They were blitzing and applying pressure. Fangio said oh wait we’re stopping people? Time to change it up.

I got to grind some tape on the all-22 before I could comment, got to give credit to that Rams offense that didn’t give up on themselves and their defense that kept giving them chances. Got the Jacksonville Jaguars next week, they’re the focus now.

I’ll be turning 60 years old in just over a month and my sister sent a family text a few days ago asking if anyone knew if our childhood home was still standing. I’ve thought about going back to see i

I expected a loss today... they got to 20-10 with the ball first and goal. And then... they decided to crap the bed on the goal line. And came away with zero points. 23 probably doesn't matter... but at the same time, getting 0 points was bad. But, tell me why they went for it on 4th down at midfield at the end of the game? Just punt and make the Rams go the length of the field. The team looked like crap all day, but Sirianni's game management is brutally bad. He decides to go for it like a 12 year old playing Madden.

I'm not on the fire Mannion wagon yet. Guys are open on pass plays. The design is mostly there, his playcalling sucks because its his first time doing it. But hurts is not the QB for this offense, which sirianni should have recognize before he hired him but he's a Fing idiot so

Let’s see a breakdown of how he was good enough to win the game. I’ll wait.

Two touchdowns and had the team in position to go up by 13 points in the 4th quarter. Then we had a botched handoff (coaching) then a terrible passing play that had no chance (coaching)

After struggling in short yardage and critical situations all game, Nick decided he was going to impress everyone by ignoring the fact that you needs points to win. No, this was about manhood.

LMFAO WHAT

You have to be trolling if you're blaming the defense, who forced 2 turnovers and is the only reason this limp D offense scored at all, for that loss.

The defense choked. Again.

The offense was also really bad, but the defense collapsed with a 10 pt lead.

Greenard is disappointing asf

i’m not really shocked. He can’t stay healthy. In the last four years, he’s missed 16 games. He’s already missed two this year. It’s why when they made that trade, I said I don’t really love it. He’s 29 years old, it’s coming off an injury, he’s had durability concerns in the past and you had to give him an extension. He might be a really good player when he plays, but were a bunch of red flags. I didn’t even mention when Brian Flores is OK trading you the should probably sit there and be like why does he not want him or to pay him?

I said he payed good enough to win, which he did. I didnt say he played "good" which isn't even correct English

Just admit you can't read "good" and move on

Wtf are you even going on about 🤣. Still waiting for your detailed breakdown on him being ‘good’ enough. Hope you ‘payed’ your bill for all 22 and take a few days off work because you’ll need it.

The Jaguars are going to skull F this team. Coen is about to rape this defense

It wasn’t the 3pts lost, it was the momentum - gave a reason to Rams to be excited.

The offense sucks. We know Hurts will ant someone who will elevate an offense. The WR corps we trotted out there are a basically bottom five in the NFL. The OL is meh at best. The first-time playcaller didn’t do a whole lot to make things easy for the QB, who isn’t good enough to overcome it.

What can we actually take away from the game?

You can accuse me of grading on a curve, but the offense was good enough to get the defense a 10-point lead in the fourth quarter and put the Rams in two long fields to win the game. Yes, they failed to get the dagger, but does anybody he actually think the defense would have held on of the offense scored 23 points? Of course not. The defense utterly failed. There is no getting around it.

I said he played well enough to win and you don't understand what that means. That's what's happening here

On defense, the guys who needed to emerge haven’t. Campbell is ass. Mukuba is hit or (mostly) miss. Jalyx Hunt is apparently just a practice player, can’t finish. Trotter and Nolan flashed way more than the guys they’re supposed to be worse than

Brother. Cooper made basically catch of the year on a duck bailing him out. He managed not to miss a wide open cooper again later. Both coming off turn overs.

Also, damn Siri and mannion for coming on the field and forcing hurts to not field a snap cleanly.

The defense is the reason this game was even close lmfao I cannot believe what i'm reading in here.

Don't bother replying i'm not entertaining anyone blaming the defense for this loss

Campbell is a bust

Yep and after all those struggles Nick decided to pass the ball on 4th down instead of taking 3 points

It's indefensible.

Doesn’t help mannion that sirianni has no clue about this offense. It wasn’t his background so it’s basically all on him as a 1st year OC. I would further add into this Sirianni has only won at a consistent level when he’s had a stacked roster. This roster is not stacked anymore and you’re seeing he is not good enough as a coach to elevate the team to success. They’re not a good team when he doesn’t have the talent that can overcome his ineptitude. In 2024 he was super lucky they had an elite offensive line, elite running game, elite defense because the passing game all year was sporadic. He never really fixed that and hurts played out of his mind in the SB. But really was still sporadic all season. It was inconsistent and frankly it’s been downhill in every way on offense

Hurts is who he is. Without a strong running game, he’s not going to be good. However, we’re not finding anyone better than him this year nor next year so you better get that OL fixed.

I think this is right which means he's not worth 40 million. I think you can find a lot of QBs that could be successful with a good running game, a Kirk cousins type.

Hurts has maxed out. No new contract please and thank you.

0/12 on 3rd down is unacceptable.

The offense was 0-12 on third down!!! Holy ish this is ridiculous. So in your opinion when does the offense get blamed for a loss? Never? Because the defense will always give up the winning score

The defense is allowed to make a stop at the end of the game. They failed twice.

It’s not like the offense has no share of the blame, but the bottom line is the defense blew a 10-point lead, giving up 98 and 75 yard TD drives.

They should be expected to hold nfl teams to less than 20pts every week, right?

Nah what is happening is you’re digging your heels on a ridiculous claim and now trying to play semantics. Hurts did not do really anything good enough today to win a game. Stats show it. Tape will show it. Common sense shows it. Just stop. Siri just happened to be worse than him and the D got tired.

We thought the Rams would do the same. Instead they just skull f'ed them the last 5 minutes.
