He has only done that in multiple championship games with a top 5 defense, and it took the greatest season by a RB in Eagles history to get him to one of those championship games.

I just sit back and watch you guys banter with the troll and laugh my butt off. I would never, ever, see one of his posts without one of you quoting him.

Here's a hint he/she needs attention and you folks are giving it to him/her.

Exactly, and that's fine with me. That's something we'll miss. When they're favored, they usually come out on top in the playoffs. He never got rattled or threw up in big games. Outside of elite QBs like Stafford, Brady, or Mahomes, it's hard to ask for much more. Dak, Goff, Allen, hell, even going back to Rivers, there were a lot of QBs with more talent who can't say the same. If it makes people happy to say he was carried, go for it. Most of those guys had good teams, and they still never got it done, especially Dak. Yeah, he fumbled in one Super Bowl, but he played his ass off after that, and if he'd had a decent defense that day, he'd have two rings.

The guy is on his way out in the next year or two. I've never seen a guy who played as hard as he does get so much hate from Philly fans. He's the type of guy who's usually beloved, but for some reason, he's hated even after giving us a ring. I'm not a fan of Hurts, but I've come to respect him, and I'm grateful for what he's brought.

I've come to think if he looked like Nick Foles he would be revered here.

Didn’t AJ miss like 4 games though??

Not here to defend AJ. He helped us get a SB win, so I’ll like him for that. But his other "stuff” required him to leave.

Again, Allen is obviously the better player. But there was no huge gap in passing performance.

Yeah, and in the context of the passing game numbers, Allen had no WRs, and Hurts had amazing WRs.

Makes Allen's much more impressive.

Look… At the end of the day with Jalen he’s a 10-16 ranked QB. He’s not elite, he’s not top tier but he’s also not garbage. Ultimately of the top 10 ranked teams in the NFL right now probably at most 2 would take him. Of the 32 teams in the NFL I think there’s maybe 10 that would definitely take him and a handful that you can make a case for.

He’s good, he’s not elite. You put an elite team with him he can help and be a part of winning a SB. But if he doesn’t? Then he can’t. He can’t elevate those around him or overcome the clear deficiencies but he can also be a part of a team success. Given where this team is now and is likely to be for a couple of years I’d move on from him. But if you want to make the case that he should be back with a new HC then fine. But I can’t see the results or the eye test looking much different next year.

10-16 in a time period where there really arent elite QBs other than maybe 1-2 depending on the year.... yeah that sucks.

But he is an elite QB in Superbowls. I like this average QB.

Let's fondly remember what was. And hope we see another cigar lit again.

TBF, one of his two games was only half a game.

But yeah, he does look like a***. So glad I drafted him thinking "oh, they are going to force feed their big offseason splash" furious

I'm flying out Sunday, surprising dad on Monday. We get to meet Jason Kelce pregame, then meet Lurie and go on the field at halftime when he is inducted into the Eagles Hall of Fame.

So I guess me and my 83 year old dad are about to get booed at halftime along with Jeffrey...

Honestly, it comes down to people are spoiled here. You don't have to like him to respect him and appreciate what he's done. Do you know who has a valid reason to complain because their QB sucks when it matters? Cowboy fans, Lions fans, Chargers fans, Packer fans, Ravens fans, and Texans fans. Unless he wins this year Bills fans.

Maybe subtly slip 5 bucks in to Luries pocket. Help out someone who is struggling.

I gave a little more than that to his foundation already...

Eagles fans are spoiled, but not from the perspective of people who can admit the flaws of Jalen. If you struggle to throw on time most years and you're a QB, I think you're overrated. No exceptions.

Part of it is being spoiled. And a part of it is people's perceptions of what a QB needs to look like playing the position. When people start experiencing Marcus Mariota and Garden Minshew level type of talent at the position they will wake up. The Eagles right now are a dysfunctional franchise from head to toe, so it's one big shidd show. Needs cleaning up!

Your other "stuff" is why you should stop trying to sneak into the women's bathroom, RuPaul!

The days of pocket passing QBs are probably done with Stafford. Allen is the next closest thing but he even relies on his legs to make plays. Look at who has come out the last 5 years. Purdy is the best of them and he's in the right system with the right coach and was a 7th round pick. Outside of him you have the Youngs and CJs. We'll see what Williams becomes but having Johnson as a coach sure does help. He even made Goeff look good. People are spoiled and think any guy can step in and be better. Again, the Ravens, Lions, Texans, and Cowboys prove otherwise. Hurts has flaws. So do most QBs these days.

Again, Allen is obviously the better player. But there was no huge gap in passing performance.

Factor in the OL and WRs that Jalen was working with though..

Someone prove to me that Howie Roseman didn't just flub a golden opportunity and multi-year window to win Superbowls? That's an issue to be talking about. We are more close to a rebuild than a retool. Based on our cap situation and how the next 2 drafts are shaping up. I think Howie has to clean house and really should be in stealth tank mode starting right now. It's that urgent. He took a blase approach to an aging offense with a broken and mostly cooked OL, older TE and RB group. And now we are paying dearly for it. Thought putting a band aid with a rookie OC 2 years in a row was the answer.

Then has left the defense to young draft picks that have failed to fill the open voids left by great vets. From Ringo, to S. Brown, to Campbell, to Makuba. To a smaller extent Nolan Smith. There are just a lot of miscalculations here over a 2 year span. And a lot of heavy extensions given too early or to the wrong people. He has been terrible with the smaller details as well with roster management and who to keep on the bottom part. Got rid of good and useful depth last year with Rodgers, Kennard and Booker. Traded a lot of his draft chest needlessly. For instance, let's Fred Johnson go and then trades a pick back for him. Picks up a bunch of nobodies in Dalton and Howell and gives up picks. 🤣These are all little mistakes he has continued to make. This year's roster management has been all time bad. This is the culmination of it all. No accidents.

Imagine my shock when I saw it wasn't that kind of "drag race" they were talking about

I'd have 5 guys inarguably above him - Mahomes, Allen, Jackson, Burrow and Stafford. Then you get into the young guys like Caleb and Maye - I think GMs would obviously take those guys, but still need to see some consistency. Jalen's in the same bucket with Dak, Purdy, Goff, Love, etc. - good enough to win you a title if they have pieces around them. What edges him higher in that group is that, to date, he's the only one to have done it. Dak has had more talent around him than anyone and can't win. Purdy got to the Super Bowl with a stacked roster and lost.

You wanna argue anything form 6-15, it's probably fair.

I’d put Jalen around 12 so yeah I’m right in that ballpark bud.

Kansas, Buffalo, Baltimore, LA and Cincy wouldn’t be interested. Chicago wouldn’t and yeah I’d agree New England probably not. I think after that I’d say NY and Washington wouldn’t yet give up on their QBs. Carolina probably isn’t going to give up Young for Hurts and SF aren’t going to move from Purdy (though I’m still not on board with him). So yeah I think Jalen is anywhere between 10-16. Top half of the league.

He does get a lot of hate but he also gets a lot of love too. I certainly don’t hate him. I’m extremely grateful for what he’s done during his time here. But I also recognise that the time is coming for us to move on.

Thinking about this game, and assuming the goal is to win, I think we need to see Vic dial up the pressure. Tampa owned the Cowboys with blitzes that Dak and the OL couldn't handle. Gannon (yes really) schooled them by loading the box and varying between 4, 5 and 6 man pressures. It's against Vic's DNA of take no risk, keep things in front of you. But I'd like to see them send pressure and play a little tighter on the outside, force Dak to put the ball at risk.

Basically what other teams keep doing to our inept offense.
