October 4Oct 4 I think Mannion has some aptitude but is in a really tough spot as he’s learning on the fly. In a more established system, he might thrive. Maybe he’s garbage but I’m not there yet. Nick on the other hand, he’s got to go. He’s been carried and there’s nobody left to carry him. Smarter coaching and I think there’s certainly an improved chance we win today. He’s exposed.
October 4Oct 4 2-2 isn’t what pisses me off. It’s how we got here. Two straight embarrassing losses in completely different ways. Last week we got thoroughly outplayed. Today we were up 20-10, the defense handed us two turnovers, and we somehow scored ZERO points in the second half and lost. Injuries obviously didn’t help, but they don’t excuse an offense looking this bad.I’ve been trying to give Mannion some time because he’s a first-year playcaller, but how much longer does that grace period last? I’m not saying fire the guy four games in, but I need to start seeing some improvement pretty damn soon. The same stuff keeps not working and we keep doing it anyway. At some point, being new stops being a good enough answer.

October 4Oct 4 The future looks bleak without any sort of plan at QB. We can't turn our OC position into a revolving door. Tanner is probably not the answer. Hurts just cannot handle any sort of pressure. You can see how blatantly lost he looks on every blitz. His movement in the pocket is awful. His vision is awful. He gets flustered way too easily unless his Oline is playing perfect. I like the guy, but gd every year it's the same mistakes and everyone keeps blaming someone else. Herbert played well until this season and he's getting completely reamed. I don't like Nicks decisions, and the OC is still settling in, but at some point all fingers point to the position that has been consistent. He can have a good game, but it almost feels like it takes everyone else having to be perfect.
