There is a QB flying under the radar. Virginia Tech QB Grunkemeyer has a 73% completion rating with a 12td/2int ration. He's been very clutch in many of their games this year. Leading a game winning drive in a nor'easter against BC and leading a last minute drive this past weekend against Cal. The defense prevented their way into a loss but Grunkemeyer is doing his part. Playing for Virginia Tech, who's pretty much eliminated from the ACC title race, he's not likely to get any hype. MIght be available as a value pick in the mid rounds.

If you do watch highlights. Keep an eye on Luke Reynolds. He's a big body tight end with a great catch radius and excellent hands.

If defenses begin to think they need to respect certain possibilities in the passing game, there may be new found room to run the ball.

I wish this was true. Would be awesome.

What are doing with all of your free-time on Sundays?

Complaining in the Blog. Defending Sirianni when he actually makes the right choices in game theory.

Sure. The forward looking question now will be, should they?

It's the same debate with pre-participation ECGs for high achool athletes. It's not mandated in many states. Should it be?

How many high school players get on an 8 hour flight a week after their game?

Don’t think it will do much unless the OL can improve. Having said that, I do think they will as they get a few games under their belts. I think it will feel pretty different under Tanner but I’m not expecting significant improvement in the overall results. Hope I’m wrong.

I don’t have any proof but

Being coached by known QB guru James Franklin - I’m in!

Looks like DeVonta will be back for Sunday.

Tank for Chambliss and get Gruden in here to draft some Grudens Grinders and profit.

I don't know how he looked so good in a few games two years ago and utter crap vs DC and all preseason. If he can find that guy again and be calmer in the pocket we've seen him progress quickly and take what's open. I'm hoping for it but not expecting it. Having much the same OL as he did in the preseason when he looked so bad they kept Dalton doesn't help his chances. Wicks and Lemon will get open so he will have chances. Those two are bright additions in a dark season.

Statement says he reported symptoms on Thursday the 8th after practice. They practiced in Philly on Friday the 9th and then flew out. So he reported symptoms at least 24 hours before they left.

The way it reads to me is that he told them about his contusion that day.

"Out of abundance of caution" they ultrasounded it after the flight. So to me that says, there were no new symptoms, it was just part of their plan, to see how it responded to the flight.

And then, was recommended they re-US after the return flight.

So it seems that at no time did Hurts go back to them with complaints of anything progressing/worsening. Even after both flights.

And that they were just going to keep a watchful eye.

The one part that is still slightly damning is that, they must have had at least a slight concern about how it would respond to the flights which is why they decided to do the ultrasounds. So you could still ask- if they were at all concerned, why let him take the trip?

The defense would be to find data that shows it is safe to fly with contusions. I wonder how many world cup soccer players just traveled around the world with cleat bruises on their legs with 0 issue. Im sure there were a bunch.

It wasnt meant to be directed at you, as I recall you were the first to say you were kind of excited to see the team with McKee. Just quoted yours as I had already been noticing the repeated sentiment that the team should tank now from the crowd on the wrong side of the Hurts debate.

lol

That’s my question - since we know flights can exacerbate clots, why not do the ultrasound before flying? That’s a legitimate question.

A hematoma can become an embolism without taking a flight. One way would be by playing with it, and taking another blow there. Can break off a piece that goes floating off.

I am not aware whether and to what extend a flight can exacerbate clots.

I am aware that a flight can cause a clot. Sitting sedentary for prolonged periods allows blood to pool. Its made worse by adding alcohol. But thats forming a clot. Different scenario than somehow causing a pre-existing clot to dislodge and move.

I dont know if this is a thing, or if people are making it a thing because they are conflating the two different scenarios...

Also, consider than NFL players are not confined to their little seat. They have nice big cubicles that gives them room to move, sit up, lay down, Im sure they can get up and walk around....

So obviously asides from the concern for Jalen… Does this give Sirianni a pass for the season? As there’s mitigating circumstances to potentially keep him on.

I think we could go 10-7 and that gets him coach of the year
