurts.  Now?  Who knows but it looks like a hard reset.

Well, neither side is saying anything which makes it easier to later dismiss things as rumors and spin it the way they want.

This is true, though the chances of him giving money back is probably 0 percent. It is more likely he will agree to delay a $10 million roster bonus due around March 17 to increase the window in which he can be traded.

A hard reset would have involved Howie being shown the door too.

I’m sure Howie doesn’t view Wentz as a backup QB.  Can only assume in their minds 2020 was an aberration and that they still view him as one of the up and coming young QBs that was an MVP candidate not long ago who had a rough year.

Well it is not that much how Howie sees him, but how other managers see him. If they don't see him as 1st round value Howie can be stuck with wentz for quite some time if he will be persistent

Carson still an Eagle ??

Bout what I figured.  Do we have any rumors a trade is imminent, today, tomorrow ??

Can you name one actual name that has stated that? Or is it all unamed persons or anonymous sources?

I definitely agree.  My response was based only on what our side is likely thinking to explain why they haven’t accepted 2 x 2nd rd picks.

According to someone’s source, a team has reported they have made a better offer.

Jaworski is the one that reported this.  It’s the colts. 2 second rounders and future 4ths.

Throw in Ertz to make one of the 2nds a 1st

Exactly what I was thinking. We aren't gonna pay him the big contract extension he wants anyways, so why keep a disgruntled Ertz when we'll need to extend Goedert in the near future?

Wentz and Ertz can go together in a package deal to the Colts or Bears, both teams that can use TE help

Can we trade him for this mom/middle linebacker?

Saw those posted somewhere shortly after Super Bowl XV.
