I forgot he was on the team lol

We shockingly carried 4 QBs on the roster into week 1. That doesn't happen very often.

It's almost like Hurts isnt the QB and now people are rooting for the team to fail.

Shocker.

Why not give this a shot for a week or 2 before throwing on the towel?

That is interesting, it does seam that all the Hurts supporters are now calling for all the young back ups to get playing time lol.

Your saying they did the wrong thing that's malpractice.

You're talking about NFLPA involvement, which would be for malpractice.

Someone else brought that up first and yeah it seems like they had a point

To answer my own question, did the pain get worse after the flight and that's why they did the ultrasound? Or were they always planning to do one and decided to wait until after the flight?

It's a legitimate question.

now am I supposed to send every player who gets cleated to the hospital for an ultrasound before clearing them?

Are these high school players flying to London the following week for their next game? Not to mention the stakes involved, which is why high school players don't get MRIs the following morning to rule out ligament tears at the same rate professional athletes with multi-million dollar salaries do.

And I smacked that down but you want to ignore

You did not. Multiple articles, including the one you quoted all state that Sirianni gave control to Moore when we was hired.

They are afraid of what could happen with Tanner McKee playing with the starters, and the offense not looking dysfunctional.

And he didn't honor it until after the BYE that's common knowledge which I addressed. He can't keep his hands out of things unless he is forced to like the convo with Gannon I mentioned saying I don't want to get fired. Like taking the run game over and forcing Jeff out.

The only thing I can sort of criticize the training staff about is not doing the ultrasound before flying to London. I wonder if they make a different decision if they knew about the clot before a long flight.

Skipping the long flight would have helped but wonder if we end up in the same position a week or two later anyway. Or were the long flights a large contributing factor to the clot moving?

If we get 1 yard per carry again this week Tanner will end up shell shocked. I’m thinking the playbook will widen now but if we do it intelligently it is going to be a work in progress and start slowly until the OL can stabilize a bit. Best guess is that the O ends up with better timing but with overall results being similar due to lack of rushing success and increased turnovers.

I mean, I'd expect a SLIGHTLY higher standard of care in the NFL. If you had any thought it was a clot, you'd check it before he flies. The fact they did an ultrasound in London means they had some suspicion of a clot/issue. If they thought that, then why wait until after the flight?

Your premise is undercut by the fact that they did do an ultrasound. It's odd they chose to do it AFTER he took a 7+ hour flight.

Yeah unless that's when he reported symptoms to them. We're they already in London or in the air on the plane?

Sure. The forward looking question now will be, should they?

It's the same debate with pre-participation ECGs for high achool athletes. It's not mandated in many states. Should it be?

You keep saying it is common knowledge when it is not. The facts are Jordan, Lane and Landon met with Siri and pushed for more running plays. This is factually backed up by Hurts averaging 33 pass attempts per game before the bye, and 22.5 pass attempts per game after the bye. This is also backed up by the fact that Kellen Moore has always been pass heavy as an OC and head coach.

2019 - 58% pass

2020 - 59%

2021 - 58%

2022 - 56%

2023 - 57%

2024 Philadelphia Eagles - 51%

2025,26 Saints - 54%, and Tyler Shough has the second most pass attempts in the NFL in 2026.

Just take the L, you have nothing but what you think is common knowledge. I have the facts, and have now given you data that backs up those facts.

If defenses begin to think they need to respect certain possibilities in the passing game, there may be new found room to run the ball.

Separate issues about the run game that I addressed. But it's amazing living in a world where Nick wasn't told during that season to stop getting involved in things. Something that has been discussed and accepted here for years. Stop being butthurt over it. He gets involved and things go to crap. It's why he won't be a HC again.

I'd play Calcaterra/ Stowers. Mundt is obviously having no effect as a run blocker with our stellar 1 yard per carry last week. Said it weeks ago. Either put an OL in there or pass catcher in there. Offer some redeeming quality for the offense. He offers absolutely nothing.

Im old enough to remember when taters seemed excited about getting him me included. After seeing Calc last year I thought a blocking TE would help the run game but he's a complete dud.

Statement says he reported symptoms on Thursday the 8th after practice. They practiced in Philly on Friday the 9th and then flew out. So he reported symptoms at least 24 hours before they left.

I was all for throwing in the towel before the Hurts news, and posted as such.

No thank you on Chambliss. Moore and Maiava

Id take flyers on Carr, Mensah and Mestemaker

Do you think Howie can trick the League into letting him draft 3 players with one 1st round pick.
