Roob is on TV saying he didnt expect Hurts to look this comfortable in the offense. He was poised, comfortable, and confident.

lol.

Hurts wasn’t the problem on offense today. He also made plays at key times. He had problems but he was not at fault for the protection and run game. Give him a working running game or better pass protection and they wine easily.

Whoever said it felt like 2023 nailed it. Every game was like that, until they finally imploded. I am optimistic though, take away the LOS plays and get dickerson off the field and they should look better

I got this skeleton for Halloween the other day. Till its time to put him outside, I've been putting him in funny places inside the house the past few days. The kids are having fun with it.

Today I dressed him up for the game.

This is how I felt watching the offense.

Looks just like Coop today.

Dickerson looks cooked and the Jurgen’s penalties were killers. Bigsby needs more carries. Coop didn’t have his best game and defense gave up too many running lanes in the 2nd half. Skins O-line looked better than ours, certainly in the run game. Hurts played well. But haters will hate.

Happy for the win. Most issues are correctable. Dickerson is biggest concern. Might need to make a move there.

Final Eaglrs-Commanders Game Score Prediction Results

It was a nail biter rather than a walk on the beach, but when all the dust settled, this week's chicken dinner winner is ...

... a three-way tie between @Asg 15 (24-21), @Wallyhorse (also 24-21), and @Shalodeep (24-23). @aptosbird was close behind with his 17-15 prediction

It was a very thin week for Bonus picks. Only three were correct:

@FranklinFldEBUpper with "Eagles trail at some point in the first half"

@Talonblood with "Barkley breaks a 40+ yard run." and

@BDawk_ASamuel with "Wicks TD"

We had an all-time high of 102 predictions submitted with 99 for an Eagles win and 3 for a Commies win. The average predicted score was Eagles 28 Commies 14.

Here is the final list of the 102 predictions and bonuses:

Well, we all expected growing pains with a new offense. But not being able to pick up a 1st down for most of the game is probably MUCH worse than we should have been expecting to see.

Im finding it difficult to find reason for optimism with the offense next week. We have 3 explosive plays and absolutely nothing else.

It NEVER looked like it was building momentum, and coming together, like they were about to put a drive together. Not once all game.

Sustained drive of 8 plays, 64 yards, for 3 minutes 57 seconds.

Hurts now 203 yards, 3 passing TDs, 122.1 passer rating.

Totally.

Except of course the last 2 scoring drives.

AJ wouldve been reading his book by the second quarter today and then cried in the post-game lmao

Baun is the best Eagles LB in a VERY long time. He had an outstanding game.

Hurts spend more time rescuing the offense today than running it. To be clear, that’s a critique of the surrounding personnel, not Hurts. There were no sustained drives with consecutive completions, well executed timing, etc.

(The breakdowns preventing those things weren’t on Hurts btw)

But a couple nice deep shots, multiple tuck and runs to save drives, running for his life…improvising and saving an ineffective offense is actually more his game. Dropping back and distributing and identifying multiple open targets to maximize their significant talent..that’s where we all get mad at Hurts and say he holds the offense back. But this offense can’t do that.

offense is still not capable of putting drives together & owning the time of possession…just like last season.

Running game was the biggest surprise imo. Saquon still getting hit in the backfield blocking suspect. The Olike looked bad at times. Landon Dickerson struggled lane missed a few blocks.

Hopefully they get back on track. Week one rust? I sure hope so.

Part of Nick’s legacy when it’s all said and done here is that he was the anti-Andy Reid. He wins games that Reid’s teams never could. Another one in the column for that description today.

Easily the best since Seth Joyner.

Unless they get ravaged by injuries, Fangio and the defense won’t let 2023 happen. Desai’s defense imploded that year.

Baun was the Eagles best player on defense by a wide margin. He played a fantastic game. Dejean was the weak link today; I thought sure it would be Epps. Diggs was a tough matchup but there were other players getting catches against him as well.

Offense needs to do a better job of sustaining drives and the inability to do so caused the defense to tire in the second half from the humidity. They were mush-rushing Daniels to keep him under wraps, and doing a really good job but they were on the field too much.

Hurts made excellent throws to Wicks and Goedert in the first half, I think he struck the right balance in making plays with his legs when needed, but he has to get better at keeping his eyes up after his first read is taken away. Too many offensive plays broke down after the first look.

OL still not opening enough holes in the run game, Jurgens and Mailata taking dumb penalties, and not enough Bigsby again.

A win is a win, and onward against a team that just lost to the Jets at home by multiple scores.

Jalen Hurts joined Hall of Famers Johnny Unitas and Roger Staubach by winning his sixth consecutive Week 1 season opener as a starting quarterback following the Philadelphia Eagles' 24–22 win over the Washington Commanders on September 13, Keep the Main thing, the Main thing people. 6-0 is in home openers doesn't happen often. We've had the same coach, QB and a few other players through it all (devonta etc). very please this team always starts the year strong.

Everyone gushing over the bears scoring 59 and not commenting on giving up close to a 40 burger to frickin Carolina.

Jeremiah Trotter?

Sign Mekhi Becton.

Go Giants. Bleh.

Sidenote, Carrie still gorgeous.

I think he's better than Trotter.

I was pleasantly surprised by Mukuba. Cooper should be left alone to be the best slot DB in the NFL.
Baun was fantastic. Campbell was up and down. Carter flashed special abilities again. Davis was pretty good. Too many rushing yards to say that either was great, but they had great moments. Getting home against Daniels is hard. Has been since he entered the league. Nothing new there. And Vic defenses struggle against the mobile QBs... but generally speaking, most DCs do. They are very unpredictable.

He made a handful of plays. He did not make any routine plays. The offense had nothing outside of the 3 explosives, and 2 or 3 hurts scrambles.

OL was an issue. Hurts wasnt the only issue. But hes the QB and is responsible for making it more efficient by making more routine throws. Passes were called. He only threw 25 times and only completed 56% today. Its not nearly good enough.

Trotter was much more one dimensional. He was a great run defender, but he was a major liability in the passing game. So much so that JJ would just send him at the QB a lot. Baun can stop the run, blitz and play the pass. All around great LB.

I’m here very rarely and every comment I see of yours is spouting the same non-sense on Hurts. Hurts wasn’t the issue. If you categorize Hurts as an issue tonight you’re a troll, there’s absolutely no getting around it.
