If I’m Ertz and they don’t put me on the 53, I asked them to let me go find a place where I can latch on that may be a contender. I don’t think he’ll do it and he’s on the practice squad so his agent can go looking around, but I’d rather go somewhere that might have a shot at a Super Bowl then just be stuck on a practice squad.

Crazy just a few weeks ago it was assumed he's get to the all time Eagles receptions leader and now it's going to be a struggle for 8 catches

I can only hope the fans boo the ever-loving crap out of Lurie tonight.

He's going to honor himself as one of the greatest owners a week after trying to murder his star QB. While the entire team goes silent on the details.

Wouldn't that mean that Nick is willing to do whatever they want? Doug said no and was fired. Seems like Nick is willing to say yes

And all Nick does is win

He certainly seems more flexible than Doug but that doesn't buy infinite job security. Someone has to take the fall for the piss poor offense over multiple years. Maybe it's Mannion but they can't keep doing this hire inexperienced OC's who suck and Nick does nothing to help.

I don't care how they do it, just win tonight. Do it for Lane, Jeffrey's induction and Jalen's recovery. The Cowboys lost to an undrafted rookie at home. I need Tanner to dig deep tonight and get this done. Defense, if you have to take over, so be it just get this done.

Probably should bet on Dallas

Agreed. There's been 2 constants and 1 has a more difficult contract to get out of

I know it's not looking good, we are on a 4 game losing streak and collapsing but I still believe the door isn't shut yet, I do not trust the Division and the Eagles could still win it but the next 3 weeks will tell us where we are going. Lose our, it's over, win out then the Division will be in grasp.

Wasn't that what the Mannion hire was supposed to be? Hindsight and all

We don't know the level of Nick's involvement. This does not look like the offense he was brought in to run. From what reporters have said it's not the offense they ran in the preseason. We heard he wouldn't have involvement last year and he got so involved offensively he tossed Jeff out the door as run coordinator. Is SM good? Doesn't look it but we also aren't seeing a product reflective of what they hired him for. Did he decide to come in and run something new or is Nick the problem as it appears?

Oh, rumors are Johnson and Hurts wanted to run a different kind of offense when he was here and Nick wanted something else. Another example of Nick getting involved. He's the common denominator

Just reading up on Evan Neal. He's a mauler who is bad in pass protection and may play better with a switch to guard. As an ex teammate, Barkley is vouching for this guy. Can take that for what it's worth. What if he's Becton and Dickerson is back? One can dream. You trade Steen and get this running game back to being viable. We also have Micah Morris as a mauler type. We may be a week or 2 away from this scenario. The interior line needs to get push at all costs.

I get trying to keep your fans informed as well as possible, and in a manner that is somewhat positive. As far as the NFL goes? Who cares as long as the organization is fulfilling the requirements set by the league. It's not like they have done anything detrimental to the league, I think the least amount you can say while still keeping fans informed and meeting any league requirements is the best way. A lot of fans, media types, etc. think they should have every detail when it comes to players, coaches, and even owners personal events/situations. They aren't owed anything, inform the fans as best you can without giving details regarding people's personal business and move on. Whether or not the fans accept that and move on is their business, but a true fan of an organization will always stand up for their team.

I don't think the NFL cares that much about the fans. It's more about the players, agents etc that have questions about everything and how it might affect them moving forward. You also have some senator making noise about it as well as being on national news last week. The NFL cares about money first, second and third. And if there is bad press around the entire situation you have to wonder how it affects the bottom dollar with everything.

He's been a guard in New York and just in Vegas. His problem seems to be he's just not into football. I don't see the coaching staff in place to get him motivated to being anything but a high draft pick bust. He reminds me more of Chance Warmack than Mekhi Becton.

I think Nick/Hurts kept the hitch routes. I'm sure I look biased but I think it's Hurts that wants the hitch routes considering he's the one throwing. There is a lot more motion than before. Doesn't really seem like any timing throws

People said Hurts doesn't throw in the middle of the field and we saw that the first two games. I think he's adaptable. We can all debate who should go but I haven't seen any strong arguments to keeping Nick. He brings nothing but vibes and inflatable bunnies. He can't help offensively when things look bad. He seems to constantly get in the way. He forced out the best OL coach in history and this year he cost them two games because of his decisions. He's a clown.

Hurts won't be a factor past a year or two, so his exit is on the horizon. Nick needs to go first. If Hurts looks better next year with a new mind, great. If not he's on his way out anyway.

I agree. He's a long shot. Giants fans can't stand the guy. And call him a bust. Those same NY fans did that to Becton too. Ultimate reclamation project. Had 80 PFF run block rating for 2024 season. Maybe they can tap into this. He's gonna be bad in pass protection most likely, which is the caveat. Quick release with McKee could hide that weakness though. They have to be able to hang their hat on something. I'm fishing..

Pretty sure it was that he either doesn't like to or doesn't want to because his numbers in the middle are good. He may just be more comfortable not doing it. Nick has hammered into his mind to not turnover the ball

Nick will take the blame always but I'm not certain it's actually him. He's just the punching bag for fans and media

How many OCs have we been through since 22? If the rumors are true that Johnson and Hurts wanted something different then how is it not on him? How is it not on him Jeff went out the door? How is the inflatable bunny not on him? Now we have an offense that doesn't look like what SM was hired to do or what it looked like in the preseason. How is that not on him? How are the Rams and Jags loses not on him? He's a punching bag because he's deserved it.

Jeff went out the door because his system didn't fit the new offense. Also the Oline and run game in 2025 was not good

Also the OCs is because some were fired and some were hired as HCs for other teams. One would think losing a OC to a HC position would be a good thing

Just now, Mike030270 said:

That's BS. Do some research. He was out the door because Nick stripped him of his run duties and there were issues that carried over after that. To your last point he's the greatest OL coach in NFL history. Even if it wasn't good for one season the guy gets a pass after developing and coaching the best OLs the Eagles have ever seen.

No crap. Two left and 3 others have epically sucked. He has a losing record. Now, did the others suck in part because of him? Probably.

If you're a CEO coach where you're not calling plays and your time isn't preoccupied with offensive and defensive strategy, you should be extremely efficient in the situational awareness during the game, decision-making, and overall game management. I don't think Nick excels proficiently well in any of these, and that's when you ask yourself "Well, what does he do?". He's supposed to be in charge of the vibes and culture, but this team has been clouded by controversy and drama for four straight seasons now. Part of that is just being a sports franchise in Philadelphia where everyone in the media is out for blood, but it's been something with this team every year including one where they actually won a Super Bowl.

If someone is asking me the question what does Nick do really well right now, I don't think I have an answer.

Like I said do your research. Run a Boolean in here it was posted in the last few weeks. On another note people can call BG a gossip machine but the guy said the team wanted KM over Nick after the SB. He brings nothing.

Don't do this if you have kids in your car

I don’t disagree but facts are facts. The guy won a Super Bowl and has been to another. I also don’t recall too many players bad mouthing him or throwing him under the bus. Not like they did Chip anyway.

If the offense blows again tonight (likely it will) just fire Mannion and let Siri be in charge of the offense for the rest the season. If he wants to delegate play calling then whatever. But he’s definitely earned that and at 2-5 there’s nothing to lose.
