He was shouting from the mountain tops all offseason how much better the offense would be this season because of his ESP esque contrarian agenda against AJ Brown. It's almost like the offense sucked for a billion reasons aside from just AJ Brown and losing him didn't make anything better. Give him some time to accept this during this difficult time. Must be a hard pill to swallow being that wrong.

LOL. You've been wrong on so many things it's silly. I'm not gonna even start there. And as of now the offense sucks. But are you rational enough to understand why or would you rather just be right after 5 games? MR. MOST ACCURATE REPORTER. 🤣 You can't be taken seriously once you plant social media on here and are wrong everywhere. LMAO

I said everything. You can't read. My fault. You want to read and skim and say gotcha. You are bad with details. Very obvious. Have a good day lad!

Nope. I don’t need your rhetoric. I don’t need you to explain Hurts’ contract.

In the scenario that this offense doesn’t turn it around, are you extending Hurts in the offseason? Answer. You know the answer. I want to hear you say it.

I will say it when I effin want to and a reasonable time, not when you want it on call. I told you to scram lil peasant.

That's what I said about Sirianni. Fair to ask that for Hurts discussion. But I wouldn't say that stating he shouldn't be the guy going forward is not showing a shred of respect.

Ok so what’s "going forward”?. Next week or next year? Right now, I’d be shocked if he’s not the guy starting the season in 2027. In 2028… I’d say probably unlikely he’s our guy.

But I don’t like to plan that far ahead… you can ask my girlfriend of 3 years 😬

will greenard actually do anything this season? remains to be seen but not looking like a good signing.

No. Not really. If he makes it clear that McKee is his clear backup, his trade value is higher. He actually effed up the guy's value that was way higher than Dalton's. Dalton cost a late 7th rounder. If McKee was all of that he's your backup this year from jump. You don't risk games to fetch a late 7th rounder. He gets that in his sleep on draft draft day.

Howie wanted his acquisition to be a success, so they made him the backup. Watching the preseason games he was as bad if not worse than Mckee. The fact they moved immediately off of him after the interception really tells you all you need to know. If he was really that much better than Mckee, or if Mckee was really that bad, he would still be here as the backup. Instead, he got cut.

Good. So we’ve established you can’t say the sky is blue when evaluating Hurts. Thank you for making this clear.

The true problem in here is the haters have been wrong...for so long.. about Hurts I.e. check that Superbowl ring out and Superbowl appearance and win percentage. It reeks of desperation to be right and to save face. They are like roaches they will keep at it until they are right one day. Maybe when he's an old hag. Who knows?! In the meantime, dude on the precipice of the hall of fame while you losers got egg on your face. 🤣 As of now all of you haters are wrong and are still wrong. Let's not put the cart in front of the horse.

Dalton is an afterhought. And 39 year old scrub that landed a late 7th rounder. Who cares about his value? McKee is nothing and has been here 4 years and beat 2 of the worst scrub teams you've seen in awhile. And yeah alot of peeple here crowned him. Some people don't realize what they have here. And have been pretty bad at evaluating QBs. Can go down the line. Each guy was the next Hurts replacement. Fools!

Neither next week nor next year. They are stuck with the contract through next year and the next qb would come through the draft. Theres nothing to debate or gain from benching him or cutting him in the offseason. Those are not real options.

The decision points are extend or not in the offseason and to draft a qb or not under the assumption one they like is on the board in April.

It’s basically the emotional and intellectual decision to look beyond Hurts now and move off him eventually. It’s irrelevant to what they do in the balance of the season…that’s Hurts.

I would love the data on teams starting from their own 35 with no timeouts and 8 seconds since 2024 and how many of those teams won the game? I am guessing it is likely the same. So that means other factors have to come to play. The other factors were you were down one of your best special teams player. You’ve had multiple guys on special teams that hadn’t played kickoff. Return prior where they gave up a long kickoff return. early in the game that was fortunately called back due to a holding penalty (questionable cause they’ve not called stuff like that and let it go).

I look at it this way, neither one of them were highly probable to end the way it did. So other factors with their kickoff unit that should’ve weighed and you doing the way that you did. Again, who do you trust more, the kickoff unit with multiple new guys on it and gave up along return earlier in this game or your defense who had been pretty good all game to it allow a 15-20 yard pass to be caught and get out of bounds and has one of the best defensive coaches in the league? I’m gonna trust my defense.

You guys realize this team is actually run by Howie Roseman right?

If this offense were just destined for steady improvement with the QB and new OC combo....and Siri's meddling was THE reason the offense looks the same...you really think Howie would just allow it?

He would step in...just as he did in the offseason...and separate Nick from the offense. He'd fire him if it came to it. Howie doesn't care how things look. You really think he's just sitting on his hands fantasizing about offseason trades while Sirianni sabotages the offense?

I'm telling you...you guys are pinning a double homicide on a guy that's been locked up for the last 6 months.

No, surely the most powerful GM besides...I guess the Packers one since no owner, would sit there, hear a plan to try an entirely different offense, and sit there and let it be sabotaged the entire time. I think if that's the case, then Howie and Lurie are just as culpable, are they not?

But reason doesn't have any place in the Eagles fandom, I'm sorry to say.

The true problem is everyone is so dug in there can never be an honest conversation

I'm not saying to bench him. And, no, he's not giving us a shot right now. Their second half offense and 3 game losing streak dispute that.

I'm just saying to NOT extend him and to draft a QB as soon as the right one presents himself, be it 2027 or 2028.

If things continue at the current rate, the team needs to plan to be able to move on from Hurts. There is not an insignifcant chance that the team thinks Sirianni needs to go as well. I think ultimately the question becomes whether both sides would be better off punting on the decision for 2027. There is a scenario where Hurts forces a trade because the Eagles will not engage in a meaningful extension discussion. I am not sure about Hurt's contract but I think he is very tradeable post June 1. Howie would definitely consider a trade. His cap number isn't terrible for 2027. I am sure there are teams that would sign him to an extension. Houston is in a similar situation with Stroud. Stroud wouldn't agree to an extension in the 50 million range. I think Hurts would agree to an extension in that range. The problem would be getting Stroud to agree to the trade without agreeing to an extension. I would guess the Eagles could facilitate that by agreeing not to tag him. This would give them a free look at a new QB and still have resources to draft a new QB in 2028.

No. I'm not dumping him for the the next Tanner McKee, Carson Strong or anyone. When I see a worthy replacement I will have an open mind and consider it. See nothing yet.

That’s not what we are discussing, as I have made very clear. I asked you an extremely simple and narrow question which you will not answer. Say it.

You mean we're wrong about Eli Manning?

When Frankie Luvu lit up Hurts in a pile and he missed games with concussion, that was the moment his running started to fall of a cliff. I am not blaming Hurts at all for taking care of himself but ever since, the player and team have made sure to keep Jalen safe. But the impact has been limiting a strength of his.

Yeah, I mentioned that when I posted some of the information about him rushing left. That really seems to be the line of demarcation of when he started not wanting to run as much. And I get it. He got a bad concussion. Add-on he had been getting banged up at the end of years through that point. He probably doesn’t wanna run as much for his health and also realizes he’s not gonna get us banged up and be there at the end if he doesn’t. However, the problem is, he needs that running ability to maximize his skillset

I am heading out golfing. Catchya. While you waste your precious hours here of stupid hypothetical sheet that is not needing resolution for awhile.
