So, who is every bodies team they wouldn't mind seeing win it since we're out of it.

The only team I want to see win it besides us is probably the Lions. I'm guessing that's probably a popular pick. Respect to Campbell and that fan base.

Lately mine is Lions. I'm still annoyed by the hypocrisy of teams that voted to ban the sneak only to keep using it (looking at you Bills!!). Otherwise it'd probably be Bills, Steelers, or Bengals because Allen, Rodgers, and Burrow are fun to watch

In hindsight, would have traded Davis and re-signed Moro. Oh well.

Q gets huge contract, DeJean gets the next level down one, and how about the other young D player, Hunt. Wonder what his price is. Blah season from him.

Greenard, UGH, just trade him for whatever. It’s always an awesome look when the team you left says "buy bye. We are better off without you”. ❤️

Too early into the season for me to pick a team yet. My AFC team has always been the Dolphins, but, yeah, that hasn’t worked out since the movie Ace Ventura came out. 🦅🐬

I honestly expected him to be laying down in the fetal position in the pic

@vikas83 @LeanMeanGM and whoever else is good with cap

Can we trade Davis?

I'd keep Ojomo and trade the rest of the DL. Every one of those guys have gotten worse since 2024. And the one guy who gets better you lose for a 4th rounder? Bad idea. That 4th rounder is probably a 4th/5th DT on an average year.

Yes, but I'd be shocked if we did for a few reasons. It's not a super attractive contract for an acquiring team, and I'm not sure Howie would move off him that quickly.

By the numbers, we paid him $19.285 million in bonuses this year (signing and workout), so that's what we need to charge. Trading him now would put ~$4.4mm on this year (small savings by moving balance of his salary) and the balance of ~$15.4 million of dead money on the 2027 cap. However, you'd need a new team to absorb the remaining ~$45 million in practical guarantees - $18.4mm in 2027 comp guaranteed now, $25.5 million in 2028 triggers on 3rd day of 2027 league year.

Dejean is a slot. They get paid alot less. He is 2 tiers below Q right now.

I would take this with a grain of salt. He’s going to be listed as questionable per Vrabel

AJ Brown breaking down with a known knee degenerative issue. Shocked! Damaged goods. Nice to be on this side of that ledger. I thought he was gonna scam the Patriots into an extension right after he signed. Probably got injured too fast. So they did dodge that bullet at least...

Or, you know, just don’t play

Players wanting to play isn't new. The coaches need to protect him from himself.

Barkley at practice gives a better look to his health status than not being at practice. Of course, if you are smart, you hold him back so you can keep the option to trade him in the next 2 weeks to some desperate team like the Vikings. Playing him and rushing him back early is moronic anyway in this lost season.

Howie is too proud to move off him that quickly

Has to be Howie playing hardball. No way they are planning on dumping more money into DT unless they are only planning on keeping Quinyon and not Cooper.

They will have the $ with not paying Hurts and extention and send his tush packing

He is ALL over the place in the back end. So, who really knows what or how he will end up getting paid. Slot, Safety, CB, he might end up trying to get paid for playing all 3 positions. 😆😆

It's the opposite - moving off Hurts would make resigning Ojomo harder due to the dead cap.

Let's figure out how he can become a good slot CB again first. He is not an outside CB. And safety is not even looking good. As of now, no contract this offseason unless it's for some crazy good deal.

Lions or Bills

The way Howie structures deals he can make Ojomo almost free next year on the cap while paying the dead cap on Hurts

He can easily make it work. We all know salary cap is a myth and can be structured anyway they want to make it fit Within the guidelines

Davis was a beast last year but hes been non existent this year.

He's been very visible though. Eating a box of twinkies a day this offseason.

Davis had one good season. Credit to him for doing it in a contract year, but I think he' the worst of the Milton Williams, Moro Ojomo, Jordan Davis trio. In that order. I think they didn't want to let go of him because they spent a 1st on him and also the size and athletic upside, but he just impacts a game far less frequently than the other two and I think they made a mistake choosing him to be the one they extend alongside Carter.

And I think they also thought he'd be like a big brother to Carter and look out for him and Carter isn't having that breakout season many hoped so even that isn't working out as planned.
