What do the dead cap hits on Dickerson and Jurgens look like?

Jurgens is basically unmovable - ~30mm dead cap as all of 2026 gteed.

Dickerson is ~23mm, but save 5.5mm next year with post June 1 cut since he gave up gtees this offseason.

That’s true. But I feel like if he honestly had plans to bench Jurgens or was at least thinking about it, he wouldn’t come out publicly and say "we have no plans to bench Jurgens”. I would assume he would dance around that question with coach speak and say some bland crap like "we evaluate all players week to week and put everyone in the best position to succeed”. Saying we have "no plans to bench him” and then if they end up benching him is an even dumber move on his part and a bad look in general

Said same thing on Dickerson, and then Landon went on IR the next day. Nick will NEVER publicly criticize a player.

The next question is who replaces him? Carr? Mestemaker? Sayin? Mensah? Because unless you go Watson or Fields that's the direction they'd have to go. That's also a pick they can't use for a guard or CB2 with Riq probably leaving. Build the OL, get a good coach, and he's proven he can win. I'm all for replacing him, but they still have a core in place that can win. I'd rather not be 2-3 years away again.

Mestemaker but I don’t think he should/would come out until 2028. They could bring in a bridge QB in 2027, rebuild, and set the table schematically for the following year. Bringing a rookie into this mess, might not be the way.

Hard to say who's going to replace him in the draft when we're only 4 weeks in. It's a pretty good class. I would love Chambliss but I doubt we will get him. He'll probably be the 2nd qb off the board after Moore

Where are the holes on the team right now?

Offense:

LG, TE, RG (if Steen walks)

Defense:

Edge, S, CB2 when Riq leaves

Every team has holes, but that's not a ton. They have a C and RT in place. Morris or Majors could be a guard as well we'll have to see. Why are people rushing to knock it all down and rebuild vs fixing the line? Will they need to replace him in 2-3 years? Probably, but they still have a ton of talent most teams wish they had. Biggest issue after the OL is the coach is a total idiot.

If they go QB round one or two then either guard or CB2 gets kicked down the line. Unless someone falls in their laps I'd rather go some mix of CB, G, TE in the first three rounds.

Please do it, CJ. For once, it’s okay to be the smaller man.

Great. Another year of Jurgens

I really hope y’all are right. Jurgens needs to go

while this is true, it’s amazing the homers that hyped up those two when that was what we had. I insisted to everyone that Fulgham was absolutely horrible regardless of what happened in 2 games.

Saying that we have a RT in place is a general reflection the basis of the optimism for the rest of that assessment.

We don't have a center either, right?

Something to dig in to, but not put out there in the media looking to stir up controversy. Its very possible he also had a personal issue and needed to get somewhere. Or, he could have been going to be with Lane. There are reasons. Is this a weekly thing? Then its a story.

we heard bad things about the hire. Then we heard that Fangio picked this guy so we all were like, oh ok then he must be good.

He wanted to get right over to the Novacare to grind the tape.

They just spent a 2nd rd on Stowers. G will be addressed within the first 2 picks. S and DE is more of a need then TE and CB imo. I'm not downplaying the CB2 spot, but S is in desperate need of a fix

I’d like to point out i said he wasn’t good with the Vikings to the point they didn’t want him back. i didn’t like moving on for stoutland for a guy with a bad track record. Don’t think it’s entirely his fault but i also think he’s a coach that sticks in the league even though he’s just lousy at his job

Agree, but who is CB2 when Riq walks? But S and DE are important, which makes it hard for me to push either for a QB. I get everyone hates Hurts but I don't see a need to use a high pick to replace him next draft.

So many of the college QBs are runners. Like is Sellers going to be a better passer than Hurts? I dont know...

Im very interested in trading for someone like Stetson Bennett since the Rams seem to hate him and he is awesome every time he gets to play. Find a guy like that.

Wish we drafted Nussmeier this year...

Our interior OL personnel is atrocious right now. I don’t think anyone could argue that coaching is why Jurgens looks like this.

Think this line can be almost athletic if you can get Lampkin in there. It's clear as day. Jurgens can't move laterally. He's easy to fake out of his shoes right now. He looks like he's catching ghosts when he's out there. It's pretty comedic, if it wasn't our Eagles. Howie has to sit this guy and will just have to become a very expensive backup Center for now. Which is the only position he should ever play if he ever comes back on the field. How did they think that, yeah, this player is a guy who could stick with the OZ? He's just not mobile. This could be one of Mannion's beefs right now. That Sirianni is just not giving him the ingredients he needs to run his system. That's where he still has his nose in this, if he's still tied to Jurgens.

Did we ever learn what CJGJ said to get ejected from the game while he was with us ? He hasn’t changed at all. Still running his mouth , after a loss while being the one to give up the game winning catch. Says he’s not going to provide bb material as an opening statement to his bb material. He has no control over his own off button. He can make plays on the field sometimes but he’s not worth it in my opinion, just an annoying person.

Today shouldn't shock me, but it's funny how it turned into we need to replace Hurts and go into rebuild mode. What?

The point of drafting a QB high is to get a guy who can win a SB. He may not be ideal but they already have one. Same guy who played better than Mahomes twice. What an overreaction.

He needs a good team around him the same as Allen who hasn't won anything. That's not a flaw.
