Not sure where you saw a TD favorite. Everything I saw had Eagles open -1.5

I’ll be turning 60 years old in just over a month and my sister sent a family text a few days ago asking if anyone knew if our childhood home was still standing. I’ve thought about going back to see i

I think the Eagles can win against the Panthers this week but it'll come down to the O-line play. It's still the biggest Achilles heel on this team. Oh yeah, and Sirianni can't get in the way again or they're done. He's such a dummy.

Nevermind.

I just saw Hurts is out due to a blood clot. Probably his calf injury.

Yeah, pack this one in. I don't see Tanner having enough success with that O-line. I'll be totally surprised if the Offense gets on a roll this week.

As a Longhorn fan:

He got size, mobility and a great arm.

But he processes slowly, locks onto his first WR too often and forces plays.

I'd advise him to stay one more year (he's making million in college) and work on his reads and learning to be more of a game manager.

Right now he's more Vince Young than Colt McCoy, which is fine for college football but won't work at the next level.

More Vince Young than McCoy? That would be a good thing though wouldn’t it at the next level?

One was 11-25…the other was 31-19, OROTY, Pro Bowler and took a Jim Fisher led team to the playoffs…JIM FRIGUN FISHER.

Youre spot on about Arch though…he’s got a lot to learn. The plan was to always do all 4 years, progress and grow and enter the draft.

Yea that’s now. I’m saying I never saw the Eagles being a TD favorite. Unless it was future odds before the season started

Coordinator? Is he still in decent shape? We need a QB, brother. If Rivers can do it, why not BDN? Plus it'll drive RTK up a wall if he comes in and wins in spot duty, so that's always fun.

He could do both at the same time.

Seeing Herbert/Eagles trade tossed around on facebook crap sites.

I wish the contract wasnt impossible to absorb because if he has damaged his value enough yet, a mid round pick would be so worth the entertainment value it would provide to see the Herbert Haterz whine every week about him sucking here.

The fantasy crowd has faith, Tanner McKee projected to be the 20th highest scoring QB this week.

Improvements, love it

That's lower than Jalen's fantasy rank this season.

What we are now talking about, is an embolism.

Because it moved somewhat? They didn't say how far or that it caused any other issues or pain.

Just woke up to the Hurts news and haven't sifted through multiple pages of posts so I'm sure it was said, but Hurts is likely going to be out for multiple week if not months.

yes because it moved.

Otherwise, a run of the mill contusion, is also "a clot" so no big deal obviously when someone has a bruise from a cleat.

Now that it moved = embolism = dangerous.

Sounds like it did not cause any issues or pain. There is nothing in their statement about him reporting any further issue after he initially presented following the rams game. Weeks have passed. He also played in a game, and days passed following that as well, without him complaining of redness, swelling, or additional pain.

It sounds like they just decided to ultrasound it, just because. As they said out of an "abundance of caution."

So at no point was this a known embolism. Until they found what they found today. That is, if today's statement is 100% truthful.

I watched him beat a very good Utah defense his last year with the Ducks. He's not that guy anymore. He is a motorboatin' son of a b now and you can't blame him, but he's going to still cost a few firsts. Didn't we live through having a talented but mentally checked out guy already? Let's not be the Colts. I'm not loving the idea of a rookie but I'd take my chances there for a lot less in terms of cost and baggage.

Phillies are chokers again, Eagles are the walking wounded. What are the Flyers like right now?

The most Eagles thing that could happen is that McKee rips off 3-4 straight wins creating a controversy as far as what to do when Hurts gets healthy. So I’m going to assume that happens.

If Tanner throws for 300 yards and 2 TD's this week, Jalen will be back for week 6.

Sirianni doesn't want to lose the competitive advantage over the team by letting them know too early. He doesn't want them to have extra time to prepare for the game.

RapSheet reporting Hurts out "indefinitely" but I don't think they know that yet?

There would be 0 expectation of a good QB. Its for nothing but entertainment value in the blog. Even if his draft compensation becomes affordable, the contract isnt. So, wont happen. Would be hilarious though.

Carr I like.

Chambliss, Mensah and Moore are really good at throwing screens…look slow at reading and going through the field. All have mechanics that piss me off or something seems off. Chambliss is old as dirt and now that it looks like Nix is fading back to normalcy (though he could be an outlier), I’m ok with not taking a dude at an age that most QBs are getting extensions at.

I am liking Austin Simmons. No clue if he’ll enter the draft, but I really like his skill set. Good size at 6’4” 220, blue chip arm strength, good athleticism, accurate at multiple levels and sees the field well.

He’s raw and inexperienced, but I think he can develop into a top tier passer in the NFL.

Weeks? Rams game was 11 days ago. We also don't know platlet count, family history, or if they're leaving out any details in the timeline. I doubt this even comes up if they didn't have a flight to London as I'm sure he's had contusions before, given that he's been playing football his whole life. All we have to go on is what they've told us, but your question about how this translates to medical guidance for high schoolers doesn't really make for an apples to apples comparison for obvious reasons.

I think they could trade Hurts for Herbert in post June 1st 2027 deal.

The good news is that his fiance would not move to Philadelphia with him so he could actually focus.

I'm rooting for it, I'd rather have those problems than everyone sucking. Ill never ever root for tanking, I can't stand seeing the Eagles lose.

I heard this on WIP so factor that in. It sounds like Troy expects to be a free agent after this season.

And yet, parents and coaches will be asking next time their kid gets cleated.

Can we really assume the flight is what caused the change? My guess is that its more likely another hit in the game caused it.

If we could know it was because of the flight, then its an easy answer to get the parent to calm down.

If not, its just a trust me bro situation.
