That BS doesn't fly. And like the post RTK and I both put on here even the best in the game needs WRs and an OL. Oh, they have been to two SBs in the last 5 years when they had good coaches and sucked when they haven't. No other QB with his win/loss record has been through a new OC every year since 22. You people go too far bashing Hurts. He's not elite and he's not some guy who has to be carried because he has no talent. He's slightly above average and can up his game to Mahomes level in the SB considering he outplayed him twice

The offense was good enough to go on multiple Super Bowl runs and win a Super Bowl. It was good enough to make the playoffs 5 years in a row.People that want to be losers and not contend. You just want an offense with a statue pocket passer so it can look how you think it should look while they don't win and contend for Super Bowls. Because at the end of the day tou can stand that the position has evolved and you have it played a different way and looking a different way than what you think it should look like.

We all know there needs to be talent. The issue is that those in the "anti-Hurts" camp realize that he has been surrounded by elite talent on both sides of the ball and has led that to a bottom 10 passing offense for years now. He does need to be carried. The offense has been comically bad for two seasons now and wasn't great before that. When things start to crumble, when he is not surrounded by elite talent all over the field, he has proven to be incapable more often than not of elevating the team.

October 26Oct 26 I think people are under the illusion that Patrick Mahomes or Matt Stafford would succeed in this offense with little talent and a bad running game. And the worse offensive minds in the league. Only one guy would elevate it. Josh Allen. He creates the running game, like Hurts used to. He could survive this awful offensive line and mediocre talent overall. One caveat though, he would be throwing boneheaded Wentzian picks to lose the game in the end with gorgeous stats leading up to it.

In contrast, the league is not thrilled with the manner in which the team handled the ensuing controversy.Marcus Hayes of the Philadelphia Inquirer, citing an unnamed "longtime source well-connected to the NFL offices,” reports that the powers-that-be are "furious” with the team for its messaging regarding the situation. To date, only coach Nick Sirianni has been made available to answer the obvious follow-up questions raised by a pair of statements issued by the team. Sirianni didn’t have much to say, regardless of whether he did (or didn’t) know more about the matter than he shared.G.M. Howie Roseman, who runs the entire football operation, has not addressed the issue. The doctors who evaluated Hurts have not been made available.Through it all, the team has hidden behind "patient privacy” — even after the statements shared specific details about the "superficial” blood clot that became a deep vein thrombosis and multiple blood clots in his lungs. The medical privacy rights of Jalen Hurts have already been compromised, if not expressly waived. Specific questions about how the initial condition arose, when it was diagnosed, how it was treated, and whether the complications flowed from those decisions are irrelevant at this point to the issue of privacy.Of course, the NFL didn’t help the situation via the dismissive comments made by multiple executives last week, including chief medical officer Allen Sills. His insistence that Hurts had "very conservative” care doesn’t mesh on the surface with the decision to let him fly to London, to play in London, and to fly home from London. On Sunday, the NFL and NFL Players Association jointly announced that they are "working together” on the Hurts case. It’s unclear what that means, especially since the NFLPA has not yet officially invoked its unilateral right to demand an investigation under Article 39, Section 5(f) of the Collective Bargaining Agreement. The union can’t afford the perception of complicity in a possible coverup. Any investigation, in whatever form it takes, must seek real answers to hard questions and provide them to the public. It’s impossible for the NFL to, on one hand, welcome public attention, engagement, and stadium funding while, on the other, say "none of your damn business” when the public has natural curiosity about the things that happen to NFL players. Last week, the Eagles failed to satisfy the widespread interest in Hurts’s case. Moving forward, any effort to investigate what happened must include a commitment to true and complete transparency.Through it all, the Eagles play a home game tonight against the Cowboys. It will be interesting to see whether and to what extent ESPN’s wall-to-wall coverage of the game advances the lingering Hurts story.

The he only did well because he has elite talent is BS. He didn't have a run game in the SB and made plays with his legs and arm. He carried that offense in two SBs. People talk about the fumble or the hold call. If Watkins catches the ball Hurts has two rings. The problem is coaching. Again, what other QB with is win loss record has been through a new OC every year since 2022?Incapable of elevating the team? You mean like Mahomes last night? With arguably the best coach of all time he scored 3 points. Why? Because his OL sucks and his WR aren't elite. Hurts isn't elite like Mahomes but he can elevate to that level and the rest of the time he's slightly above average. That's good enough to win and a better spot than a lot of spoiled people here understand. I see that and I don't even like him.
October 26Oct 26 The Eagles were always built on the lines. This is where Howie stumbled. Some of it is bad fortune and some of it is bad choices & misjudgement. If the lines were up to standard, the Eagles are in the Superbowl conversation right now.

He still played well in both. I don't think anyone said otherwise, but let's call a spade a spade, the defense deserves the lions share of credit for the second bowl.Yeah, Mahomes played like crap. I'm guessing most Chiefs fans would agree the offense wasn't good. He hasn't led a poor offense for several seasons. He's been to five Superbowls. Number six may very well be this season. The irony is that you're willing to latch on to a singular game for Mahomes to try and make your argument, but use two games as a means to say Hurts doesn't need help around him.

And don't help create turnovers. Those are all missing from the previous iterations of our defensive line.

People could try to defend Kuper, there was a reason why Minnesota let him go. They were one of the worst offensive lines for multiple years with him. He’s just not a good coach. Which is sad because I actually think if you got good coaching with Kendall and Bell, you could have them become viable starters in this league. I don’t think they’re gonna be Lane or Kelce. But I do think Kendall can be better than what Cam jurgens was. Bell can be a solid RT. Really need to address the guard position unless in the 1st a OT like seaton falls to us. I’d say goosby out of Texas, but he’s done for the year with an injury. So I don’t think they would take a chance on him that high DL is another story. Davis isn’t as great as some on here made him. He’s now overpaid on that contract. Carter is fine. Hint is also likely fine when healthy. They needed Greenard to be good and he’s been essentially malik Jackson 2.0. Ojomo is likely gone and smith i wouldn’t be surprised if he’s gone too.

Williams looks good with a good coach in Chicago and so does Purdy in SF, but outside of them I don't see many better that have come out the last 5 years. Daniels is always hurt and his team didn't even seem to care when he was laying on the ground. You have elite QBs which are rare and you have a lot of mid-levels who never do crap and a lot of bad ones. Hurts is in that middle range with the ability to elevate. As much as he drives me nuts and I wish they could snap their fingers and have someone better we've still been lucky.

The irony is that you're willing to latch on to a singular game for Mahomes, but use two games as a means to say Hurts doesn't need help around him.I mentioned back before the Super Bowl with the Chiefs. I said their offensive line from where he started to where they were at that point in time was the reason the eagles would win that Super Bowl. Remember it cause JR really likes the post. But when you look at when he started with the Chiefs to what it is now, and allowed it to go down the drain. They are better now than what they were at that Super Bowl. And I thought it was idiotic moving thuney to OT. You were better off having your interior offensive line intact. Be really good and helping your guys on the edges. Because you move guys around you then created problems at multiple positions. The issue with the Chiefs is two things, they won SB 57 because Gannon couldn’t figure out the second half along with some other factors to like a fumble that I’m not gonna go into. And the field helped that offensive line hold up against that past rush. Furthermore, they were able to win the next Super Bowl, because that defense was incredible. I would argue that was their best defense the entire time Patrick Mahomes was there. So the Chiefs, who weren’t great that year were able to win that Super Bowl because the defense allowed them to stay in games until the offense made enough place to win that Super Bowl. But the reality is the Chiefs problems are similar to what I’ve said in the past. You eventually were hurting your chances with mahomes to win with the offensive line, they have they need to get it back to at least above average. Furthermore, they didn’t have a running game with. They finally got walker. But their wide receivers are just not good. Besides rice, the rest of them are just guys. And the problem with rice is he never stays healthy and when he is healthy, he does stupid things off the field that gets suspended and not beyond the field. Even Patrick Mahomes needs better talent around him to maximize his talent.Imo the NFL there’s like one quarterback I think that could win with less and really elevate a team to being a contender. And that’s Josh Allen. Because currently that defense is giving up about 29 points per game. So basically he’s essentially playing with a bottom five defense in ppg. Their wide receivers are DJ Moore who’s not been consistently healthy this year. frankly people on here were saying last year that that he was cooked. Keon Coleman as their number two with Shakir who is a slot receiver who’s OK. Dalton Kincaid is essentially their Dallas goedert. Solid but perpetually hurt. Knox is at this point in his career, an ok number two tight end. And their offensive line is good it isn’t elite. Their offense is good so he really doesn’t have to carry them right now offensively. But he and the offense is completely carrying that defense. Because that defense has been terrible all year.

I think they’re also going to draft a guard at some point in time in the 2027. I wouldn’t be surprised if Quentin Nelson is a guy they targeting free agency as he’s a free agent at the end of the year. I probably wouldn’t do it cause I think the money is gonna be too rich for the age that he is. Then again we’ve seen an offensive lineman play into their mid 30s at a high level. So maybe he’s that type of guy.
