I think they’re also going to draft a guard at some point in time in the 2027. I wouldn’t be surprised if Quentin Nelson is a guy they targeting free agency as he’s a free agent at the end of the year. I probably wouldn’t do it cause I think the money is gonna be too rich for the age that he is. Then again we’ve seen an offensive lineman play into their mid 30s at a high level. So maybe he’s that type of guy.We are at a crossroads with this Eagles team. Can they do that quick retool with a healthy Hurts next year? It is plausible. But then there is that side of we are gonna lose key people this offseason due to contract statuses, with Ojomo, Woolen, Goedert, Steen, possibly Barkley. And if you take the rebuilding path, maybe we trade Baun before its too late. Kind of like AJ Brown where you have to extract good value around that 30 year old age marker. So that's a conflict to me, for a quick retool with Hurts next year. It's very confusing as we stand here today. Tough decisions for the big dawg.

I said their offensive line from where he started to where they were at that point in time was the reason the eagles would win that Super Bowl. Remember it cause JR really likes the post. But when you look at when he started with the Chiefs to what it is now, and allowed it to go down the drain. They are better now than what they were at that Super Bowl. And I thought it was idiotic moving thuney to OT. You were better off having your interior offensive line intact. Be really good and helping your guys on the edges. Because you move guys around you then created problems at multiple positions. The issue with the Chiefs is two things, they won SB 57 because Gannon couldn’t figure out the second half along with some other factors to like a fumble that I’m not gonna go into. And the field helped that offensive line hold up against that past rush. Furthermore, they were able to win the next Super Bowl, because that defense was incredible. I would argue that was their best defense the entire time Patrick Mahomes was there. So the Chiefs, who weren’t great that year were able to win that Super Bowl because the defense allowed them to stay in games until the offense made enough place to win that Super Bowl. But the reality is the Chiefs problems are similar to what I’ve said in the past. You eventually were hurting your chances with mahomes to win with the offensive line, they have they need to get it back to at least above average. Furthermore, they didn’t have a running game with. They finally got walker. But their wide receivers are just not good. Besides rice, the rest of them are just guys. And the problem with rice is he never stays healthy and when he is healthy, he does stupid things off the field that gets suspended and not beyond the field. Even Patrick Mahomes needs better talent around him to maximize his talent.Imo the NFL there’s like one quarterback I think that could win with less and really elevate a team to being a contender. And that’s Josh Allen. Because currently that defense is giving up about 29 points per game. So basically he’s essentially playing with a bottom five defense in ppg. Their wide receivers are DJ Moore who’s not been consistently healthy this year. frankly people on here were saying last year that that he was cooked. Keon Coleman as their number two with Shakir who is a slot receiver who’s OK. Dalton Kincaid is essentially their Dallas goedert. Solid but perpetually hurt. Knox is at this point in his career, an ok number two tight end. And their offensive line is good it isn’t elite. Their offense is good so he really doesn’t have to carry them right now offensively. But he and the offense is completely carrying that defense. Because that defense has been terrible all year.I'm amazed they didn't pounce on your for that last paragraph

But the problem is the defense doesn't have to respect the long game with this bad OL and no speed burners, so can tighten up on short routes and leave McKee hesitant to throw into that tight coverage. Also, lack of mobility hurts him. I just don't see how this offense can be consistent with their flaws. Cowboys defense could look like the '85 Bears tonight. The Panthers looked great! But if somehow Dickerson is back and Kendall looks the same as before, then maybe the running game can get going a little.

He’ll say he probably doesn’t deserve to be fired, but we’re at the crossroads we are and we need to go in another direction. So I’m guessing there’s gonna be entirely new coaching in there so part of them getting better next year might just be the coaching being better. Furthermore, I don’t think they’re willing to say they’re in a complete rebuild. I do think they’ll trade parts away that they don’t think are going to be long-term parts of the future. Like woolen, ojomo and steen our guys I think they thought they would have after 2026 anyways. That’s why I think they’re probably way more likely to be gone. Barkley is more of do you believe he can get back to being a great running back at his age or is the value you can get in a trade better and then go looking for your next running backI generally think the Eagles believe that next year if everybody comes back healthy that they’re not gonna be a Super Bowl contender. but they’re gonna be good enough to compete for at least the NFC title

The offense has been carrying the Buffalo Bills this year. There’s no other way around it. You can say Allen has more weapons than in the past, and I would agree. However, there was also the argument last year that people said DJ Moore sucks and he was cooked with the bears. Add on Coleman and Shakir are ok not great. Dalton Kincaid has been Dallas goedert. Good but often injured. OL is good not elite. That is a fair assessment of what that Buffalo Bills team is. Good offense and bad defense. The one thing they have that is truly elite on that offense besides Josh Allen is James Cook. even James Cook has some flaws like he fumbles the ball.
October 26Oct 26 I'm kind of thinking Howie might just think Nicks experiment with the Shanahan offense was a failure and do something else. I still don't think he's getting fired

October 26Oct 26 1 minute ago, Mike030270 said:I know but you invoked his name and said he wouldn't fail that's usually a trigger for themI mean, just in reality of the NFL QBs today, many quarterbacks would have their team being 5-1 with their defense giving up nearly 30 points a game? Basically the Buffalo Bills have to score 30 points or more in order to win games. If they don’t, good chance they are probably losing due to the defense giving up about 29That said, it’s why I can’t see Buffalo winning a Super Bowl. They’re gonna get into a shootout with the wrong team in the playoffs. Like I could see Jacksonville getting into a shootout with them. Jacksonville stops the run better than almost anybody in the league. So if James Cook get stopped and now there’s more pressure to just keep throwing the ball eventually there’s more opportunities for an interception. where if you have one or two turnovers and your defense can’t stop anybody you’re gonna lose the game.
October 26Oct 26 Eagles have 3 open roster spots currently on the 53. My guess is Duckerson, Stowers and the last one Calcaterra or Ertz.

If this team fights till the end and shows improvement week to week on offense to the end of the season, then I think he’s probably gonna get another shot. Then again, I thought Doug was gonna get another year. And Jeff went to that podium saying Doug probably didn’t deserve to be fired, but we felt it was best for the team at this point in time to move in another direction. Wouldn’t be shocked if lurie does that.
October 26Oct 26 I don't care how they do it, just win tonight. Do it for Lane, Jeffrey's induction and Jalen's recovery. The Cowboys lost to an undrafted rookie at home. I need Tanner to dig deep tonight and get this done. Defense, if you have to take over, so be it just get this done.

As far as the NFL goes? Who cares as long as the organization is fulfilling the requirements set by the league. It's not like they have done anything detrimental to the league, I think the least amount you can say while still keeping fans informed and meeting any league requirements is the best way. A lot of fans, media types, etc. think they should have every detail when it comes to players, coaches, and even owners personal events/situations. They aren't owed anything, inform the fans as best you can without giving details regarding people's personal business and move on. Whether or not the fans accept that and move on is their business, but a true fan of an organization will always stand up for their team.
October 26Oct 26 Ertz only needs 8 receptions to break the record. Would be nice to get the record tonight
